I think you are doing great. A lad of your age doing stuff like this, it is inspiring. You are going to do great things with your life it is obvious. Keep at it.
Just as an FYI, with sheet plastic like that, if you are careful, you can use a heat gun to get some stretch out of it. If you consider this, practice on some scrap pieces first. Also, like upholstery, start working from the center and work symmetrically to the edges. You always get a better result that way. You're making great progress! Keep it up! :)
Good point! I figured out this is a weird fiberglass type of deal, so I'm not sure a heat gun would work. It's always good to use a test piece! I'll make sure to work from the center! Thank you again for all of your advice!!
@@CaptainBobSim Yes, like this. You have also noticed that the width of the pilot hole can be critical. If you want to screw two pieces on top of each other then the hole in the upper piece has to be at least as wide as the screw and the hole in the lower one around 80% of the screw width or a little bit less.
I've used them for a few weeks and I already feel the superpowers incubating. Whoever pays for grip strengtheners is paying too much, Clecos are a functional solution.
Here's the other video I did: th-cam.com/video/uw5dYRY-tKc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/WlOXnSN03Ys/w-d-xo.html I'd honestly recommend Karl (DIY737SIM)'s yoke video.
Also I wouldn't use ply for your covering. To make that work you would need to soak the ply to get the bends in place and also you will get splintering on your cuts just like you did with the stringers. I seriously would still think about using the plastic sheet you have been using and overlapping the edges. Try making the material go from the top center working down in strips. You would probably get away with 4 strips 2 each side.
Let me know if you find the video chapters helpful! They take a bit of effort for me to make, but it's worth it to me if it's valuable to you.
Very helpful

Thank you so much SimilAir!
11:12 that laugh tho 😂
Wait. I didn't edit that out? 😮
Well done! I like the progress you're making.
Thank you show me!

Yes this information is correct Trevor please use this for your project
EXACTLY like upholstery start from the middle and go to the edges even tho upholstery takes time it turns out really good

Hi, when you use pan head screws in a sunk hole, you reduce the risk of splitting the wood.
Maybe something like this? www.rapidstartusa.com/product/12-8-x-3-4-pan-head-wood-screw-3-phillips-coarse-type-17-zinc/
@@CaptainBobSim yeah something like that

Awesome 👏🏼 love it!!
Love the intro😂
Also after building a plane for a few years you have hands of steel from clecos (I doubt I spelled that right)
I've used them for a few weeks and I already feel the superpowers incubating.

Best intro ever
Heck yeah!!
Hey captain bob! Can you do the video wiring the 737 yoke? I need that

You may use a stapler
instead of scrubs , I made a side panel using those materials and the stapler worked perfectly
Which sampler are you talking about? (Do you have a link by chance?)
Sorry about my English I cheque the translation and what I wanted to mean is an industrial stapler.
@@posquequeriasaviacionaviac3021 Good idea! Thank you for sharing it :)
Is a pleasure
Hi , how is your flight training going ?
I'm focusing on my school classes right now, but I really want to get started. :)
Have a nice day!

Thank you for the insight! I added this to a note :)
Really good and you have done lots off progress on your simulator
Thank you Bosse!
That intro tho 👌
Hooray! I'm pretty proud of it 😛
