So as you mentioned, blood flame blade is CRAZY good, and the scythe is actually, in my opinion, one of the best ways of applying it. Funny enough a scythe incantation build was my second play through. Winged scythe is good for pvp and npc battles since the ash of war prevents healing with good damage and the delay attack tends to get people dodging early, but not against many bosses. I finished the game dual wielding scythes, one with blood infusion for the extra blood loss and the other with frost infusion. Completely melted most bosses once I got set up but before that was quite the struggle
I can't speak about pvp, but one blood and open frost absolutely would melt anything that can be afflicted by those, and I wish I had done that here but I didn't want to stray too far from single scythe haha
Lad, you dont mess up Alex’ questline by killing the fire giant you can only mess it up by never killing radahn or killing him early (at radahn) You can even skip freeing him and just do radahn and he will always be at the festival, then by the lava wyrm next time and then you CAN summon him for fire giant but you don’t need to and he will appear in farum azula anyway
I always skip freeing him, in fact I don't think I've ever done either parts of his quest for being stuck in the ground lmao But anyway, so this comment was actually referring to me doing my consumables only run, which happened REALLY early in the games life cycle. Like. The first, or one of the first, major patches. I went to every place he could be and he was just gone. Ever since then I didn't trust that he wouldn't just despawn
16:10 It applies a 40% boost to the last hit of your R1/L1 attack chain. With scythes I beleave you get a 4 hit R1 chain and 3 hit L1 if you dual wield them, that means if you manage to land 3 L1s while standing still the last one will deal 40% more damage.
@@DoomWolfOfficial Yeah, some say it's completely useless but if you have consecutive attack boosting staff that will also proc by then which lets you deal some massive damage with that last hit. Most weapons also let you start the attack chain with a running, rolling or jumping R1/L1 which makes things a bit easier.
@@lharsay I think it only used to be 20-25% which is a lot more useless than the 40% they recently buffed it to, to be fair. I still think it's pretty garbage and quite misleading that it's called Twinbalde Talisman and sucks on twinblades.
6:53, iirc the Raptor’s set is lore-wise armour used by a group of assassins attempting to imitate the Deathbirds in one way or another so…I’d say attacking from the air and stuff is boosted because that’s like, the fighting style the armour is designed for and what not.
YESSSS new doom video dropped to help entertain me while I can't play video games myself also, absolutely valid to not keep trying to do it deathless, and honestly props to you for making it as far as you did before tapping out
6:58 i could be wrong, but the raptors black feathers is worn by assasins who fight in the style & presentation of birds, particularly the death birds. There's talon claws and a talisman boosting jump attacks you can get in stormveil castle.
Not sure if you'll see this considering the five months times, but the reason why the armor upgrades jump damage is because of the enemy that uses it, and their lore. The lore is that the enemy has to claws like a bird and they manly use tactics a Raven would (getting the jump on the enemy/prey by jumping down and attacking them or mainly using jump attacks)
so what you're saying is if I tape knives to my feet and jump, it does more damage than if I just jump without them! ..which...actually I mean, kinda would, defeating the joke in my response lol but seriously, thanks for answering the question :)
I'm not sure if anyone else brought it up, but the fire giant's bleed build up doesn't carry over to the second phase. Most 2 phase bosses with a cutscene transition are actually 2 separate bosses. Status build-up/resistances don't get carried over, only stance damage does. Malenia and Godrick are exceptions to this. They are the same entity but altered for the second phase, so their status build-up/resistances do get carried over. You can see this in randomizer runs, where the Beast Clergyman and Maliketh may be in two totally different arenas, but both phases of Malenia and Godrick are treated as 1 boss fight. (Also, you should totally try a randomizer run.)
