  • This is on the reconstructed threshing floor with a Biblical re-enactment. We are at the reconstructed Nazareth Village in Nazareth, Israel. Here they found the winepress that dates back to the 1st Century. Since we know that Yahshua (Jesus) grew up in Nazareth, it's safe to say this is the area where he & his family lived! www.truthinspirit.org

This is so important to understanding the Bible. The allegories and metaphors use terms like "chaff", "reap", etc. and people today don't know what those terms mean.

This is great! Thank you for helping us understand. When we can understand the text then we can “glean” the deeper meanings.
I am studying Ruth and wanted to know the difference between threshing and winnowing. I then wondered how they would do this in ancient times and ended up here. Very cool.

You’re talking about Matthew with the Sabbath part. I remember reading that, but I came across this video because I was reading Matthew chapter 3, and I got confused when John started talking to the Pharisees about God winnowing and gathering His wheat, but it’s symbolism about God gathering His children that produce fruit and live a life in righteousness.
In other words, you must repent to produce good fruit for God; and for those who have repented; he will gather us like wheat in a barn. But the chaff (or unrighteous people) will be burned.
    (Refers to Matthew 3: 7-12)
Thanks again for your video. It helped me to make sense of what was stated.

Dreamt about a priest showing me a written page, there were two sentences shown to me, both with underline and bold letters in each one, first sentence read something as.. "The Jews prayed to God to have the laws eased on them." And the second sentence followed with. "God answered and gave them His Son Jesus." I'm sure you can guess which lines were underlined and were in bold here.

@@blackmoneynewmoney We actually facilitate a Hebrew Roots Transition Training that addresses this. Here is the information about the Sabbath that is on that handout. Let me know if you're interested in that full training. You can email me at info@truthinspirit.org What is not on this handout is the Biblical definition of a "day," which is found in Genesis chapter 1. Each day began with evening, then there was morning (the 1st, 2nd, 3rd day, etc). This why Shabbat is Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
      Feast: The Sabbath
Biblically Accurate or Hebrew Name: Shabbat (pronounced shah-BOT)
Biblical Significance: In Genesis 2:2-3, ADONAI (the LORD) rested from all of His work on the seventh day, blessed it and made it holy. In the fourth commandment (of the 10 commandments), ADONAI commands us to “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God.” (Exodus 20:8-10b)
Spiritual Relevance: As the children of God, we are always working to advance His Kingdom. However, a time is coming when we will enjoy a Sabbath rest for eternity (see Hebrews 4:4 & 4:9-11). The Sabbath is on the 7th day because it is the end of all things. We work first, then find our rest in Him, just as He worked to create a magnificent world to give to us, then rested. Resting on the Sabbath also helps us to keep Him as a priority in lives, setting aside the time He ordained for intimacy and worship. We may worship Him every day of the week, at any hour, but we should still honor the day He set apart and declared holy.
Observance Suggestion: Abstaining from regular work and a sacred assembly are required in Lev. 23: 3, so both corporate and individual worship are suggested, as well as family devotions and activities that honor the Father and feed our spirits. However, be sure to abstain from work (on a job or housework/chores).
Notes: The Sabbath is a great day to teach your children about the LORD. This does not have to be somber, as the children of Israel were told to incorporate education about God’s ways into every aspect of their lives and every interaction with their children (see Deuteronomy 6:5-9). Play games with your children that reveal the truth about God. Fellowship and enjoy this day of rest and worship.
