  • Follow us as we explore Lytle Creek's Cold-Water Canyon trail (3N06A). This is definitely one of my favorite local trails since high school. We were happy to see that there was still water running down the creek in June.
    The trail leads you past a beautiful stream of water that you can drive over. Once you surpass this creek, you will be greeted by some rutted areas. As you off-road down the trail and ascend higher, you will notice that the difficulty increases.
    My 4Runner is a Trail Edition 4x4, on Billsteins 1500's, Nitto Ridge Grappler's (33's), a 2-inch lift, and no lockers. My frame kept getting caught in the middle of the one of the ruts. After trying ATRAC and 4Lo, I decided it was a good idea to head back down to enjoy some of the water.
    Overall, we had a great time doing this trail in 90-degree weather. I am thankful to have also stumbled up some yellow post sites for future camping.

    @chrisdeguzman7795 I spoke to one of my co workers that works with Lytle Creek. He said this trail might not open up again until next year possibly due to fire damage. He wasn't 100% though.

      I've hit this both aired down and full psi and still get caught at the same rut. Threw it on 4LO and Atrac too. My issue is not enough travel. My frame kept getting caught. The ruts are deeper than it looks in the video.

    Looks like you stayed in 2wd most of the time. Is there a need for 4wd on that trail?

    • @Doom_runner
      @Doom_runner  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      You most definitely need 4wd and decent clearance towards the end of the trail. It gets very rutted and a bit gnarly right before the top.

      @@theemslounge You can still go to Lytle Creek. Instead of going to 3N06A. Which is the trail to the left. Keep to the right side. The trail will take you to some yellow post camp sites. The right side doesn’t require 4x4. Check out Coxey Road 3N14. This is a nice easy trail. Mostly fire roads but with some rutted areas and nice views. No worries!
