thank you, bro, I’ve been an advanced guitarist for a long time, but your video would have been very useful to me when I was just starting to play the guitar
Thanks, great to have you here and for the comment! It’s a mexican strat from 2013 (Crikey, I just realised that’s no longer ‘three years ago’ like I immediately think it is) Think it might be a 60s vintage run of them? The pick guard is kind of off green. Stay well
Don’t be sorry! I think you are hearing some syncopated rhythms like in the second bar of Smoke On The Water. Syncopated rhythms move the music ‘off the beat’ where you would normally expect it to be which is why it might sound a bit odd. But you will get used to it! Thanks for the great comment
@@SimplyGuitarLessons Thanks man for your reply! I’ve been having trouble using the metronome mainly because of that I always expect it to hit the beat in every song.
@@psychakilla A tip I was taught is to always “commit the body” to the beat, ie. tap your foot/heel with it or even just nodding your head. It’s a bit of the “rub your head and pat your stomach” thing which can be difficult to start with. I’ll have a think if I can do a video on something to help this. In the meantime good luck!
You are super welcome! Sometimes when my videos are embedded on other websites the slow down feature isn't there which is why I made sure nobody is left out ;-) Thanks for the comment and getting involved with the channel
Yet another person who plays smoke on the water wrong. First both notes are picked together and the 6 to 5 is actually a slide. Enter sandman is played wrong too, you are playing the wrong G and it doesn't ring out though the full riff. Smells like teen spirit is wrong too.
There’s no wrong way to play a song, a G note is a G note, many artists will play there own songs differently each time they play them, many live versions are different from the recorded versions. Just enjoy the music play as you like.

Guarda che il riff di Smoke and water si fa con la pennata in upstroke
Everything was going good till smoke on the water.
Iwonder why there are no Jimi Hendrix's riffs in this video.
I think he deserves his own video, don’t you?! Coming soon 👍🎸🤝
bruh

Why does it sound like your playing off beat in some of the songs ( sorry I’m new to metronome)
