i appreciate this so much, thank you! i’ve never explicitly seen myself and my autism in novels, especially as an autistic girl, and it’s gotten quite exhausting. thank you so much for these recommendations!

Fellow proud autistic here :) Your bookshelf set up is magical af! Fantasy is lower on the list of my genres of choice, but I'm still really excited to find your channel :) Love Kiss Quotient, though I was a bit sad that Stella suppressed her stims all the time and didn't accept herself very well. But honestly, the book was really fun and cute and the chemistry was spot on! The audiobook was great.

Yay, it's lovely to meet you! I would have liked to see more of Stella accepting herself as well.

Thank you so much for this. I'm neurodiverse but have come to accept and not feel bad about my differences. But my teenage niece was diagnosed as autistic when she was quite young, which is amazing, but unfortunately her mom didn't really understand how important it was to educate herself, my niece and their family about autism so it was kind of just not really ever looked into anymore. My niece is now 14 years old and is in a psychiatric hospital for the fourth time, I think it is, because she's suicidal and self harms. I only just found out about how much she's been going through and I feel like because I know a lot more about neurodiversity, I'm just hoping I can help her. So I've been looking for some good books about girls with autism to send her at the hospital so she can start to understand herself and I really think that might be helpful. However I am more of a video-watcher than a reader so I don't know of any good books. So thank you again for this.

I hope your niece is able to get to a better place, and that she and her family can find some autistic friendly professionals as well as educating themselves 💜

Eliza and her monsters by Francesca Zappia. It never fully says what Eliza is dealing with (other than social anxiety) but Francesca is autistic and Eliza has all the traits.
