It was so lovely to meet you both. Hope your brush worked on the windscreen before you left 😉🚐👍🏼 We’re safely back, done nothing but rained !! Hopefully catch you at another event in the future. Take care Michelle and Andy 😃😃
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Thankyou for sharing your time, was really great meeting you both. Got home as the rain started. Be great to meet again. God Bless you both
Definitely worth the money , we have never regretted it . Our van is booked back in next month for a bit of TLC, but the coating has made the washing off easier , especially on the road. Looks like a good job guys. H ad M
I actually looked at your van when we saw you last week as you returned from your travels and wondered if you had the coating! Good to know it works even after a few thousand miles on a trip😀 cheers…Andy&Michelle
It’s a year since Smirf was coated and we are still happy with the results. A lot of money but so much easier to clean and gives such good results every time. We think it’s worth it too 😃👍🏻 Trev
Saw your van at the Suffolk Poshcats rally and thought it looked good - now I know why🙂. We had the Ceramic by Diamondbrite applied to our van Rex and since picking him up in November we have only properly washed the van once. I think paint protection products are worth it👍🏽. ATB Ruth
Hi Ruth, it was a good weekend wasn't it 😀 we had driven through rain before arriving at the rally and we were still clean, definitely worth it if you want a shiny van ✨Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Well we took our new Motorhome to PaintSeal Direct in Nottingham and had fun at Central Lotus and Mark was the same person that did our Moho Vlog due out soon. 3 weeks in Nederland’s got home washed Moho and 1 hour later all done, as you said is it worth the money???? Yes it is!! Dead bug just wash straight off, do it it makes your time yours
Yes it was great seeing all the great cars in the Lotus garage, great to have the time back in my life too! 😀 Will look out for your vlog on it too, cheers...Andy&Michelle
Just brought the latest Carthago le145 at the nec, pickup towards end of November, would you say worth doing, does it just help keep it clean, or does it also give part protection against chips from stones etc ❤ your vids and journeys
Hi Edward, congrats on your purchase😀 and great to hear you are enjoying our videos. The PaintSeal doesn't protect against chips from stones but what it does do is remove the need to polish and it makes it much easier to wash, things like dead flies come off a lot easier. It saves a lot of time and effort in keeping your MH looking in great condition. When we eventually change our MH we will definitely get it done again. One final thing to say is there are different companies who do this to different levels of effectiveness, if you are considering it then its worth giving Paintseal a call, they explain it all much better than I can! Cheers..Andy
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures thanks for prompt reply, will give them a call, only knew of pp protect that roaming radfords used, perhaps will bump into on our travels all best to you both
Thanks Christoph and Elisabeth, the Gen-3 Coating can only be applied by Paintseal so they can maintain the high standard of application, looks like you might need to take a UK trip with your new Carthago😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures The UK in general and Scotland are definitely on the list. Had a great time in the Highlands last year with the normal car. Regarding the product there will be sth comparable in Germany.
Hi Claire, yes still very pleased with it 18 months later. We've still not had to polish the Motorhome since having it done (not supposed to polish it after Painseal anyway) so it saves a lot of time. To be honest we've forgotten what it was like before now. From our recent 6 week trip to Spain where the flies and dirt was baked on only the most stubborn flies on the front top of the cab remained after washing and Painseal give you a special cleaner for that. Cheers..Andy
We had our motorhome exterior and the upholstery protected by paintseal from new. I consider it worth the outlay, approx cost was £600 but it cleans up lovely!
A bit of a personal question I know, but are you able / willing to say what your standing costs are each year e.g. for storage, insurance, club memberships, MOT / habitation checks and anything else I have forgotten from my brief time as a motorhomer?
Hi Mr McDancy 😀 our storage is just under £500 per year (outside) , insurance about the same, club memberships CAMC and CCC about £100, engine, habitation service and 10 yr damp warranty £800. There's always something to be spending on to be honest! Not a cheap pastime but a very enjoyable one! cheers...Andy&Michelle
Hi Stephen, good to hear you are still going strong with yours 👍 I can’t recommend an engine coolant sorry, I just take ours to the garage and let them sort all that out, cheers…Andy&Michelle
Hi Andy me and the wife are currently on lanzarote and it got me thinking have ever give any thought to leaving the bottom of Spain on your travels in the future and getting a ferry down the canaries and going there with Katie.Simon from Anglesey
Hi Simon, a Spain tour is definitely in our plans, hadn't thought about taking Katie to the Canaries though, another venture for the list! Have a great time in Lanzarote😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Hi James, I don't believe they did the windows but will find out. The windows were in pretty good shape, just some very light scratches from washing, we do have some polish to remove these but it hasn't got bad enough yet to warrant doing it, cheers...Andy&Michelle
I just user a paint sealant from when I buy new that does the same thing. The cost isn't worth it for me and the shine isn't the coating its the polishing they did beforehand. Good quality car soap and micro fibre towel dry. Ceramic coating won't stop stone chips either.
Hi, we've only had it on a couple of months but it is guaranteed for 5 years so I think the difference is on the reapplication, I understand paint sealant needs to be reapplied every 3 - 6 months whereas we should be ok with a quick wash and micro fibre off. I'll have to report back in a year but I am confident from what I've heard from other people who have had it done that it does last. Cheers...Andy
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures What does the guarantee say though ? My Meguirars sealant Hybrid sealant wax costs £25 and the bottle will last at least a year applying it after washing.

We’ve just had Herdy done too. Isn’t it amazing how they look! Herdy is so shiny and when it rains the water really stands off her. So worth it 😊
Honestly I can't stop smiling when I look at Katie and think it's so easy to maintain the look now😀✨ Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Great to see a long term video and that’s amazing how well the dead bugs come off! 👍🏻

You go to all that expense and care and then you might as well have used a rake than use that pole brush to wash it.
The pole brush is a professional coach brush, very soft bristles, the ceramic coating is also very hard, you would need a machine to get it off
It.
Informative, but I stopped watching when you said it costs £1K!😄
Good job I didn’t mention the cost right at the beginning then! 🤣 cheers…Andy&Michelle
you need to spend more time enjoying the motorhome than cleaning it
Too right Allen 😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
