Big thanks to our editor Rob for filming this video all on his own! Sofyan was in Sweden seeing the new Volvo XC90, which is why he had to step in and while Rob has told us he prefers to be behind the camera, he did a great job stepping in at the last minute. Skip to 22:50 for a little comedic humor and if any of you ever gets to know Rob personally, his dry humor like that scene is a classic moment 😂
Rob you look great and have good camera presence. Please stay in front of the camera. Even with prompts, it’s hard to not make mistakes when speaking. It’s very tough work…but I am glad Rob is fighting his fears. You rock man.
I bought a new 2023 Tucson Hybrid, over a Rav4 Hybrid, because I was willing ot trade 5 MPG for superior smoothness and refinement. That's exactly what I got. 34 MPG, and EV level refinement. Had plenty of torque, from the electric motor, so you never really hear the 4 banger. Excellent daily.
When Consumer Reports did their mileage tests (mix of city and highway, over thousands of miles) the RAV4 Hybrid got 37mpg, Tucson hybrid got 35mpg. So not as big of a difference as you'd think.
I drive a Highlander hybrid and it is LOUD when the engine kicks in. It drives well enough without too many of the hybrid flywheel lunges. I had a regular Tucson that I traded and thinking of this hybrid to give it a bit better acceleration, power and mileage.
Thanks for including some of the bloopers, especially during the remote parking feature, lol. I think that this is a nice update, especially to the center console and the steering wheel.
Great review, but some of us simply can't AFFORD a small SUV with every bell and whistle. All new cars are seemingly too expensive. It's crazy. I'm having a little hard time finding a review of the SEL model...
Rob, you did an outstanding job on this review. Love your sense of humor! It was also good to see Kirk Kreifels, another of my car review favorites, giving some insightful commentary.
This a movie…Rob blows up, becomes famous, gets tapped by Motortrend to be their new face of the brand, makes celebrity friends, starts hosting Top Gear! Meanwhile Soyfan becomes depressed, starts drinking, flips out while high at a car show & rolls his new Volvo into a ditch! Roll credits, A Star Is Born 😂😂
This is the one that I've been waiting for. It looks like there's a couple of dealers that are starting to get the hybrid models to but most of them won't get them until the end of the month beginning of next month. I watched all the videos from the guy that runs the car scenes Korea channel and it has a huge amount of improvements. I just hope that the Hyundai plant in Georgia doesn't screw this up like they've done with some other cars.
Sorry to disappoint! Hyandai/KIA SUVs are great under warranty. Great design, value, storage and comfort. Only weak spots are rear turn signals (too low) and so so resale value which indicates marginal reliability.
@@naveenthemachineYeah, just far more expensive products like the Santa Fe. Quit acting like people don't have a right to question Hyundai with their bad history. People have a right to ask that.
He’s far too far away from the vehicle for the remote parking function to work properly. I have 2 Genesis GV70s. It’s a safety feature. They want you close to the car to ensure you are checking the surroundings for safety.
I have a base model Outlander that has a ton of unused button blanks. I found a sticker set on etsy for things exactly like "eject", as well as y'know, banana peel, flux capacitor, tardis, etc.
I got mine 2025 tucson phev ultimate 2 weeks ago. (Canada) Facing 2 problems : 1. Significant wind noise over 90 kmph speed. No leak in the seal though. 2. On highway, it uses +9L/100. Very less fuel efficient. Any help appreciated
Rob, such a good job on the review but why was Kirk being a dick, especially to someone filling in for the channel? Glad I unsubscribed months ago to his channel. 😕
On long road trips, I think the plug-in hybrid battery will last about 40 miles (assuming no recharging). After that, you’re driving on the 1.6L gas engine, which is smaller than the 2.5L engine in the gas-only model. So with the plug-in hybrid, does this mean you’re stuck with lower performance on long road trips?
The rear turn signals are the thing I dislike the most. With such a stylistic rear taillight design the put incandescent turn signals where the rear fog lights should be. So many manufacturers give their vehicles a mismatch of LED head/taillights and incandescent turn signals. Why they do that ? Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, Toyota.
Why did you get the Hyundai cynic to review this vehicle? All he did was downplay everything and throw in cheap shot insults. Your reviews are becoming more personal rather then objective.
How's the ride comfort? I have a 22 SEL and over dips and cracks it feels like the suspension barely does anything to keep it from coming into the cabin. The car gets upset even over smaller bumps and cracks in the road. Maybe it's the 19in rims but I guess I was expecting a bit more isolation from road imperfections.
Why Why is there no way to turn off the “consider taking a break “ Notification? I have a 2025 Tucson and I’m considering returning it for a car that doesn’t beep at me because it’s windy or there’s too much construction with uneven lanes. Do not buy Hyundai until they allow you to turn off all these nagging and distracting erroneous notifications. Thank you, Hyundai for ruining my new car experience.
I have had my 2025 Limited Hybrid for 50 days now. (1500 miles) The MPG is horrible, and I don't recommend it. I have reached 30 MPG yet with average driving. 28.8 last fill.
Read so many horror stories about Hyundai's engine issues and how they treat customers after these engine issues start. Is that all true for 2024-25 Tucson too?
I think you need to do a better job to know the features of the car. The car seats are leather. The finger print reader is used as a part of two-factor authentication and the dashboard could do much more than what has been explained.
This is still missing features like 5 door smart key, hands free lift gate, digital rear view mirror, all automatic windows, plug in hybrid version, soft touch materials in the rear doors, base model hybrid, higher MPGs. Also you could’ve made this review without Kirk. I think he made the drive portion of the review kinda awkward.
@@naveenthemachine yea they don’t matter when Hyundai doesn’t have it but if Hyundai had it and other manufacturers didn’t you’d be copying and pasting comments about it. Your hypocrisy is CRAZYY🤣🤣

I want reliability over anything especially tech that is gonna break or motors that don’t blowup and the dealer voids warranty for window tint (magnunson act I know) Hyundai is overpriced garbage!

I dont like the Hyundai key fob
As the owner of a 2024 kona I agree, it feels very cheap and light and seems a design for designs sake rather than something nice to hold.
I agree. I also heard the paint chips off. I suggest getting a fob cover ("skin").
Looks nice, but I’d rather see it with a CVT and more efficiency isn’t that the point of a hybrid? I get 40 mpg avg in my hybrid escape
