    The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

    I'd like to see interviews with the same people a year or two later too. More check-ins with the same people. Or possibly find someone to continue with every 3 months or so and have them talk about their process. Maybe 10 minute progress report videos.

    Hi Sherri, I just want to say that if your anxiety about going outside with your glasses has anything to do with feeling not really seen by other people, don’t worry, I can see your spirit and your beauty beyond the frames. I used to feel the same way, like people aren’t seeing the real me and I somehow feel not as present in my body. I don’t feel that way anymore. 😊 Anyway, your progress is going great! Good luck with the rest of the journey! 👍🏼 And thanks, Jake, for the videos! ❤️

      @@Sanhash21 she is 8. To prevent myopia is mandatory to be pretty strict about phone use and any electronic device a kid can use. I stress her a lot about time to spend at a phone (few minutes per day) and to spend time playing outside after screen use or homework, reading and all close up activities. I hope this work can save her from myopia.

    I've been wearing glasses since I was 10 yrs old then Lasik @ 40. I totally agree that the stronger prescription makes the eyes weaker. I actually wear nonprescription glasses for client meetings to look smarter & more professional. I believe it does give me a more professional image. On another note about eye muscles, I used to wear sunglasses all the time & if I didn't have them on, I'd squint. The muscles that control contacting my pupils were weak. Unless I was in tht sun for extended periods if time, I didn't wear my sunglasses & now I do not squint if I'm in the sun. The muscles that control pupil contraction work immediately. Next I'm going to work on my night vision by stepping outside & looking around at night. Plus dimming lights inside occasionally to improve my night vision.

    I’m in a crisis, but I really want to start improving my eyesight! I’m kind of nervous because I’m still in school (starting 10th grade this coming fall), and I heavily depend on my glasses (-5.50 in both eyes) to be able to see in school, so hopefully schools don’t open again because of the ongoing virus (but I hope fewer people get sick)! Plus, I have an appointment to get my learners license in 10 days, so I can’t start improving my eyes because I need to be able to see clearly while I begin learning how to drive. I’m also in marching band, and we have to be able to see clearly in order to participate properly because it involves a lot of distant-seeing. I don’t know what I should do. There are so many barriers holding me back from trying to improve my eyesight, but I’m so tired of my glasses and I really want to improve my vision. Does anybody have any advice?!?!?!?!?!?!

    • @raraavis7782
      @raraavis7782 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mazbeen Ali
      If you reduce in small enough steps, you would probably be fine. A difference of 0,25 diopter is all but unnoticeable and would probably still give you good enough vision, to fulfill the requirements for driving (you should check that, obviously). Or you could wear your regular glasses for that and slightly lower ones for everything else.
      You can also limit screentime, use glasses with lower diopter for reading/computer work and practice active focus with them.
      Just don’t ask, me, to explain all that to you....I‘m kinda new to this, myself and English isn’t my first language 😉.
      Sign up for the 7 day newsletter and keep watching these TH-cam videos. Ones you start understanding the method, you’ll probably find a way, to work around your particular issues. Good luck!

    They should come up with contacts that can adapt to your vision. Once your vision starts to improve the contacts power gets lower. When you look up close the power only goes high enough to see what your looking at up close. By the way my right eye was -6 but now I'm using -5.25 in both eyes.

    Hello, I am going to try this method now. just visited the eye "doctor" guy and got prescriptions. It is now -7.50. I have been told by the optometrist to not to buy the glasses online because of my high numbers and there is a measurement for "PD" which really matters and if goes wrong, I might get strains on the eye muscle. Is this true ? I cant afford to have two glasses made if ordered locally, as they costs $500 each here in NZ. Is it alright if i purchased the glasses online ? Please help!

    • @jayzee2634
      @jayzee2634 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I got my PD measurements from an optometrist store, took those measurements and ordered a pair from online lol. I will let you know how that goes, I’m about -7 normalized, and I ordered -5.75 differentials.
