Dave Matthews sells out stadiums, he sells out theatres, he sells out fields...
but he NEVER sells himself out for anything. Aside from the tremendous passion that he puts into his songs and is felt by his audiences, he remains true to himself and his style of music. As well as being an incredibly talented singer and musician, Dave Matthews is an astounding human being.

I had this lyric as the moving text on my pc back in 2007... my daughter who was 15 at the time read it and said “what is that”? She was intrigued....Proudly I said “a lyric from one of DMBs songs” (now this is the same teenager that was SO OVER hearing the intro to DoDo) LOL
Anyway I played her the whole song and many more, we watched Listener Supported and now 13 years later she’s been to about 6 shows with me. God I love it when we can turn our kids on to our music! ❤️Thanks DMB for helping me create great memories with my girl

The drums, sax, strings, bass, guitar and lyrics. All of those parts are individually beautiful, but together they create such a powerful and emotional song. Makes me genuinely happy to see the emotion and groove from these guys. Especially that smile on Carter’s face

One thing I could not live without in my life is Dave Matthews Band! One of the best bands that ever graced music!
This guy puts out all of their records on his own label, and uses the major label as his distributor. He also sells all his own merchandise. As big as they’ve become, everything is still run like a small business. These guys have got so much Money it’s unreal. They had built up such a following independently, that they had a great deal of leverage when negotiating their situation. What they’ve built for themselves is just incredible.

Not sure I can think of another band whose songs cause me to get chills simply because of the drummer. Obviously he is up there with some of the greatest drummers to ever walk this earth. Carter Beauford for those that are not in the know. He makes the Dave Matthews Band what it is.

The Thing I love about the Dave Matthews Band is that they can make such an emotional song like this, and then turn around and make "So much to Say," and then go and make "Crash into Me," while all remaining purely Dave. That is truly awesome

Growing up inner city nyc I was only exposed to rap, hip hop, r and b and pop music. When I went away to college and my group of friends expanded I was introduced to more music, DMB was one of the first and I still remember it was the first concert I ever attended. Always brings back fond memories of college.
At first glance I thought the drummer was world renowned drummer, the late Alphonse Mouzon (with dreads). The bands drummer Carter Beauford , doesn't only look like Alphonse in this video he plays every bit as good. A friend of mine turned me on to Dave Matthews Band back in the late 80's and I continued listening to them into the 90's. I was struck by not only their original music, but by their unique sound. The bands choice of instruments gives the music the right blend. Dave Matthews Band is truly one of a kind...

Since my brother brought home Queens 1st album in '73(I was 10) i've been immersed in fine rock music. But I've never heard anything quite like this song.The drumming electrifies you, the lyrics are as good as any i've ever heard,sheer poetry,and the music itself runs you right over. Un..believable.

Looks like this was shot at the Gorge Amphitheater in Quincy WA. I love seeing the Columbia River gorge behind that set. Makes me feel like I'm at home. One of the best places to have a concert. Awesome Video and my most favorite Dave Matthews songs.