That's a good point, I knew they were separate models and such, but I honestly wouldn't have thought about that until now haha so what you're saying...my death was in vein :P
Also, i believe you CAN put Bleed on a scythe with Black Flame Tornado. You just need the Black Whetblade from Nokron. Its the one that allows you to put Bleed, Poison, and Occult infusions on most Ashes of War Edit: I'm way wrong and also bad at paying attention
If nothing else, the outfit looked really cool! Methinks the only other option would be to use hax for itemization after the first/second deathless run ends-up not being as deathless as the brochure said. Altho I think in your case, the itemization being the main theme of the challenge, you made the correct decision to scrap the deathless part and hand-gather stuff. Fun's hard enough to have already, no need to make it harder. ^^
There are a few reasons why Raptor's black feathers chest piece has jump damage boost. When you help Yura at the academy, he is invaded by Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin. He wears this chest piece and has raptor talons weapon (looks like bird claws) with raptor of the mists ash of war which you get from him. The ash of war does a ducking stance followed by a jump which you can follow up with a jump attack. There isn't much information about Ravenmount or these assassins but judging from item descriptions (armor set, weapon, ash of war, claw talisman) that invader is a part of a cult or a guild called Ravenmount. They are assassin's by trade who are trying to become death birds but can only imitate their looks by making their outfits with feathers of birds of prey (probably referring to deathbirds). I am pretty sure the reason why you deal extra jump damage is because the death birds or any bird in this game do damage with their claws and wearing this armor kinda symbolizes that.
Not sure anyone said this but you can still complete Alexander's quest after FG at least you could on some patch. Don't remember when but i am sure I did it.
I bet it's the other way around, my memory was from one of (or the) earliest patch of the game, during my consumables only run. Now it seems his quest is completable, but back then then jsut disappeared on me haha
I dont play elden ring but i enjoy your vids. So good news i never knowif the equipment you choose is good or not. I just sit back and enjoy your humor
duel bone scythe was my 1st real build after my 1st sorta run/exploring play and it was because of a video that someone made that was to play like a necromancer and found that the weapons were really good granted this was the start of elden ring and not sure if it is fixed now but i noticed they would double hit enemies sometimes with their jumping duel hit move and made some bosses very easy to beat i think i beat fire giant in like 5-6 jump moves with buffs and enchanted ice or blood on them depending on the fight or quick step if need be
Just saying, you needed the Haligtree Medal- Oh wait, it's been said once or twice already On an unrelated note, I'm almost positive you can do Alexander's questline by talking to him after Radahn, then the volcano, then Farum, no matter what the state of the world is. I recall one distinct time I got the shard after beating the whole game, just before Malenia.
Technically in the beginning of the game if you let the boss beat you it doesn’t actually kill you. it leaves you at 1 health and your teleported to that underground area. Great run all the same!
After watching Gino's video on Scythes, I am convinced spinning weapon or the ashe of war where you spin it in front of you, should have been the default ashe from the start. It fits like a glove and is so busted.
So interesting note about the scion in the beginning, he will leave you at 1 hp. And you don’t get the you have died message. So loosing to him is actually the way most people start deathless runs.
so I think so far you are the _only_ person to say "...the way most people start deathless", everyone else just says the first part to which my response is the same "letting him beat me mostly to death doesn't feel like its in the spirit of deathless" lol
I'm to this day still slightly annoyed that we don't get the weird pickaxe/ scythe thing the meteorite scavenger's use. It could have been an int scythe, give it the AoW of the boulder throw those enemies use. Maybe even give the charged heavy some splash damage like the Ruins greatsword. Scythes and great spears really do feel underdeveloped in ER Edit: the raptor chestpiece boosts jump attack damage because it pairs with Raptors of the Mist, raptor's claws, and the claw talisman. Elden Ring associates the jump attacks with birds of prey.
you could have done the same rule as pewdiepie did for his deathless run which is dying to the scion because you are actually left on 1 hp meaning you never died
Why's it always "can I beat insert game as or with?" yes of course you can beat it you made the bloody video! Anyway cool video nice work Doom love you goodnight.
In the case of 1st Loretta, I think I'd say it wouldn't count as hitless. You technically did beat her without being hit, but the carian swords are still an attack from her. Still pretty impressive though, better than I can do 😅 Loved the video, keep up the great work! ❤
Watching this again, I didn't even realize you used the shackle on Mohg until now. OH MY GOD, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. I SHOULD HAVE, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT OF IT.
