I remember first reading this story as a young teenager, and being utterly captivated. Thank you for bringing Robert E. Howard's written word to life in such a vivid manner.
The sound effects and accents of the narrators enriches the visuals of the experience. I'm always convinced that I'm watching that wild Cimmerian travel through Hyborea. Thanks so much for all of the effort you put into these audio books.
A truly masterful performance! You bring the words of Robert.E.Howard to life with just voice and sound! I especially enjoyed the performance of the voice actress for Octavia.She did her character justice portraying her attempt to hold onto her regal dignity whilst finding herself thrown into terror upon terrors.I hope we can hear more of her in the future.
Very true, Octavia is the daughter of a Nemedian lord, and Nemedia is analogous of the Holy Roman Empire, which is ancient Germany, however given the area of her capture, her father, the Nemedian lord, may well have been a diplomat or emissary travelling to various lands so Octavia could have been raised and educated almost anywhere.
I love 💕 this stuff so much i just relisten to it funny thing is i searched 🔍🔎 for this, i just wanted to hear some Conan, i had no idea 💡 how great this was going to be. The sound effects, the narration, it is all done so supremely well, algorithm be damned because it never showed me this, i had to be smart 🤓 enough to discover this myself. Nice 👍🏾🙂 job adding these pictures too, there like nice peaceful computer 🖥️💻 screensavers
A wonderful reading of a magnificent original Conan story by REH! This site has the very best readings of the Conan stories, a wonderful audio that draws you into the story with excellent narration and voice acting. Very highly recommended.

Ive never read that Conan story before. Very good one. The villain was very interesting. Your production is great, amazing voice and reading, i didnt expect all the mood music and sound effects. I also didnt expect multiple different voice actors doing parts, that really makes it like radio theater. The images were really good also for stirring the imagination.
Man o man you did great, and I mean great 😃👍 "you belong to me now, give me a kiss 💋😘" hearing that girl trying to fight him off 📴 and struggle as he just laughs and laughs 😂 is almost to much to bear. Great narration
It's been many yrs since of read these so I thank you for doing them. I'm listening to them by publishing dates it seems there are 1 stories missing. The people of the black circle or is it named differently. I know some didn't have names and others decided names.
We've still to get to that one, we aren't recording them in any specific order, but we put them on our playlist in chronological order for the character. Our next Conan will be Black Colossus.

well he draws most monsters from nature and reality (when he's not dipping into cthulhu) so there's apes and wolves and spiders etc, and of course snakes, but they always had more meaning and mysticism (eg. skin shedding represents life and rebirth and immortality etc) so that's probably why they are used more
@@TheCybrarian well that makes sense I personally just don't like snakes they give me the creeps lol but it'll be nice to see Conan fight a dragon for once.
@@rdf4315 I think that's probably another reason REH goes for snakes n spiders is people's aversion to them. I believe conan does fight a dragon at one point, but it doesn't have wings, its like a huge komodo dragon lizard

This was great!! Wonderful production!! You can certainly hear how Howard's friendship with Lovecraft influenced his stories in this one.
absolutely, the whole intro with the lone man in his small boat finding the mysterious island and awakening its horror is very reminisent

The original was amazing, but the remaster is majestic. Though given the Vale of Lost Women, I expected Octavia to have a German accent. 😆
