Lytle Creek - 3N06A - Coldwater Canyon Trail Day - 4Runner - Tacoma

Follow us as we explore Lytle Creek's Cold-Water Canyon trail (3N06A). This is definitely one of my favorite local trails since high school. We were happy to see that there was still water running down the creek in June.
The trail leads you past a beautiful stream of water that you can drive over. Once you surpass this creek, you will be greeted by some rutted areas. As you off-road down the trail and ascend higher, you will notice that the difficulty increases.
My 4Runner is a Trail Edition 4x4, on Billsteins 1500's, Nitto Ridge Grappler's (33's), a 2-inch lift, and no lockers. My frame kept getting caught in the middle of the one of the ruts. After trying ATRAC and 4Lo, I decided it was a good idea to head back down to enjoy some of the water.
Overall, we had a great time doing this trail in 90-degree weather. I am thankful to have also stumbled up some yellow post sites for future camping.
