- For my Presets visit: johnnathancord... @DavidBeebee mentioned the Heliosphere to me the other day, so I thought I'd take another look. It's a bit of a temperamental beast, but actually having delay and reverb in one block means you can actually do some interesting things with it, and it can behave totally differently snapshot to snapshot....

I think a few of the recent videos have been caught by what I presume is an automated safety measure, if you'd be so kind as to leave comments, like this one, subscribe if you haven't yet; I'm hoping it may be possible to get the channel back on track to stumbling mediocrity in no time....Thanks for your patience!!

These preset builds are just so useful. Learning from these has transformed my use of my HX Stomp.
There's something very satisfying about knowing how and why a preset works and being able to tweak it with intention.

I like how the 3.15 update went pretty much full shoegaze with the amount of ambient effects. (almost...the helix won't be full shoe gaze zone till there is a truereverse reverb)

On the intro music/demo did you use an hx stomp or were you using a Helix unit? Anyways amazing playing sounds great. I am buying a stomp or a LT and will be buying your patches immediately.

I have just joined the Helix family, I have been struggling with some of the concepts and frankly have not had as much time
To work on using it as I would like. I play through mostly my Boogie 5:25 head with my older Mark III cabs. I am trying to get the 4 cable method working. I would love to see how to set it up so I can switch amp modes, and have multiple effects controlled by the helix switches. I don’t really need any amp modeling cabs etc since I love the sound of my amp as is. I know it should be simple but I’m having trouble grasping some of it. Any help for this would be most appreciated. If this is not the correct way to suggest/request feel free to delete my comment. Thx and VERY glad you’re back sir !!
Good job taming it. I like it but haven’t gone in depth with it because of limited time and its weirdness.
Love this verb/delay, how do you think it compares to something like the eqd dispatch master? Both seem to cover the subtle to immense.
Hell what preset do you have that can go in front of an amp, I need one ASAP, dual delay glitz pitch lead and overdrive. Send coffee money lol need a strat and humbucker 3 snapshots

I’ve noticed that on your Helix presets you always have a lot of feedback on the delay. On the Fractal I feel like this much feedback would just go on forever if not self-oscillate. Have you noticed that these behave differently?
Random question - Where did you grow up? My girlfriend has overheard your videos when I watch them and called you "that Bristol guitar bloke" based on your accent. I said he's from Exeter in Devon as far as I know and the accent is similar (We're oop north) but she insists you're from Bristol and must have moved. I insist she's crap at identifying accents. Can you help settle an argument?
Maybe this is just because you're British, but you have to stop apologising for other people screwing you over. I can't imagine anyone here thinking they're owed an apology for that, or at least definitely not from you.
Aaaaanyway: This could be a great ambient reverb with the RevMix at 100%! How do you know what some of these parameters mean/do? is it experience or do you have a better manual? I was completely stumped by the "Scale" parameter. I could hear a change in the rhythm, but I couldn't figure out which way to move the knob for the rhythm I was looking for.

It is not correct to use terms such as "most unique" or "very unique". Unique MEANS one-of-a-kind, not merely rare or unusual. People who misuse this term are also fond of employing 'impact' as a verb.
Impact is an acceptable verb - .
"Come into forcible contact with another object."
In context - As Jim's neck impacted, the bridge buckled
@@johnnathancordy I didnt say impact was incorrect as a verb, though your usage in the example is not great. The bridge is impacted by the effect of my neck, like the youtube jazz community was impacted by Johnny Crypto selling out.
