Oh man…the stories the SCP writers come up with give me hope for the future of storytelling! Been feeling like creativity in the west has been dying lately because of Hollywood just rehashing stuff, and underlining agendas that either distract from or ruin stories. But then I listen to the Volgun or Exploring Series read an SCP article and it gives me hope that good old creative original stories still exist!
Well, if you listen to any mainstream media source anywhere then that's going to be your take, since their goal is to appeal to the largest audience. That's... kind of the point of Hollywood and all, so you should never ever be basing your hopes on anything like that. Literature has been thriving all this time in actual writing communities and places that cater to such dynamics, like Creators that use Patreon or Subreddits/Discords/Forums. TLDR: Creativity in the west is great and has always been great, it just seems like you expect it from places that aren't designed for it. Hollywood is the worst place to be looking for that in. Stick to Patreon, Reddit and writing forums/discords.

This is the kinda story I've been wanting to hear for a while. As someone who's obsessed with fantasy, the idea of narrative being the driving force of magic is amazing. I'm not sure how many walls were broken during this story, but every brick that fell built the path of the warrior.
You should check out Sir Terry Pratchett then, if you haven't already. The Discworld runs on narrativium (stories, tropes, and memes basically). It's all very tongue in cheek but so subtly brilliant and observant of our real world. One of my all time favorite book series.

Yes! I have been waiting this video from you! I have heard a lot of good things about Inevitable but sincerely the length of the article was kinda intimidating. So I appreciate this, thank you.

Gotta say thanks for these videos. I have insomnia and struggle to fall asleep normally but these videos knock me out. I’ve watched every single scp video at least 3-4 times + to actually catch it all before I fall asleep.
I understand why some might enjoy this SCP as it broadly follows the steps of a fantasy narrative. That said, I don't like it myself. It is like someone asked, "how can we make a typical hero's journey story using nothing but SCPs?" Yeah, it is a lot of effort, but it is completely unoriginal. It is recycled takes on other, better SCPs, thrown together for no other purpose than to be as "meta" as possible.
I haven't seen much of the vid yet, but how wild would it be if consciousness or the soul ends up an anomaly, and this entity doesn't just have a useful effect, but is also turning us all slowly into soulless p-zombies.
I've seen essentially this exact comment on every other 6000 competition entry I've watched so far. In different ways, all of them are great, though different folk prefer different styles of writing, length, and content, so the favourite of one will be disliked by another. I love that all these varying visions are accessible to us still.

7:48 As a member of the serpent's hand, the rest of this speech nearly exactly displays my views on the foundation and the GoC. I respect that they are helping to stop 6500, but they could stand to be a little less hypocritical about it. I point to the time they sealed a dragon away untill it lost almost all its power and killed it for trying to fly for the first time in over 100 years, and potentially the last time it could have been able to take off had it lived. We see you jailors as those that would seal away and depower anything you don't understand, that would kill or make non-anomalous the source of all magic if you could find it, just so you wouldn't have to "contain thaumaturgic scp's".
The dragon didn't loose it's power, it just couldn't deal with the advance ment of science. In its time the sun and stars were these mystical powers, now we know their flaming balls of gas and it couldn't cope with the loss of wonder.
@@atomicash2475 tell that to its diminishing size, horde, and knowledge. heck, even its firebreath went from arcane to biological. Dragons get BIGGER with age, not smaller.
The total number of SCPs is about four thousand; the numbering isn't entirely consistent, because they do big contests at the 1000-marks and then start adding ahead of that. By the sheer power of "I'm the damn protag here", Okori's tragic "sacrifice to hold off the villain so protag can escape" gets flipped on its head and not only likely ensures Okori surviving, but that thry get rescued later.
Or at least I hope so, given that this SCP is so much more positive than many others.

Oh I think I get it! It’s derived from the fear of the author that the SCP Foundation might be dying off. I’m guessing the four other are based on four classic forms of tales within the SCP Foundation
Isn't releasing anomalies render the Foundation obsolete as well? There's nothing to contain. Seems more like to me that those anomalous selfish O5s don't want to die.
How this hasn't been made into a TV series is beyond me.
Cus scp is not copyrightable whatever company that wants to make this a series must accept people copying their shit, also look on the bright side, scp not being mainstream means less bs due to people coming here to try and squeeze us for money
@@drep6268 While you're not wrong, we know that Hollywood is willing to make endless movies about public domain characters like Hercules, Robin Hood, or Sherlock Holmes. @@EnvisionerWill The SCP wiki is under the Creative Commons 3.0 License which is different than the Public Domain.
@@barnes9211 this applies to pretty much all art
@@barnes9211 You misunderstand, he's moreso saying that comparatively the creative output of the US is declining when compared to the largest competitors. In terms of writing like you said maybe we are doing fine. But in terms of comics, animation and movies There has been a decline in quality (obv an opinion but it's a very common one)
And in terms of movies with a decline of new sources of written or comic stories they naturally suffer
Mainstream appealing to the most people is untrue. As rotten tomatoes should have let you know some movies are made for no reason as very very few people like them.
In terms of comics we are losing ground to manga, manhwa and Chinese comics. In terms of animation again
Good writers are like flowers in desert.
Society just has to decide to water them with support and they'll thrive.
Oh shut up. So because you don't like the movies that come out of Hollywood these days, now suddenly storytelling in the west is dying? Grow up and get off of TH-cam for a while.

