I believe it's been confirmed on Twitter by Netflix that it's Johnny Yong Bosch who is voicing Dante
Considering the possibility of Nero showing up in this series is next to none, I can see that decision flying.

I recognised that voice instantly, that's Johnny Yong Bosch, a former power ranger, tons of voice acting credits, one of his biggest anime roles being Ichigo in the Bleach series but I'm sure he also voices Nero right?

So we got Mad Dog and his goons from the Light Novel, Cindi and the fast food place from the original anime, we got Rabbit from the DMC prequel manga?! I'm getting the vibes that they are trying to make a cohesive timeline of events, while mixing and matching things to make sense in a remix of some kind?! We get a lot of demons as well, 'cause I can also see AGNI and RUDRA on top of the cars!
No ebony and ivory, both skulls on Rebellion mouths being closed meaning he hasn't awaken it yet, having the amulet meaning pre-Mallet Island and The Hare from Alice and Wonderland, this smells like a remastered version of both the DMC 1 novel and DMC 3 manga put together and it makes sense cause those two media's are right next to each other chronologically

@@LeonS.kennedyswife no, DMC 1 Novel is canonically the first thing in the series, he doesn't have Ebony and Ivory yet in the DMC 1 Novel, he has Force Edge but that was before DMC 2 came out, Force Edge in the DMC 1 Novel has already been retconned into actually being Rebellion

For anyone who doesn’t know: the Mad Hatter is indeed Arkham. There’s a panel in the DMC3 manga where Arkham’s shadow is behind the Mad Hatter. If that isn’t proof enough then maybe the fact that he was trying to bring Vergil and Dante together is. After all, he’d need both parts of the Perfect Amulet.
So it is based on the manga or has bits of the story in there
So Johnny Yong Bosch is Dante. Johnny confirms there is a reason, but it's something he cannot disclose yet (also confirming it has nothing to do with anyone not liking Reuben), this could be cause he sounds younger, cause White Rabbit may (more than likely) confirm its a prequel taking place during the Manga story.
Dante is also using berettas in the trailer
@logandelaharpe6362 true they are not ebony and ivory, meaning it's likely that we'll see Nell. And like he pointed out, that could be Enzo behind him. Also there's a blonde girl in rhe trailer who could be the demon Alice. The guy who he said could be Arkham is likely the Mad Hatter. Arkham has a few personalities (Jester for example) and in the Manga, he is also the Mad Hatter

Also, DNC i think the scene where he shoots the floor of the burning building is a scene from the manga. Its clear the Alice rescue mission will be done this season.

Never blindly support a product before you get the change to try it out, if the anime is bad (obviously I don't want that) we gotta point it out.

I think the guns aren't supposed to be Ebony and Ivory, it's probably a way to have Dante use the Rebellion in a way that makes sense, 'cus he just breaks normal guns, so that's a way to include swordfighting scenes imo
By the time April hits , the animation for Dmc will be even better and more polished than the trailer which is great!

Johnny said he replaced Reuben for a reason not related to Reuben being let go, my guess is they are doing a young sounding dante here and then bring in Reuben for like a season 2 where he is older

not upset with the johnny yong bosch pick for young dante but learning about reuben langdons recent drama is very upsetting
Great video and analysis. I'm gonna list some things I noticed in the trailer too.
- Dante loses his amulet again. Several scenes (shirtless scenes most obvious) he no longer has it.
-Dante rocking his DMC4 coat a lot.
-No engraving as you mentioned on pistols (will tie this into another point)
-I could swear in the close up of Dante smirking with the gun his eyes are blue, but in another scene they are green?? (its the close up of him just before the Arkham looking monster)
- I get the feeling the Arkham monster may be related to Lady appearing in the show. Maybe visions of her father she gets?
-The only reason I can think of so far why Rebellion looks different, no ebony and ivory, why Dante has his amulet again (he doesnt have it in DMC4 or DMC5 as its already the sword Sparda by then which Trish uses) either makes me think we are actually looking at Nero here (hence Johnny Yong Bosch voicing) who is filling in as Dante using his alias while he is in the Demon World/While taking over Devil May Cry and its not a prequel to DMC5 anymore, but instead a sequel or else this is an alternate timeline. But something funny is definitely happening there.

That last scene with Dante, I noticed the demon has a bright red thing in his neck and Dante doesn't have his amulet. So perhaps he is going against the guy to get the amulet back? Something that the demons (controlled or spurned on by Arkham) are after?