An alternate version of a Deathless run is to have a single actual respawn point. Fast Travel optional. If die in the middle of the boss fight, you have to run all the way back from the same respawn point. Either that or you keep Fast Travel and do that after every respawn, but doing this without Fast Travel should fit the theme.
Scythes are some of my favorite weapons in souls games. My first run in Dark Souls 3 was with a scythe. I picked it up and immediately thought "throw everything else away, THIS is my weapon now" They were never great weapons, but they're ABSOLUTELY serviceable. And in the right hands, are just as fun as any other weapon.
I love the way they look, and Fride's scythe from DS3, and the burial blade in BB are amazing examples of style and functionality, idk why they don't get _more_ love lol
@@DoomWolfOfficial it is arguably more fitting because look at it from a lore stand point for the run: using the immortality of death you escape from the grafted scion before it can kill you
Just a heads up in case you arent aware the grafted scion doesnt actually kill you in the intro, its programmed in such a way you you dont actually die so the proper way to do deathless is to let the scion 'kill' you
I feel like if I let the scion beat me to _near_ death then tried to pass it off as deathless, at best that wouldn't feel in the spirit of deathlesslol
Oddly convenient that this was posted the day after I beat myrcul the lord of bones in my bg3 monk only solo run killing the god of death with my bare hands in 2 rounds or lore wise 12 seconds. So I guess the position is open and your application was accepted. Congratulations, Doomwolf, you are now the god of death. Your first job is to help get rid of all this ultra fine bonemeal.
Cool run. I honestly love the scythe moveset in this game even if they made it alot slower than ds3's moveset, seriously scythes in ds3 could swing almost as fast as straight swords and now they're more comparable to greatswords. personally I've never had issue with the damage or stun, however, I don't aim for staggers so it's a mute point i guess. I know you try to not infuse weapons and black flame tornado seemed to hard carry, but, I would honestly use a frost infusion because "the *cold* touch of death" also blood/frost is just an absolutely stupid combo for the sheer damage potential it has, may defeat the point of it being a challenge, but could still be thematic overall. Also the death rancor spells but those require int and faith and would spread your stats way to thin to be even remotely useful. Anyway another good run defeated 👍
Ensha invades when you get the haligtree medalion piece in the village of the albinaurics. There's a glowing pot on topmost level, just roll into it and talk to the guy.
You only actually need to talk to alexander 2 times before he appears in farum for his quest. Post-Radahn fight arena and that one place in the lava. Thats it. Don't gotta summon him for anything like fire giant or whatever 👍
so like, a lot of people are saying this but my comment was actually referring to my consumables only run which I did way back when the game first launched, and he 100% disappeared from my world (as I couldn't get the Jar talisman) and i don't know why lol
About the alexander thing, it’s funny i beat a lot of the game, only summoning him for starscourge and before i took on the final boss i was trying to tie op loose ends. I could still complete his quest so to speak. He ended up at the crumbling city regardless
It seems he ends up there as long as you talk to him in Radahn's arena (and he just chills there until you do), which is good, dont wanna get locked out of the quest haha
Honestly i think doing deathless while doing i a specific build challenge is more trouble than it's worth, even deathless under normal playthroughs is difficult if you're aiming to beat the whole game without dying. Also i feel you on hard resets they're frustrating. Also assuming he doesn't glitch, Alexander would go next to a lava pool near the fort in northwest mt. Gelmir iirc.
