Great updated version of this tutorial, Trevor! I have just switched my cockpit sim to MSFS and this guide had my modified flaps switch (and whiskey compass) running nicely in no time. In my case, I just needed to add some transform values for the servo position.
Can you please direct me to a good video on the electronic/software side of connecting peripherals to sims? Ie. I know nothing about mobi flight or other software, ardininos, etc.

Magic engine and propeller, 1/2 magic horizonal stabilizers, and the most magic are the wings with flaps creating lift and drag, lift and drag Forces on the wings.: yaw/roll forces, Pitch forces.: the lift and the Ground force........
Hi Trevor, I've been away some time, but back on X-plane 11 and arduino again. Can you do both the indicator and the lever in Air Manager? The indicator is working fine, but not for the lever...
MobiFlight sadly keeps printing the warn on flaps input value "change" as if I was rotating the potentiometer even tho I'm not even touching it. Have you ever cross this issue before?
Hi captain bob and thank you for your great videos. I’ve got a question can I connect to one arduino trim wheel, throttle mixture and flaps all at the same time?
Hi captain Bob instead of compare tad it shows another one that says modify and has different settings what do I do set the input and output values? TIA
I have a problem with my servos. When I press "test" in Mobiflight, the servo moves. When I press "stop" nothing happens. Maybe someone can help me? Thank you!
noob question here! firstly this is sick!! secondly, does this work on arduino leonardo/pro micro? and does the software you are using replace the need for arduino IDE? making it easier to configure potentimeters, buttons and switches easier for simulators?
Hello! Here are the supported modules according to the site: Arduino Mega, Arduino Mega Pro Mini, Arduino Pro Micro, Arduino Uno, Arduino Nano This replaces the need for Arduino IDE, which makes it a lot easier for people without coding experience :) Welcome aboard!
excellent! im so glad ive stumbled onto your channel, i have just gotten to grips with the c172 and want to make my own cockpit now :)) i will crack on making this flaps panel! thanks for the quick reply :)

Amazing work on the Cessna 172! I was wondering if you could do some tutorials on the fusion 360 side of things, as there don’t seem to be any tutorials showing how to design stuff for flight sims in fusion 360. And I have another question, where do you find electronic components in fusion 360 that you can use to design stuff? I want to make some stuff but can’t find the electronic component models. Thank you, and good luck!
Great suggestion! I did some CAD videos back in the day on designing my shell but nothing nitty gritty. My last live stream I did some CAD th-cam.com/users/live6HXtWVU_os4?feature=share The reason I haven't done a CAD video is because it takes for-freaking-ever. The CAD shell series was about 20 hours edited down to 2 hours. It didn't really get a lot of attention - I think it was quite boring. Maybe a tutorial of something would be cool! The main issue is that to do a tutorial it should be polished and well thought out, but in reality my cad process is somewhat messy/nonlinear. What are your thoughts?
@@CaptainBobSim Thank you for the reply! Maybe if you do a video showing the basic process of how you design something in fusion, doesn’t have to be anything in depth. I can find plenty of videos building cockpit parts, and almost none showing the design process, so anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the link to the livestream, I was trying to find it but all of your livestreams from less than 1 year ago are unlisted. Thank you for the reply, I’ll try going through the livestream for the process.
Excellent build, well designed/simple build. You put a lot of effort into these builds and it is appreciated
Much appreciated! I try to build everything as simple as I can - it helps it so that there are (usually) less points of failure.

Awesome!! I'm so glad it worked nicely for you!
your a wizard mate. All the best at the expo.
Thank you CessSim! Hope it goes well too! :)
Very intuitive explanation of the mechanics behind this. Thanks for sharing. 👍👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
great video, this will help greatly with my sim build. very informative
I'm so glad! I hope you enjoy the build!
ty for the all those vids i really enjoy ur works :D
I am so glad you are enjoying them!
Awesome job!
Thank you!!
Great Job.
Thank you!! Cheers!
Wow kid grew up
It's crazy to look back at the first videos!
Hi did you find a solution for the C172 starter switch- OFF-LEFT-RIGHT-BOTH did work in MSFS, but START position did not work in you panel video. TY.
Can you please direct me to a good video on the electronic/software side of connecting peripherals to sims?

Hi! You did a great job and I wanted to have a go at making it and I was wandering if you need supports when printing the parts?
No need if you printer does well with bridging, but I'd enable them to be safe.
Ok thanks!@@CaptainBobSim

In a way it controls things so I guess it's a magic stick!

I no longer make custom video requests but I may be able to help you via my flight sim services: captainbobsim.com/services

Can you tell m how I used this for fsx?

Hello! Now interpolation is under the modifier tab! Add it as a modifier

Well, I know what I’m doing this weekend.
Alright! Let me know how it goes!
can i get the kit only?
Yep! Just don't purchase the assembly fee :)

I find my models on GrabCAD. It saves loads of time. Also designing them myself where I can't find a good model.

Is it working with Microsoft FlightSimulator?
Yep!
are you color blind? if you are, that’s cool cuz i am too!
