- Where I left off with ChiChi plus his reaction to seeing me after 10 days being cared for by my mom and Capri. Dave and I went to Florida on some in home consultations for 10 days working with blue and gold macaws and a rose breasted cockatoo... plus we got to enjoy the company of a cockatiel!

2: The Irish don't drink as much as you think. I'm from London and moved to Waterford in Ireland eight years ago and during the time I've lived here I've seen a lot of pubs close down in this city and some are becoming apartments. I've been told that the pub industry in Ireland has been dying over the past 15 years. Even the oldest pub in Waterford closed its doors after 300 years.

Chester became very ill. He died. It was terrible. Also, avian veterinarians are very expensive, I should know.

My parakeet would just land on my shoulder and poop on it. You have a very affectionate and caring pet there.
You can potty train your bird, I did with my geen cheek conure, and it took about a month but once he understood the words "go potty" it went fast from there!! Hope this helps for your bird. First I kept repeating it and when he went, Then I clicked ,let him out and immediately gave him a treat, but first he had to learn clicker and target training, you can just use a clicker at first, then each time you click you give him/her a treat, so the bird knows what the clicker means😉😀👍👍

I tell my old Sun Conure to give me the wings and she outstretches while I rub under them. She prefers praise and affection which made all her training quite easy.

BTW: I incidentally discovered that the pure, thin, polyester sport/workout shirts made to evaporate-sweat quickly (and are currently made by most of the big sports-wear companies) don't get holes chewed through them when my caiques chew on them AND my caiques REALLY CHEW ON THEM. 😳 So, I wear theses shirts ALL the time & no more holes in my shirts!!! 😊

I've tought mine to hang upside down, step up, kiss, wave, and shake, I can't wait to see what else he can learn! He's only 7 months old aswell😊
I used to work in a pet store and a customer returned a caique who was neurotic. By the time we finished training “he” was stepping up, laying on his back picking up objects with his claws like he was weight lifting, he would dance on command, and he’d do a semi roll over. We made sure he never favored one employee and socialized in front of the other medium sized birds so they would get equal attention. It’s not policy, but sometimes we’d play birdsong for new birds to help make them comfortable in their new space. My vote would be dance, I love seeing them dance

Jamie, I need to thank you guys because I have a gcc and would call him to come to me repeatedly, you suggested that it is best when teaching indoors for a smaller bird ,to only ask once and he should come, been working on this for bout 5 days and "Jake" is now coming on command with me saying it one time!!! Thanxs so much, I never would have thought that I was training incorrectly, but I Was, Great advise, especially if the unexpected happened and he got outside! You guys saved me and my bird, p.s. still perfecting this ,since i just started doing it right, and for only about 10 minutes each training session, like you had suggested!! Love you both!! Your the best