Black Flame Tornado cancels even the base status build up of a weapon for the AoW duration Meaning the bleed affinity would only have helped for normal hits... if you could have a Blood BFT weapon Also the Grave Scythe has more raw power than Scythe - and might look better, but... Scythe has this nice double strike for a heavy attack - and also better for a DEX/FAI build, since it has higher AR on Keen than the Grave S Meaning if you apply Black Flame Blade and then do a heavy with the Scythe = waaay more damage than you can hope with a Grave S And a better over all status build up too - which is also true for Blood Flame Blade
I do like the double slash of the heavy attack, even if I didn't get to use it often haha the infusion stuff...infusions in these game always feel confusing and meta game-y to me, so thank you for the explanation my friend! :)
I do, and saw it first hand when recording this run. But like. Imagine if I had said that, I'd have gotten blasted by comments... actually that would have been smart LMAO
AFAIK Blackflame does 2 sets of damage, attack damage and then the 2% damage as a flat effect. As such BFT will always do a ton of damage no matter how much fire resistance they have as the 2% damage is flat damage not fire damage. I did recently try out a scythe only run myself... but by the time I was done with Morgot and trying to make my way down the sewers it had gone from a fun challenge to just a frustrating mess.
If I remember correctly this was the run where you ask the discord what armor set looks grim reaper-y. It's kinda frustrating seeing you not know that it's the haligtree medallion that triggers ensha's invasion lol
I'm illiterate (i make that joke but i really did go to Ensha's wiki page and was like 1000% sure it said the other medallion, and never thought to either double check, or try the haligtree one. OH WELL lol)
I don't blame you at all for givingnup on Deathless, that u can get to Fire Giant at all Deathless is admirable. Tbh, the players that attempt Deathless runs usually have specific builds that they know can get them to the end, and don't use limitations on their runs like your runs usually consist of. If you wanna try Deathless again, I suggest running a build you are familiar and comfortable with. Save "Challenge" Deathless runs for when you can even do it at all.
Yeah, I've thought about trying to do it again but without any limitations, I'm sure I could with some practice but resetting after every death is the opposite of fun lol

I can't speak about pvp, but one blood and open frost absolutely would melt anything that can be afflicted by those, and I wish I had done that here but I didn't want to stray too far from single scythe haha
I'm not sure if you're a hero or a villain for enabling JK Leeds to torture himself with throwing knives in Demon's Souls.
It's the beginning of my villain origin story :P
Lad, you dont mess up Alex’ questline by killing the fire giant you can only mess it up by never killing radahn or killing him early (at radahn)
You can even skip freeing him and just do radahn and he will always be at the festival, then by the lava wyrm next time and then you CAN summon him for fire giant but you don’t need to and he will appear in farum azula anyway
I always skip freeing him, in fact I don't think I've ever done either parts of his quest for being stuck in the ground lmao
But anyway, so this comment was actually referring to me doing my consumables only run, which happened REALLY early in the games life cycle. Like. The first, or one of the first, major patches. I went to every place he could be and he was just gone. Ever since then I didn't trust that he wouldn't just despawn
@@DoomWolfOfficialI’ve come back to talk to him in Caelid and Mt Gelmir while in Farum Azula
3rd comment!!!!
Third in the comments, first in our throwing knives ;)
You sir, are a HERO.
Excuse me, it's that I just watched JK Leeds' Demon's Souls knife only and came here by commission.
Now that I'm here I'll totally watch this video too though, obviously.
lol, thanks, but we both know JK leeds is the true hero
@@DoomWolfOfficial Well, from my lowly casual point of view, all of you challange runners are.
16:10 It applies a 40% boost to the last hit of your R1/L1 attack chain. With scythes I beleave you get a 4 hit R1 chain and 3 hit L1 if you dual wield them, that means if you manage to land 3 L1s while standing still the last one will deal 40% more damage.
neat, too bad most things wont hold still that long haha
I like this! I hadn't ever thought about it trying to mimic a fighting style, neat!
Deathless soul level one kick only would be great for sure. Ty Wolf!
Oh no
Lol
YESSSS new doom video dropped to help entertain me while I can't play video games myself
also, absolutely valid to not keep trying to do it deathless, and honestly props to you for making it as far as you did before tapping out
haha hope you enjoyed it my friend :)
6:58 i could be wrong, but the raptors black feathers is worn by assasins who fight in the style & presentation of birds, particularly the death birds. There's talon claws and a talisman boosting jump attacks you can get in stormveil castle.
Interesting, thanks!
