Been into Honda's for 25+ years, had every kind. I finished my itr project a cpl years ago and got the itch recently to work on another Honda. I picked up an 05 auto tsx, i just finished manual swapping it and I'm really enjoying it as a daily to go to and from work.
Theres a TH-cam channel that does it. Hes an old white guy. He J swapped his tsx too. I think I'll wait before trying manual swap. You know when theres more info and possibly a kit as these cars get rarer by the day. Til then I'm happy with my auto. I didnt get the Cl9 for "race". Wrong car. It handles like nothing I've owned even stock compared to a DB7. Essentially made sense for me to get a Tsx as I was cross shopping between a DB7 & CL9 back in 2015. Got the teggy as I needed a car, b20b swap it, sold it. Didn't get a tsx til 2019.
It’s definitely the new EK/EG but they’re hard to find manual and since it’s an Acura the insurance for a 20 year old car is crazy but overall I love the TSX
I had a 05 a handful of years ago (technically my wife did). Bagged, 18x9.75. A spec lip. Just simple. Was an excellent car. Clean and simple. Fun car. It was an auto. But still a good platform.
Im stoked that u back one the TH-cam grind watched all u civic videos. Plz build another civic 🙏🏼 I recently got me a ek civic k20 and its a blast Much love for South African 🇿🇦
I’d say yes & no. It’s such an available car but you can’t build one for what you could build a EF/EG/EK say 10 years ago. Wheels and tire setups for these cars are also a lot more expensive. To me TSXs are still “new” cars lol. I also know you can’t base prices these days off prices 10 years ago i’m simply comparing price points on common parts and upgrades.
Ive had tons of eg ek and dc2, recently picked up a 06 CL8 which is awd, the accords are just alot nicer to drive then the older hondas, cant wait to start modifying it.
Just change the knuckle to the TL. Use the TL upper arm and ball joint. The bottom ball joint just has to be TSX the center spindle is the same as the TSX you will be good thats what I did to my TSX...Brake TL 07-08 Rotors Swap bar you can use the TL and the links you can use TSX if you want to use the TL just have to make the hole a little bigger for the TL Link
Had I not chosen my DC2, I would’ve been in a TSX. Sometimes I question whether if owning a DC2 is worth the trouble of finding the parts I want due to rarity and pricing. Wouldn’t have that issue with a TSX😭 so much availability and they’re so much more comfortable
There's one good thing about parts for the golden era hondas being expensive, thus making people not want to build them. They will basically last and be around much longer this way, instead of kids still in school buying them and ruining them with cheap cars, crashing them, or selling them to ricers lol
the past year I went through a GSR swapped EJ8 sold it and got a B20v EJ8 sold that got a 06 RSX type s, sold that and got a k swapped EK. Now i just have a family car lol. not sure what the next project will be.
@@LATOMMYLA yeah I absolutely agree. I wouldn't even drive an auto.....I've vowed to never drive another automatic car.....at 42 that nay change eventually or if I drive a good paddle car but these.....got to have a clutch.
Tommy La hey bro I thought I heard you say a different time about the 6 spd. But factual and cool is that it's a authentic factory Euro thing. It's Honda over there. But where did you get your grille from tho??
Same here I put those moog on my 06 tsx and year later they were squeaking.i been using 555 and haven’t had a problem knowing that they are made in Japan
Maybe out west? About 6-7 years ago, the WRX was the new civic but I do actually think the car scene is kind of dying out because Gen Z are not really into it. Well..they are into street takeovers..so any RWD car is going to get alot more popular. The drift tax on IS300s was high already..now its going to get even worse w/ these young fools.

So the engine that comes with the autos can be swapped to manual? I have an AT Tsx and was thinking about manual swapping.

I recently found out japan had awd accords. Those are killer sleepers with boost.
Dude I know right, Japan got all the crazy models

The price to build another one the way I want, it’s just way too expensive now. All the prices for parts is jacked up
@@LATOMMYLA yeah i get that but mayb get a eg hatch or build like a budget build i think that will be dope

Mainly talking about right now, building a nice EK/EG/DC is way too expensive to build versus a TSX now. 15/16's wheels almost as much as 17's now.
@@LATOMMYLA older millenials driving up the prices.the ek/eg/dc is the midlife crisis car of the 2020s..real talk
imo, TSX is like the new EG/EK sedans and the Honda Fit the new EK/EG hatch
Yes sir it is!
Question is will it be destroyed like those cars? Better not be man! These cars are special.
It's a good touring car platform -- Brian/bvspeed and Brian from Hasport are currently building their TSXs

I didn’t even know they came awd!
nice build crazy simple and clean! keep up the content!
Appreciate it!

TSX will get to that point eventually where everything will be harder to find. But as of right now, it’s perfect

Yes exhaust video… pros/cons on single exit exhaust in your experience. Thanks.
You got it!
Sick build! Superrrr clean bro! What color is that wrap? My girl loves it and it thinking of wrapping our bagged Sienna SE
What is the headunit/kit you have? I’m lookin into switching my navi into non navi and I like the set up of yours. Thanks
what's the link for those rotors, tried searching. The green with bronze wheels is the way. Want to wrap my bb6 British racing green.

not sure what the next project will be.
Biggest problem is finding manual ones....and then the tax for it being manual.
The manual ones are the good ones 🔥

You repainted the calipers? Love that yellow. What brand paint you used ?

great colour parts combo
Moog front lower ball joints? Better keep an eye on those theyre not known to be good in these chassis.
Put 50k on my old white TSX on the moog balljoints, no issues!

can you list where you got all your parts from?
Hey man, how are you clacking out the silver trim around the windows?
Vinyl wrap!
Where did you get the seat covers?
What head unit is this, where can I get it?
does this car have vibration on acceleration?
Nope! If that’s happening, can be your wheels are unbalanced or cv axle
they been sleeping on TSXs man. the CM5 accord is exactly the same car underneath but has a shitty economy K24. the CM6 is heavier but has a J30a4/5.
OH YEAAAHHH
Ayeeeee
Only thing i dislike is the window tints, but not my car
Definitely need the tint, me personally can’t do the fishbowl look.
The tints the best part on this lol
Bro how do u get that low without rubbing?
Suspension setup, springs rates, rolled fenders and etc.
DC2
still waiting the feels exhaust to be listed for sale 🫣👀😭
Ain’t gonna be for sale haha
Where do you get those side mirrors?
