- The #HyundaiTucson in its current form has only been around since 2022, but #Hyundai seriously raised the bar pretty high when the new #TucsonHybrid showed up. For 2025, the new #HyundaiTucsonHybrid gets its first refresh and while the exterior style didn’t need too many changes, Hyundai made sure to give its best-selling model improved technology and more power for both Hybrid powertrains.

Big thanks to our editor Rob for filming this video all on his own! Sofyan was in Sweden seeing the new Volvo XC90, which is why he had to step in and while Rob has told us he prefers to be behind the camera, he did a great job stepping in at the last minute. I bought a new 2023 Tucson Hybrid, over a Rav4 Hybrid, because I was willing ot trade 5 MPG for superior smoothness and refinement. That's exactly what I got. 34 MPG, and EV level refinement.
Had plenty of torque, from the electric motor, so you never really hear the 4 banger. Excellent daily.
When Consumer Reports did their mileage tests (mix of city and highway, over thousands of miles) the RAV4 Hybrid got 37mpg, Tucson hybrid got 35mpg. So not as big of a difference as you'd think.
Rob you look great and have good camera presence. Please stay in front of the camera. Even with prompts, it’s hard to not make mistakes when speaking. It’s very tough work…but I am glad Rob is fighting his fears. You rock man.

Sorry to disappoint! Hyandai/KIA SUVs are great under warranty. Great design, value, storage and comfort. Only weak spots are rear turn signals (too low) and so so resale value which indicates marginal reliability.

This is the one that I've been waiting for. It looks like there's a couple of dealers that are starting to get the hybrid models to but most of them won't get them until the end of the month beginning of next month. I watched all the videos from the guy that runs the car scenes Korea channel and it has a huge amount of improvements. I just hope that the Hyundai plant in Georgia doesn't screw this up like they've done with some other cars.

I have a base model Outlander that has a ton of unused button blanks. I found a sticker set on etsy for things exactly like "eject", as well as y'know, banana peel, flux capacitor, tardis, etc.
This guy sounds like he's reading off a users manual. Someone is so much more organic and comfortable with his presentation.

Looks nice, but I’d rather see it with a CVT and more efficiency isn’t that the point of a hybrid? I get 40 mpg avg in my hybrid escape

The rear turn signals are the thing I dislike the most. With such a stylistic rear taillight design the put incandescent turn signals where the rear fog lights should be.
So many manufacturers give their vehicles a mismatch of LED head/taillights and incandescent turn signals. Why they do that ? Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, Toyota.

Not sure why the top trim hybrid doesn’t have power folding mirrors. Has a HUD but no power folding mirrors.

I think you need to do a better job to know the features of the car. The car seats are leather. The finger print reader is used as a part of two-factor authentication and the dashboard could do much more than what has been explained.
This is still missing features like 5 door smart key, hands free lift gate, digital rear view mirror, all automatic windows, plug in hybrid version, soft touch materials in the rear doors, base model hybrid, higher MPGs. Also you could’ve made this review without Kirk. I think he made the drive portion of the review kinda awkward.
None of these matter
Plus you can get a PHEV version.

@@jxmar_ but it has hands free lift gate, soft touch in rear, Hybrid Blue is the base hybrid trim, and a PHEV version exists. 6 speed auto trans is probably the only reason it comes up 2 MPG shy of a RAV 4, which is hardly anything

If Hyundai would have stayed cheaper than the competitors it would be a no brainer but they are just as expensive if not more than the other ones and their dealer network sucks! I want reliability over anything especially tech that is gonna break or motors that don’t blowup and the dealer voids warranty for window tint (magnunson act I know) Hyundai is overpriced garbage!