Black Flame is good for literally everything, for the simple fact that it does percentage damage that ignores resistance
Exactly!
That weapon class got buffed recently
I feel like things always get buffed after I do the run lol
Not sure if you'll see this considering the five months times, but the reason why the armor upgrades jump damage is because of the enemy that uses it, and their lore. The lore is that the enemy has to claws like a bird and they manly use tactics a Raven would (getting the jump on the enemy/prey by jumping down and attacking them or mainly using jump attacks)
so what you're saying is if I tape knives to my feet and jump, it does more damage than if I just jump without them! ..which...actually I mean, kinda would, defeating the joke in my response lol
but seriously, thanks for answering the question :)
Well technically when you get “killed by the scion you get to only 1 health so technically still alive but just something I realized
yeah, but if I did that I feel like the comment section would blast me ...actually that would have been a great idea lmao
You can do alexanders quest at any point in the game doesnt matter if fire giant is alive or not. The only requirement to start it is beating radahn
Apparently
But when I did consumables only he straight up disappeared from my world. Might have been an early patch mistake haha
Its the one that allows you to put Bleed, Poison, and Occult infusions on most Ashes of War
Edit: I'm way wrong and also bad at paying attention
16:04
idk man haha
Playing as death deathless. Love the irony. You got dis.
That which is not dead can death may due, or something lol
@@DoomWolfOfficial yeah, you lost me lawl
Ensha invades if you have a medallion half that gets you access to the haligtree :D
At this point this is probably true, half the comments already say this haha thanks for the tip!
haha thanks, I tried with the style :P and yeah, deathless is...I know I _can_ but wasting hours of my time was just very quickly wearing on me haha
I dont know why but watching this guy reminds me of when I watched gaming youtube as a kid. And that makes me happy. Time to sub and watch every video
I'm glad I can bring you some joy, my friend :)
Neat, thanks for the explanation!
Not sure anyone said this but you can still complete Alexander's quest after FG
at least you could on some patch.
I just sit back and enjoy your humor
haha well I amglad you enjoy the videos my friend :)
Black tornado is so good bc blackflame deals percentage based damage, i think Fire res doesn't reduce the damage it does
Yeah the black flame incantations percent damage is jsut amazing, and black flame tornado is broken if the boss holds still lol
I love how you snuck in Skyrim references and dark brotherhood ones at that ( they really work with the build)
is it a hint that I will play skyrim soon! ...No..
or is it??!?!!? lol
duel bone scythe was my 1st real build after my 1st sorta run/exploring play and it was because of a video that someone made that was to play like a necromancer and found that the weapons were really good granted this was the start of elden ring and not sure if it is fixed now but i noticed they would double hit enemies sometimes with their jumping duel hit move and made some bosses very easy to beat i think i beat fire giant in like 5-6 jump moves with buffs and enchanted ice or blood on them depending on the fight or quick step if need be
I remember being able to get double hits with the ceastus, i honestly was never sure if it was intentional or not haha
Just saying, you needed the Haligtree Medal-
Oh wait, it's been said once or twice already
On an unrelated note, I'm almost positive you can do Alexander's questline by talking to him after Radahn, then the volcano, then Farum, no matter what the state of the world is. I recall one distinct time I got the shard after beating the whole game, just before Malenia.
Lol yeah that's like half the comments
Also interesting
He 100% disappeared from my game when I did consumables only. So maybe an early patch thing
You should do a community poll for the after boss kill hit. I’d give it to you but I’m curious what others think.
That's not a bad idea actually!
Technically in the beginning of the game if you let the boss beat you it doesn’t actually kill you. it leaves you at 1 health and your teleported to that underground area. Great run all the same!
Yeah but I feel like if I did that, then tried to pass it off as deathless people would be angy lol
@@DoomWolfOfficial Lol I understand. I can't beat that thing once let alone 6 times 🤣🤣
After watching Gino's video on Scythes, I am convinced spinning weapon or the ashe of war where you spin it in front of you, should have been the default ashe from the start. It fits like a glove and is so busted.
