I've always thought that applied to people as well. There are people who are a part of our lives for a season, but they may not be meant to be a part for all time. The best example I can give is I fell in love with a young lady once and before I started seeing her her mother and I were friends. In fact, the young lady, her younger sister and her mother all saved my life when they helped keep me from killing myself when I was in an extremely dark place mentally. Then things fell apart and while I would have loved to have maintained my friendship with her mother and her sister, it just wasn't feasible. I tried, but when she met her future boyfriend (now husband) it just straight up drove me nuts and I had to tell them goodbye and not go back and see them anymore. There are days I still think of them and wonder how they are, but I figure they're better off without me around and just go on about my business. That's my story anyways, sorry if I rambled a bit.
