Welcome back to Explore Rigs! This one of a kind GMC 2500 HD Denali has been extensively modified and designed for long distance off-grid touring around Australia. Coming from a chopped 200 series landcruiser Greg and his family have upgraded for ultimate comfort and safety when travelling with their caravan or boat. Yes to coffee machine, microwave and induction cooktop. It makes life on the road with a family and dogs that little bit easier and do-able 👌

As an American I’ve been jealous of the cool trucks you guys get in Australia, but honestly the USA has some great pick up trucks too.

Yes to the Coffee Machine, Microwave and induction cooktops for sure. It makes travelling easier especially with kids when then makes the trips more enjoyable and relaxing. Awesome video. Keep up the great work.

on the fence with the induction cooker...... must say a bit high for us especial to use the bench to prepare foods. But as we said great rigg, good set up overall just needs to be less high.

These trucks are insanely good but with a price tag to match… Full credit to anyone that can afford to build one and live the life!. Most of us will stick to bein and Aussie battler tryin to keep the lights on 😂🤣😂
Those who keep saying that their 70 series LC's are better maybe doesn't know that these American HD trucks can last for a long time... Some of them are also running 1 million+ miles..

Definitely not for everyone and most certainly don't recommend going into debt for something like this.
That's a lot of $$$, but if you've earned it you get to say how you spend it.
And wow, I mean really wicked rig; but realistically? How many of us could afford it or afford to run it? It's just completely out of reach.

Microwave no, coffee machine, depends on what coffee style you like, I like French press, so just use by jetboil with accessory.
Induction, I think its good as an addition, unless you have the power as this build does. I will add a portable one in the future to use in situations as he mentioned. In saying that the coleman fyreknight copes with the wind very well.
Nice build, but I think everything is too high to use comfortably. But it only matters what the owner thinks.
The height is adjustable by my airbags mate so everything is very usable. 👍
@@gregthomas8542 awsome, didn't think about that, those drawers etc just looked so high but perfect if you can bring it down a bit. Certainly a very nice build!

Good video..but...Would have liked some information on weights. With the truck fully loaded how much weight can you tow and still be legal? Yes to microwave, and definitely the induction cook top. No to the coffee maker. I prefer my plunger coffee. Would be interested in some sort of electrical boiling water device.

Coffee machine, yes, but I would run a Delonghi Delicia, no pods, microwave, maybe, or a Big Bertha in it's place, induction, can't beat it.
Rules of camping, drinks are meant to be cold and food is meant to be hot. So no to coffee machine and yes to induction and microwave. 😁

Nice rig I looked up the power of the Denali 440hp and 1250Nm excellent but I also looked at the F250 475hp and 1423Nm really surprised at the extra power the F250 has standard. Still I would certainly like to own this rig.
Yest to coffee, no to microwave swap to 12 volt oven. Can defiantly see the benefit of induction. Can’t wait to see the follow up with the bull bar. I reckon it will change the whole look. Defiantly needs bigger rubber. Currently looks like a pregnant rice bubble. Questions, GVM GCM and how much can you tow any special attachments required ie pintle hooks for higher rating ?? Differences on those rating between light truck and Normal rego. Light truck rego how much on average per year.? Get out there and enjoy now. Cheers 🍻

Awesome truck. Where did you can the Rhino mid rack from? Trying to get the same for my 2022 F350 and they tell me they can't be sourced anywhere and need to go the full length - unless Rhino only do it for GMCs?
Coffee Machine NO, Go Dog & Gun Coffee. Microwave NO but can see the use if you have kids, Induction YES can cook in a fire ban. GCI Traytech YES YES YES I need me one.
I'd like to see a comparison with this and ADU's Chev and Lapping the Island's Ftruck.

@@theexplorelife yes mate, I seen that part but I mean it would be handy to have it fully bagged so you can drop it to the floor if needed. These utes look like the bomb but acces is limited because of its height.

Great rig and it's big thumbs up for the coffee machine and the induction cooktop, but on the fence with microwave, but that's only small thing.
The only thing I would think about not going as far, do you really need that 5 inch lift, just seem to much, 3 inch in this vehicle would be plenty, and if you need a little more, go the 37's it would look better and be more practical. Could you go adjustable air suspension, best of both worlds, go high when needed and low when camping.

I am also here in Oz and have the 2023 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali and the power spec is 445HP and 910 ft lbs of torque which is 1,234 nm. How did you get to 1,600 nm without modification ?
Mine doesn't yet have a full canopy build, just an electric bed cover and on highway runs not towing it only uses 14.4 lp 100km. That's the same as my D40 Navara with only a 2.5 litre diesel ! There just ain't no replacement for displacement !

Fantastic if you are in a pissing contest with ya mates. So yeah, I mean, cool for towing your van. But realistically there isn't a surface you can cook on and chop on. The draws are useless if you can't see in them and you can't get the kids to grab you something. Even just using a step would get frustrating. Cool truck, but useless for realistic camping trips, unless you like cooking at chest height

I’m on the Isuzu nps300 forum and they have had a lot of issues with the black bear tyres, I reckon it would be scary as hell having a steer tyre blow in this massive beast at100km/hr. What sort of rubber do they run in the USA?
I run BFGoodrich on my bronco. But a lot of the boys run tacos with Toyo and Yokohama tires. Then there are a thousand good budget options