It really would have been a perfect ash of war for them, maybe too strong and that's why haha
You need to get haligtree medallion either left or right
Thanks for the tip haha
Ah yes, the blackflame tornado was my cheese of choice on my first playthrough, still has a special place in my heart
I think the score for the hit-no hit question is even at 4-3 (in favor of hit), which is interesting haha
glad you enjoyed it my friend :)
Scythes and great spears really do feel underdeveloped in ER
Edit: the raptor chestpiece boosts jump attack damage because it pairs with Raptors of the Mist, raptor's claws, and the claw talisman. Elden Ring associates the jump attacks with birds of prey.
That would have been really cool, I wish Scythes (and whips) got more love haha
you could have done the same rule as pewdiepie did for his deathless run which is dying to the scion because you are actually left on 1 hp meaning you never died
I mean you're not wrong but I feel like If I tried to pass that off as deathless I'd get blasted in the comments...hold on you're a genius lol
2. One death to gravity, one death to tomfoolery (or however you spell it)
I appreciate your confidence in me lol
Why's it always "can I beat insert game as or with?" yes of course you can beat it you made the bloody video! Anyway cool video nice work Doom love you goodnight.
well I used to be "can **you** beat.." but I started using "I" because technically you wouldn't know the answer if /I/ could without seeing it lol
Wow never thought Doom knew so little about elden ring.
I get all my info from fextra, which means I know nothing lmao
@@DoomWolfOfficial yeah makes sense. Your really good at the game mechanicaly though which definetly makes up for it.
In the case of 1st Loretta, I think I'd say it wouldn't count as hitless. You technically did beat her without being hit, but the carian swords are still an attack from her. Still pretty impressive though, better than I can do 😅
Loved the video, keep up the great work! ❤
I think the score is now 2-3 in favor of not hitless haha
and thanks but for her, to be fair, I just hit L2 like twice :P
Thanks!
I think the boss doesn’t technically die until the “boss defeated” message pops up but I’m not 100% sure
I would very much welcome seeing an actual deathless run with that being the only challenge.
if I do that I would probably do it as a stream, and we all know how often I stream lol
"I was able to get him before his phase transition, but not without him showing me he knew instant transmission"
yo, bars!
A surprising number of enemies in this game know that technique lol
If you had killed Albus before burning the Erdtree and picked up the secret medalion half, then Ensha would have invaded.
gosh darn it Albus, i'll get you next time old man!
Watching this again, I didn't even realize you used the shackle on Mohg until now. OH MY GOD, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. I SHOULD HAVE, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT OF IT.
It's helpful to burst him down that's for sure haha
An alternate version of a Deathless run is to have a single actual respawn point. Fast Travel optional. If die in the middle of the boss fight, you have to run all the way back from the same respawn point. Either that or you keep Fast Travel and do that after every respawn, but doing this without Fast Travel should fit the theme.
I have thought about doing no (or limited) grace runs before, which would essentially be this haha
Scythes are some of my favorite weapons in souls games. My first run in Dark Souls 3 was with a scythe. I picked it up and immediately thought "throw everything else away, THIS is my weapon now"
They were never great weapons, but they're ABSOLUTELY serviceable. And in the right hands, are just as fun as any other weapon.
I love the way they look, and Fride's scythe from DS3, and the burial blade in BB are amazing examples of style and functionality, idk why they don't get _more_ love lol
FYI: letting the grafted scion kill you actually doesn’t kill you, you’ll notice the screen fades to black before any death animation can ever occur
yes this is true, but I also feel like it's not in the spirit of the run lol
Your first job is to help get rid of all this ultra fine bonemeal.
thank you for the opportunity, I wont let you down
I did think about infusing for cold because of that reason, but thought it would be too powerful lmao
Ensha invades when you get the haligtree medalion piece in the village of the albinaurics.
There's a glowing pot on topmost level, just roll into it and talk to the guy.