Well I think they broke all of them, considering they ended up yeeting an anomaly of some sort directly at the author to reboot the story 🤣
6 walls
this just sounds like any class based mmorpg with SCP sprinkled in. Somebody finally went for the low hanging fruit. Its interesting, but still, feels that way.

I have been waiting this video from you!
I have heard a lot of good things about Inevitable but sincerely the length of the article was kinda intimidating.
So I appreciate this, thank you.
There's a very strong sense of Dungeons and Dragons in this one.
I thought I was the only one who had that feeling! The whole thing with the path of the Warrior, Mage, Cleric, and Thief gave off huge D&D vibes!
A big reason I don’t care much for SCP anymore. Started to feel too much like that.
I listen to this stuff on spotify on my way to work. I absolutely love the long episodes.

Oh right on its finally THAT time yet AGAIN I look forward to Sunday night 😎 and my GAWD does this one look pretty badass !!!
6500 in all of its parts is my favorite scp and the exploring series has done a fantastic job.
This is a truly awesome take that has potential to contend with long adventure and lore like ouroboros cycle, Wrath and Audapaupadopolis. Can't wait for the other 3 parts/paths, and possibly an all-parts/paths video.
Gotta say thanks for these videos. I have insomnia and struggle to fall asleep normally but these videos knock me out. I’ve watched every single scp video at least 3-4 times + to actually catch it all before I fall asleep.
My happiness spikes when I see "Part One"
I'm glad you'll still be covering the other paths. I love listening to your videos.
Every story is a rip-off of something else
Uhm.. Canon?
Spiders exploding like jelly doughnuts, best thing to hear before lunch. Kudos.
That was fun. Best one in a while. Can't wait for the next one.
I haven't seen much of the vid yet, but how wild would it be if consciousness or the soul ends up an anomaly, and this entity doesn't just have a useful effect, but is also turning us all slowly into soulless p-zombies.
Man SCP-6000 is good but I have no idea how this didn't win the 6000 competition
It’s very long, which seems likely to have hurt us in the competition... but we’re very happy with the strong support the article has received
I've seen essentially this exact comment on every other 6000 competition entry I've watched so far. In different ways, all of them are great, though different folk prefer different styles of writing, length, and content, so the favourite of one will be disliked by another. I love that all these varying visions are accessible to us still.
Love this channel. When I go on long road hauls or spend some time cleaning the house I always just Bluetooth this channel and let the imagination wander . Keep up the good entertainment man 👍

Anyone else Sleep to this man's videos and get super excited when you see hour long ones, so that you can space them out between a couple of nights
I entirely agree. The Foundation is, well... I couldn't put it better than you did.
When it says part 1 and is still almost an hour long you know it's gonna be a good one
My god...The last time I watched the wiki there were barely 4000-ish SCPs now you're telling me there are over 6000?!
The total number of SCPs is about four thousand; the numbering isn't entirely consistent, because they do big contests at the 1000-marks and then start adding ahead of that. For instance they have a 6999 already but there currently isn't a 6986; they'll have to fill in all the skipped numbers before they open up submissions for an SCP-7000 contest.
I was so scared of that 7 hour video lol, but after Hanged king, sarksis & all my favorite references and reads.

-So we could have completely normal world with no murderous nonsensical anomalies and save countless lives and we are not doing it because?...
-Dunno, just some vague "philosophy" from r/im14andthisisdeep
Because they where contain anomalies on mass
Because it was already done 6500 already terminated 6500 anomalies and nerfed countless more. Anomalies are still dangerous, but living with them is now a possibility and the only possibility that isn't genocide. The world threatening stuff is gone, some stuff that was difficult to contain or impossible to destroy became easy to neutralize or contain or been terminated by 6500, etc. That's the plot of 6500 and no return timeline - continuing the foundation as it was would just be unnecessary cruelty/genocide.
