    No degree here, but when I started bookkeeping, I found I loved accounting and had a knack for it. Lots of other accountants who went to school had no idea what actual accounting is before they started working, and I find they're more rules-based than principles based and often don't like it.

    I have an AAS (Associate of Applied Science degree), an accounting certificate and a Bookkeeping certificate. I graduated December 2022. I received my official diplomas today and I still have no found an AP or AR job in my area or state that doesn't want 3-5 years experience or a Bachelor's degree.
    Those degree and these certificates were a scam and waste of money!! So no, I don't believe this crap.

    Wow this was good information. I didn't know you could get paid so much with simple high school degree. Also feels weird that Accounts Payable Manager is 95k but CPA after so much work and probably gathering experience is 200k. Just a 100k jump.

      @zan1971 While it is possible to land an AP, AR, or bookkeeping job with a high school degree, there's a high chance that you won't because there are plenty of college graduates out there who are competing for these jobs as well. Besides, these days all companies want experience, and if you only have a high school degree and no experience, your chance of getting hired is zero.

    With automation likely happening to bookkeeping, A/P, A/R jobs, would an Accounting degree still be worth it? Lower level jobs going away means that getting an entry level job or breaking into the field would be near impossible.

    • @TheFinancialController
      @TheFinancialController  ปีที่แล้ว

      Still worth it. It will pay even more but you have to learn financial systems (ERP, Procure to Pay, etc)

    If you are to transfer merits and virtues
    to someone else, choose someone
    who is a virtuous individual.
    Helping an evil person not only
    creates karmic obstacles,
    but also amounts to aiding and abetting
    their wrongdoings.
