I love the effort you put into the video but i think the math of the axe is foundamently flawed in the beginning of the video. The axe does 20 bonus damage and does another 50% extra to another bodypart, so the raw damage is almost double as high espicially vs naked opponents. 1handers can only compete with duellist and the 25% bonus that you get from doublegrip.
Your english might be rough here. But the Base damage of a Great Axe is 90 Average with 150% to Armor and +40% Pen. So vs a 300 Armor target it will do 90 x 1.5 = 135 Armor Damage... (165 Armor Remaining)... and 36 HPS Damage minus 16 from the remaining armor. Total damage = 135 to Armor and 20 to HP. IF the axe hits the Head... of which is it more likely to do... then the HP Damage will be 30 rather then 20 based of the formula we see. Testing with my Q-Daggers is showing that once Armor is GONE then the X% Pen Damage is also lost. So if the target had 10 Armor left... I THINK (but could be wrong) you hit them for 135 Damage + 36. But if they had no armor you would hit for 90 Damage. I keep stabing things with daggers and its always 30-45 Damage vs no Armor and 26 vs Armor But you should be able to find out better how the BIG 2 handers hit at low armor. Moral of the story is that in my vid I have it that a "Great Axe" Does 180 Damage a turn Standing Still... 180 Damage Moving 1 Hex... 96 Damage With a Long Axe. That damage is Armor +Pen Damage vs 200ish Armor target. Its less with more armor and more with less armor and WAY less with no armor. Most Heavy Armor Waring enemies in game are also Battle Forged... so we can't trust what the combat log says in Game. This gives 2 Handers AMAZING Mobile DPS compared to 1 Handers who are -50% Damage if they have to move. If you can find where I am wrong let me know. I had a friend that strugged with my "70% damage to armor >> 100% damgae to armor is a 43% Increase in damage." Had to go all the way down to 10% damage to Armor >> 20% is a +100% Increase in Damage... 20% >> 30% = +50% 30% >> 40% = +33% On and on it goes tell 90%-100% which is only 11% Increase. For this reason I think Legendary Nobel Swords (12-16 Stam x2 Attacks with 85-115% Damage to Armor) Are going to be one of the BEST 1 handed Weapons in the game. It won't take much to be 100% damage to Armor and -2 Stam. At that point you have a brother who's stamina will never move. Which Sinergizes with DODGE Per to a Horrifying degree... My 300/300 Bros are 40 Initiative and 65 Melee Defense.... So dodge = +6 MD When I put on some 280 Legendary Armor with -26 Stam... Suddenly Inicative goes up to 60 = +9 MD 5 MD (Base) +25 MD (Shield + Mastery) +35 MD for 3 Stars and 10 Levels = 65 MD Dodge Brings that up to 74 MD... Gifted Not Included. That's -62% Chance to Be Hit... VS Chosen with 75 Attack = 13% Chance to Be hit... Toss in Gifted, Confidant Moral, Legendary Shield and we can call it a 10% Chance to be hit. 10% Hit Chance... 300/300 Armor... Zero-Stam Nobel Sword doing 90 Damage per turn at 100% Armor Damage. HALF the damage of a Great Axe but x2 as hard to kill. The game is SHOCKINGLY well Balanced because that is EXACTLY what it should be. Not better... not worse... just different.
I'm Building that Nobel Sword Army now so if a couple weeks we can take a look at her in combat. Its a Peasant Militia Army... it kinda has to be... Hedge Nights and Oathkeepers are to CHAD on the attack to make use of the +10% chance to hit from swords. But the Peasant Militia should be 93% Chance to Hit most targets with it. Which I think is what is going to push it over the edge with them. Plan is to get past the Crisis... then spend 100+ Days doing nothing but arena trying to figure out how it works with the tournements. Buy that point should have a good 8+ Legendary Nobel Swords. No idea if that plan will survive contact with the enemy
Thank you for all your hard work
