Stevie - apples, Toots - oranges. They are both amazing in their approach. People stop saying one is better than the other. They are both amazing players in their own right .
Burt Bacharach is sitting there looking at Stevie like "Oh my God this guy's incredible, I think I like his version better than my own." No seriously, thank God for these two brillant composers and artist who graciously shared their talents for all the world to enjoy. Truly amazing!!
Thank you Stevie. If and when the world hears of our loss of Stevie Wonder someday, just maybe there might be a world-wide peace treaty just for a few minutes or so. Just for a few minutes or so for the man who has brought so much joy to the world. Dean Seattle
I saw Stevie Wonder 2 days ago and I can't stop talking about it! I want to shout this from the highest mountain all day long!!! I LOVE STEVIE WONDER!!!!
It's so rare when a video showcases not only one talent, but two, and those two being in full bloom. It's a tribute to an amazing melody and its amazing interpreter.
So fantastico, i did not realize Stevie met Burt, am sorry Burt has Left us. Stevie done a wonderful performance in front of President Obama Burt an Hal Davids award.!!!!!

That is just amazing. He may or may not be the greatest singer ever, but I can't think of anyone who plays the harmonica with more emotion than he does. It's beautiful.
out of everything stevie plays i found this the most beautiful instrument he has ever played it's quite relaxing just so calming after listening to it for so many days.
I'm a big fan of Soul music, but many Burt Bacharach compositions have always chilled me to the bone (in a good way!), particularly the early collaborations with Dionne Warwick - and "Any Day Now" by Chuck Jackson.

i play Diatonic Harmonica, but i got say Stevie Wonder"s tone on the Chromatic is sensational, you can"t teach it, its a feeling you have or you don"t, i suppose it"s what you Yanks call soul... Brilliant!
Stevie and Toots Thielemans are just the most wonderful harmonica players. None come near them for the emotion conveyed by their beautiful playing. Check Toots playing the John Barry theme for Midnight Cowboy. These pepole are geniuses!

you might not know that Burt specifically chose Dionne to record for him (and Hal David). She recorded SO many of their songs for years until they had a falling out and parted ways, but she later returned and recorded more. He found her voice to be the perfect one for his lyrics and David's music.
Stunning live performance. Originally released on an LP in 1968 under the pseudonym of Eivets Rednow - work it out yourself - to showcase Stevie's virtuoso instrumental talents.
