I love the fact that Ann and Chris rekindled their relationship after and because he went to therapy and she dated herself. I think the moment that defines their future romantic life is when they fail the parent compatibility test but Chris doesn't fall into a bottomless pit of despair and Ann doesn't feel like imitating him. They overcome it together by focusing on what matters, which they weren't able to do before. Parks and rec really made some great romances.

Chris and Anne were so underrated. It was beautiful to watch them grow as separate people and come together better than before

Not really, besides the excitability.
Mr. Peanut Butter is excitable, but also voracious for competing and grand gestures regardless of other peoples' feelings.
Chris is a bit better at emotional intelligence, and being able to focus on people besides himself a bit better, especially when he talks one on one.
Chris is like Mr. Peanutbutter if he was really into fitness, and had a better attention span.
I understand why Ann gets upset at Chris' constant positivity but i truly love them as a couple, i love that he even tried his best to help and even stopping the over positivity so she could accept the discomfort she was in, theyre such a great couple imo

Chris decides ro become a dad and the first thing he does is make a dad joke

Chris is a sweetheart even though he is annoyingly perfect and happy.
I started loving his character when you start to see the cracks in that. He learns to let himself be unperfect and sit through and learn from feelings that aren't happiness without falling apart. Really interesting to watch.

@@suzsiz after that admission about his blood disorder as a kid, he says "every day after has been amazing". That means he set himself up for failure, because any day he might feel less than amazing will cause him to punish himself as if he isn't grateful for the life he has. It all makes sense that he's so terrified of feeling anything other than joy because of this standard he held himself to. That's exactly why he spiraled so completely after just experiencing the range of human emotions. It's so interesting to watch him in the final seasons because his facial expressions vary to a degree they never did in the first three seasons where he had a smile plastered on his face constantly. Now he allows himself to feel. I love that.

@4:12 I never noticed Chris filled in the wrong circle and had to fix it by over doing the marks in the correct one. It’s the little things that make these characters and their neuroses just JUMP off the screen.
So Ann and Chris walked into the clinic, checked in, waited in the waiting room, got called in, Ann sat down, got her tummy smeared, the doctor found the baby all in the time it took Tom to barge in? That is an efficient clinic.
