Thank you for this video. My mother, who was born in Poland, used to make them regularly... Now I will try making them myself, because you have shown me it is not very complicated!
I love these short videos, now I have another cooking project to try! Haven't been to Prague since 1989, we were there when Vaclav Havel was named president 🙂
Super interesting😄 must have been a little different back then. Glad you're enjoying our short videos and that you've tried the recipes! How was this one?
Actualy Bohemian can be Czech or German living in Bohemia, its conected to the land. Czech or German is more conected with ethnicity, but Czechs and Germans/Austrians are so mixed in Bohemia, that pure ethnical Czech or German doesn´t exist here. 🙂
@@davidpelc My family lore is that my great grandparents emigrated to the US from what was then called Bohemia because they were escaping the Austrian Kaiser's forced induction into the military.
The First time i saw this, they reminded me of Chinese dumplings called "mantou" lol or the German equivalent called "Dampfnudeln". The German ones are normally eaten sweet. I prefer potatoe dumplings more tbh or bread dumplings Like Servietten/semmelknödel
Yeah, after a few words, I thought, "Wait a minute! That's not the Czech language, that's German!" Doesn't mean a German chef can't make Czech knedlicky, of course!

Wonderful!
Svickova and dumplings, a match made in heaven!

My aunt used to have an annual family get-together....plates of dumplings with tomato omacka.
Bohemian dumplings are the definition of soul food!
Bold statement...if Grandma was here... she'd give you a lesson! By far the best! 💯 Czech old fashion

Because he is not german.😅
Because its a bohemian dish?
@@senderxxiii2112 bohemia means czech
Hes speaking german, presumably because he is interviewed by DW, but he clearly is not a german as you can hear by his accent
it would be good if some of the German speech from one of the chefs has sub-titles.
Where can I get the recipe
You can't, its top secret
Recipe please .
Czeshia?
She was saying CH with german pronounciation, so that´s why it sound like Czeshia