I’m very excited. It’s so good to see all these amalgamations of previous characters. I’m thinking they want to lean heavily into the 3 manga/ 1 novel as inspiration and maybe drift into the events of 3. I’m sure what they are showing us are only from the first couple episodes. I’m also very excited to see Johnny portray this new young Dante.
I´m pretty sure that Johnny originally auditioned for the role of Dante in DMC4, but ended up being cast as Nero. Guess we now get to see what his take on Dante is.
I feel like Johnny Yong Bosch voicing Dante could be pretty cool, sounds pretty alright in the teaser for a Younger Dante, kinda similar to DMC3 Dante

I think that this is not only a reimagining of the dmc 3 manga,but they also gonna try stitching and canonized the first dmc novel.because if you can see that one of the obvious point that they show in this trailer is the fact that dante isn't using ebony and ivory

Ngl, I think this takes place a few months or weeks after dmc 3. It could be in the Tony Redgrave era but how would the demons know that it’s Dante if he’s known as Tony Redgrave? Granted, I could be wrong.

I think this season is mainly adaption of the DMC3 manga with season 2 being DMC3. Season 3 is a combination of the dmc1 novel and DMC1.
I could be completely wrong about this but I feel like it's going to take aspects from the Devil May Cry 1 manga the Devil May Cry 3 manga the reason I believe that is because correct me if I'm wrong we don't see Dante throughout this trailer using ebony or Ivory I'm a big point of DMC ones manga was showing how he got Ebony and Ivory and then there's also the White Rabbit from DMC 3 manga so I believe the First season will end with a build up to Virgil

I think we sometimes forget that this is a part of the other works. So, things are going to be changed up to fit in Castlevania. I believe it is called the Bootleg universe. So, expect some more wackiness since the main timeline wouldn't jell well with a combined universe.

Ich hoffe so sehr, das die Serie ein Prequel zu Devil May Cry 3 ist und kein Reboot.
Arkham und Lady würden hier kein Sinn machen, das wird in der Zeit sein, wo Dante als Tony Redgrave unterwegs ist und Er zum Devil Hunter wird.
Und im laufe der Serie bekommt Er seine beiden Waffen Ebony und Ivory, weil Er seine normalen Pistolen alle kaputt schießt.
Die Szenen mit Der Stadt haben auch für mich Devil May Cry 2 Vibes.
Ich freu mich riesig drauf und ich hoffe, das der Nero Voice Actor Dante spricht, weil Reubens Stimme zu alt für ihn ist und nicht weil die Serie ein Reboot sein soll.
Minute: 6:42 - Du meinst die Plasma. Plasma heissen die Blitzartigen Gegner, die erst aussehen wie Dante und dann zu einer Art Blitz Fledermaus werden ;-)
Was ich an den ersten Anime mochte war, das wir quasi den Alltag von Dante gesehen haben.
Das Er nicht in jeder Folge gegen einen Mundus kämpft, sondern auch kleine Aufträge hat.
Das einzige was mich störte war das Finale. Da hat mir der Endkampf nicht so gefallen und das Er ein seinen Devil Trigger nur für 1 Sekunden kurz gezeigt hat.
Ok, ich denke das war, weil dieser Gegner, dann doch nicht so stark war, das Dante seine ganze Teufelskraft braucht, aber ich hätte mir es damals gewünscht in der Serie ihn in seiner Teufelsform zu sehen.
Ich denke die Serie hier macht es ähnlich, aber mit einem größeren Aufbau eines Endgegners.
Gut, seinen Devil Trigger wird Er hier nicht haben.
Ich denke das wir in kleinen Schüben was von seiner Power sehen, aber nicht seinen ganzen Devil Trigger. Sofern das hier ein Prequel und kein Reboot ist.
Vielleicht später, wenn Staffel 2 kommt und nach DMC3 spielt.

So this may be a new DMC anime that isn't cannon to the original DMC 2007 anime. I don't know how I feel about Dante's design in this but i'll give it a chance.

Exactly how 'original' is the story though? He still has the pendant, meaning pre-DMC3...but Rebellion is opened/awakened meaning he's already faced Vergil or been stabbed by Rebellion. It's definitely a mystery for sure 🧐.

DMC needs to pack it up, they have never gotten it right when comes to novels, manga and anime. Most game to anime productions turn out terrible anyways.

They are trying to blend devil may cry and its reboot with the way he has his amulet and at 48 you can see him charge with blood red eyes which donte had in his DT i dont really care fir it but i know this is a different canon. Its meh but if its good ill at least enjoy it.
