      @@tietata9245 So are you still happy you went with the RP? I have a 6d and a SL2 right now and i feel only thing u dont get with the RP is C Log and 120fps and those 2 are not worth 800 bucks.

    hands down the best comparison video for sure, bad thing is i still cant decide which one to get. again amazing job thank you.

    This so helpful, thank you! Can you share what lenses you had on each camera during the comparison?

      I used the RF 35mm 1.8 for colours, skin, ISO, sharpness and face detection, the RF 24-105mm for dynamic range, AF, stabilisation and rolling shutter.

    • @BenchmarkTraining
      @BenchmarkTraining 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much @@MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons, that helps a lot!
      One more question if you don't mind... do you think the extra $$ for the RF versus the HF 24-105mm is worth it?
      I'm planning on using my M50 for my camera 2 along with my new RP for "talking head" videos... just not sure if I need the RF or not?

    The rolling shutter on both R and RP is nowhere as terrible as Sony aps A6+++ series.

    I do have a question though, is the ef lenses as good as the rf when recording a 4k video in the eos rp? cuz I got an ef lens and its looks almost useless to shoot 4k on the rp..

    • @MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons
      @MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you talking about the autofocus?

    • @mazenwardy
      @mazenwardy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons yeah, is it gonna be any faster if I used the rf glass?

    • @MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons
      @MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main problem with the RP is that it uses contrast detection AF in 4K, so it will be slow and more inaccurate with RF and EF lenses.

    If MagicLanter wont unlock dual pixel autofocus in RP in 4k mode then this camera is pretty useless and have nothing to offer from 80d.

    EOS R: "When recording in-camera, 4K video has 4:2:2 sampling and 8-bit color depth, a 4:2:2 10-bit clean output in ITU-R CT.2020 is possible when using an external recorder."

      The Canon website (UK) says:

    The rolling shutter seems pretty harsh on both. your example are only showing 4k rolling shutter issues correct? 1080P does not suffer from severe rolling shutter correct? Also the RP is said to have strong moire aliasing? I could not see this on the examples.

    • @MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons
      @MathieuGasquetMirrorLessons  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the video only shows the performance in 4K. I didn't find a lot of aliasing, at least not in 4K.
