Since these devices are meant to run 24/7 365 days I assume most people, like myself, will be running them on the low setting if an Auto function is not available. I think it would be a great addition to your testing to see how quickly/effectively these devices can clean the air in a room at their lowest settings. I have a hunch a device that performs amazing at high fan speeds might perform terribly at low fan speeds.
If an air purifier can clean a room on high speed, but can't keep it clean on a low speed, it means there is a pollution source in the room. Air purifiers can only be effective if air pollution sources are removed, or at least reduced as much as possible. Once the pollution is reduced using the higher speeds, the low speeds are plenty sufficient to keep rooms clean, only if no additional pollution is being added at a greater rate than the purifier can eliminate.
I'm looking for one SPECIFICALLY for 3d printing. My room for my printer is about 300 ft squared. My understanding is 3d filament printers emit VOC AND UFP below .1 micron. What would be your suggestion?
That's a great idea to implement. It would involve much more work but will definitely raise the quality of the videos to another level. Besides the smoke and noise tests, we can also include tests of power and particle removal in the videos. Thanks for the suggestion.
Shark is producing some amazing air purifiers. I tested the Shark HP102 a few months ago, and all I can say is that it's an amazing air purifier. The only problem with Shark air purifiers is the high cost of replacement filters. Other than that, I didn't notice any other disadvantages.
The Membrane Solutions MSA3 is an okay air purifier. It showed good results in performance tests and is generally quiet, but the build quality is extremely low, and it's not affordable to maintain.
Actually, the Levoit Core 300S is a fantastic air purifier, but the Levoit Vital 100S replaced it as a slightly better buying option. Why? It has a much better filter, neutralizes odors more effectively, and is quieter. I compared these two on the Air Purifier First website. You can read the article on the website or wait a few weeks until I publish the video comparison.
@@AirPurifierFirst Love your straightforward information. Respect to you and your team. I'll wait for the video even though I just ordered my core 300s huhu
The Xiaomi Pro seems to be an amazing air purifier. However, I haven't tested it yet, so it's hard to compare it to the two models you mentioned. I will do my best to buy it and then compare it to some top-performing air purifiers like these two.
That's a great idea! In the coming year, I plan to focus more on buying guides and that type of content than I did in previous years, so I will definitely add a tier list video to my to-do list. Thanks!
I still haven't tested the Levoit Core P350, which is why I haven't yet published a comparison with the Xiaomi 4 Compact. However, I have compared the Levoit Core 300S and the Xiaomi 4 Compact, and I believe that even based on this comparison, you can deduce whether the Levoit or the Xiaomi is the better choice. th-cam.com/video/Loq0OlYW-Zg/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I have 4 cats and have problem about the smell of cat litter. Can you suggest which air purifier is best at get rid of all the smell. ( most air purifier is ok for the hair and the dust but the smell...😭)
I can suggest closed cat litter boxes and high quality cat litter. It can make a massive difference. Doesn't have to most expensive but cheap ones usually are useless, and most smelly. Another fact is you may think you are saving with cheap cat litter but in long run you paying more as you have to replace it more often ect
Which one from Xiaomi’s fourth series? I have already tested the Xiaomi 4 Compact, which you can find on the channel or the Air Purifier Forst website.
What the heck...why do so many "testers" only test down to PM2.5? Should be testing down to PM1. Some bacteria, viruses, and mold spores can be smaller than 1 micron. So testing down to at least PM1 is an important metric to know for how well the filtration actually performs on individual models. Especially depending on your filtration needs or concerns.
Why don't you test shark never change max, it's my life's burning question to choose between a never change purifier vs levoit because of the extra cost of filters, I want something effective to remove pet odour, PLEASE HELP
The Winnix 5500-2 could help with pet odors. If it's confined to a small space, the Levoit Core 300 might fit your needs. I'm highly considering it for the closet where I keep my cats' litter boxes.
I still haven't tested it. It seems like a great option, but I can't say more before actually testing it. The only Dyson air purifier I have tested is the Pure Cool TP02, which is an okay air purifier but didn't show anything revolutionary compared to some other cheaper air purifiers. Actually, I compared it to the Levoit Vital 200S, which outperformed it in almost all tests. Watch the comparison in the link below: th-cam.com/video/cYqc8Ve0TsA/w-d-xo.html

So where can I see the video of you guys testing them?

can we get a list of the other 70?
What do you think about the shark he601 vs hp301

How do these compare to the Membrane Solutions MSA3 Air Purifier ?
The Membrane Solutions MSA3 is an okay air purifier. It showed good results in performance tests and is generally quiet, but the build quality is extremely low, and it's not affordable to maintain.
Any test results for good aftermarket IQAir carbon filters? Genuine is too expensive for what it is! Thanks! 😅
Hi, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I haven't tested the IQAir yet.
Surprising that the Levoit 300s is not on this list. Can you tell me what it can improve to be qualified on this list?

Still no Levoit Everest Air?

You want a purifier that you need to change the filters every year. Not one that you never need to replace
How about the levoit everest?
I haven't tried it yet, but I will do my best to buy and test it next year.
Why wasn't the iqair health pro plus on here? It's the most advanced but also you pay for the performance.
I haven't done in-depth testing of the IQAir HealthPro Plus yet, but I plan to do so in the coming months.

The the Dyson BP04 but it’s pricey
The CADR is very small. I've seen some measurements as low as 94 which is ridiculous.
Brother stay away from Dyson if you want a good air purifier lmao

Ok
Did you expect a different result? Which air purifier would you add to the list?