The first part, yes
The second part, you say it like I didn't take him on the marry go round...of death lmao
cool seeing you do this run! funny enough, this was actually what I did for my second ever run!! :3
Nice! It was a lot of fun! Well, after I stopped resetting lmao
I love you big man doom and your videos
Thanks my friend, glad you enjoy the videos :)
I’d be very curious to see a deathless run and what weapons you’d go with to make it happen!
if I ever did it it would probably be with either a colossal weapon for stance break jump attacks, or duel daggers lol
I love the grave scythe and this video actually had me dying. Great video 😂😂
Id like it more if I didn't tie it to deathless, when I uncoupled that though it was a good time haha
@@DoomWolfOfficial why were you doing deathless?
You only actually need to talk to alexander 2 times before he appears in farum for his quest. Post-Radahn fight arena and that one place in the lava. Thats it. Don't gotta summon him for anything like fire giant or whatever 👍
so like, a lot of people are saying this
but my comment was actually referring to my consumables only run which I did way back when the game first launched, and he 100% disappeared from my world (as I couldn't get the Jar talisman) and i don't know why lol
@@DoomWolfOfficial O my bad, I scrolled a little ways and only saw the ensha stuff lol. Cool video though, well made ♥️
About the alexander thing, it’s funny i beat a lot of the game, only summoning him for starscourge and before i took on the final boss i was trying to tie op loose ends. I could still complete his quest so to speak. He ended up at the crumbling city regardless
It seems he ends up there as long as you talk to him in Radahn's arena (and he just chills there until you do), which is good, dont wanna get locked out of the quest haha
Man the run back to Morgott is a lot longer than I remember XD
lmaoo, tell me about it
0:05 And that one poor soldier was never heard of again.
facts, Jeff went away to his family's farm after that .. lol
Agreed, I've thought about doing a proper deathless run but without weapon restrictions. But the hard resets put me off so bad haha
Black Flame Tornado cancels even the base status build up of a weapon for the AoW duration
Meaning the bleed affinity would only have helped for normal hits... if you could have a Blood BFT weapon
Also the Grave Scythe has more raw power than Scythe - and might look better, but...
Scythe has this nice double strike for a heavy attack - and also better for a DEX/FAI build, since it has higher AR on Keen than the Grave S
Meaning if you apply Black Flame Blade and then do a heavy with the Scythe = waaay more damage than you can hope with a Grave S
And a better over all status build up too - which is also true for Blood Flame Blade
I do like the double slash of the heavy attack, even if I didn't get to use it often haha
the infusion stuff...infusions in these game always feel confusing and meta game-y to me, so thank you for the explanation my friend! :)
To be invaded by ensha you need the first half of the secret medallion in the albinauric village, talk to the albinauric transformed in a jar
Yeah I'm just illiterate lol
Ok I wasn't gonna say anything but I legit guessed 6 thinking it was too little, then you just continued and I felt like a genius.
haha nice guess!
Fun fact the confessors sword is kinda legal to a grim reaper build, the Greek god of death Thanatos is a grim reaper figure and he uses a sword.
neat!
Did you not know the Grafted Scion doesnt kill you?
You just get teleprted with 1 HP, there is no sound text or whatever either, that says you died.
I did recently try out a scythe only run myself... but by the time I was done with Morgot and trying to make my way down the sewers it had gone from a fun challenge to just a frustrating mess.
yeah it does the actual attack _then_ applies the DoT, i'm pretty sure
and oof, I feel that lol
We all love doom wolf
Aw, thanks my friend :)
If I remember correctly this was the run where you ask the discord what armor set looks grim reaper-y. It's kinda frustrating seeing you not know that it's the haligtree medallion that triggers ensha's invasion lol
I'm illiterate
(i make that joke but i really did go to Ensha's wiki page and was like 1000% sure it said the other medallion, and never thought to either double check, or try the haligtree one.
Ironic. He could save JK Leeds’ run from death, but not his own.
This is the way, I will go down in a blaze of glory for JK!
First time I've ever been this early! Love the videos as always
Hope you enjoy it my friend :)
@@DoomWolfOfficial Thanks! And I did enjoy it as always :D
