4:37 I can actually answer that. It's heavily implied by him dropping a Shabriri grape that Edgar has gone mad and succumbed to the Frenzied Flame in some way. He's not attacking you because it makes sense, he's mindlessly lashing out at everything and everyone. A recurring theme with the Frenzied Flame is sorrow and despair. Wanting the Flame to burn away everything, including the suffering of its adherents. Misery, misfortune, pain, loss, everything, reduced to ash.
@@loganraiford7294 nah, I just really like the Frenzied Flame lore. There was a time in my life where... let's just say I *heavily* sympathized with the idea of making all the pain go away. So to me the Frenzied Flame lore has a lot of weight behind it.
Now I am sad, but I should have expected sad lore from a From soft game. Thanks for answering the question, and reading your other response, I hope you're in a better place my friend.
Not only that, but Shabriri himself couldve convinced them to put faith in the fingers to bring his daughter back, hence why hyetta is a living person even if they arnt quite his daughter anymore
@@DoomWolfOfficial There are some tips I can offer for Godfrey/Hoarah Loux in future playthroughs/challenge runs. There's the Golden Vow spell/AoW you could use if you ever run a faith-heavy build, as it's boosts offense *and* defense. You can also combine this with the Boiled Prawn/Crab Big Boggart sells you at the Boilprawn Shack/Capital Outskirt Moat. And then stack it further using Blessing of the Erdtree, again if you've invested a sizable amount into faith, along with the Opaline Bubbletear from the Erdtree Avatar in the Weeping Peninsula, and the Opaline Hardtear, from the Putrid Avatar in Dragonbarrow, located at the Minor Erdtree past Flying Dragon Greyll. Since these are all different types of buffs, they stack with each other and the end result is a Tarnished who can eat even Hoarah Loux's grabs like they're pretzels.
When I saw irina laying down I walked over to her and pressed examine, “she’s dead” I literally burst out laughing, it was just so blunt and out of no where
26:33 I feel like you definitely could've done this if you were using an Erdtree Seal +10 in one hand and used that one to cast the spells (due to its very high Incant scaling and S Faith scaling) whilst having the Frenzied Flame Seal in the other hand for the extra Frenzy Spell damage. Starlight Shards could also help a bunch (there's a total of 20 of them in the game). P.S. You could've gone to the Shack of the Lofty in the Mountaintops of the Giants to get the Traveling Maiden Armor Set to cosplay as Hyetta if you wanted to.
I didn't let myself use Golden vow, using an offhand seal for scaling may or may not have had the same reaction (I didn't think about it lol), starlight shards would have helped with mana, but they regen hella slow, so the problem persists about running away from him and not getting hit
Could you explain this mechanic a bit please? i didnt know that you can get one seals effects while using another seal...Does this work with leveling up the seals as well, and would this work for duo-ing staves?
@@mrpaintwolf2010 Basically, if you have a Staff/Seal with a passive boost in one hand, that passive boost will also apply to the Staff/Seal in your other hand that you will use to cast the spells due to it having higher Sorcery/Incant Scaling. For example, most people usually use Lusat's Glintstone Staff as their staff for casting spells whilst having another staff like the Staff of Loss in their other hand for the passive boost of Night Sorceries. Most people that use Gravity sorceries use the Meteorite Staff alongside Lusat's Glintstone Staff which they use for casting the spells. An especially good combination is using the Staff of the Guilty for the Aberrant (Thorn) Sorceries passive boost and the Albinauric Staff that has S Arcane Scaling for casting the spells due to the S Arcane Scaling causing blood loss to occur a lot more frequently with the Thorn Sorceries making them amazing especially with the latest update where they received a huge buff (this makes an Int/Arcane build a valid option). Passive boosts also stack so getting 2 of each Seals/Staffs in NG+ is worth it if you will be using those types of spells a lot that those Staffs/Seals passively boost. (Upgrading the Staffs/Seals doesn't increase the passive boost. It only increases Sorcery/Incant Scaling).
BTW, just a small thing with the run: You were using the 3rd worst seal in the game for any incantation. Even the starter seal is better. The best thing you should have done was use the Godslayer's seal if you had less than 69 (nice) faith, and if you had at least 69 faith, use the Erdtree seal, meaning that you were nerfing your own damage before starting fights, especially because you could have held the frenzied flame seal in your off hand, which would still give the 20% bonus to damage, and used a better seal for the actual casting.
When I was fighting Mohg I actually did switch to the basic finger seal and noticed a slight bump in damage (there isn't footage of that in this video), but I decided to ignore it and just keep using the Frenzied Flame seal, because I had gone mad lol I also totally forgot you can offhand seals for their effects, just an oversight on my part lol
Hey, i had a question cause you say the fenzied seal is one of the worst seal, but i tried every maxed out seal with a bunch of incantations at lvl 50 faith and this seal always had the best damage. Even the black flame fireball casted with godslayer seal had lower damage than casted with fenzied seal. So maybe it was bc my faith level was low or bc i had the burn of the tree fingers boosting this seal ? Idk if it works that way
@@enzo8356 The frienzied flame seal has the 3rd highest incantation scaling at the soft cap, however it also is reliant on 4 separate stats. You aren't reaching soft cap with it until rune level 270 at minimum. The Golden Order Seal and Dragon Communion Seal both have higher incantation scaling at the soft cap and only require 2 stats, so can reach the soft cap a full 140 levels earlier. The Erdtree Seal only needs faith, so you can reach the soft cap with it as early as rune level 60ish, however its cap is roughly 10-15% lower than the actual top tier seals.
@@enzo8356 It depends on what your other stats are, if you have really high on everything, then yes, it can get good damage, but overall it, at least at the time i wrote this comment, had the lowest overall scaling. IDK if they buffed it after that, but it generally had lower scaling than other seals, and i was going off of a very nice video by a youtuber named Chrightt, which i will link here th-cam.com/video/Gem_oDETZ74/w-d-xo.html Keep in mind that this is an older video, but the basic idea is that, at any given faith level, there is one seal that deals the highest damage, unless you have high arcane, or high int, as the dragon communion seal, or the golden order seal can get even higher with their split-scaling, idk about claw mark or frenzy flame though, and the best general use one that i've seen was the god-slayer up until 69 faith, at which point the erdtree seal becomes better.
anyone else think it was cool how they included the very small detail of the red wolf getting the orange flame in his eyes specifically due to dying to a madness incantation
I was sad that the rematch with Roundtable knight Vyke didn't happen but I remembered that this Vyke doesn't use any frenzy attacks so it's fine Good video, looking forward for more of this "Incinirate all that divides and distinguishes, may chaos rule the world!"
I'd like to mention: In an early build of the game, the leonine misbegotten actually wielded the grafted sword and would even use its Ash of War to buff his damage, but for some reason they changed that in later patches.
Just discovered your channel, and you are criminally underrated. Very interesting, unique runs and builds along with some of the most hilarious one liners and bits. Keep up the good work!
You don't actually NEED to be in Altus for Radahn to spawn. You can just progress Ranni's questline until you either get the Nokron answers from Sellen(by way of Seluvis) or Jerren(after a pretty tough boss fight). Once either is triggered, then the festival starts and you can fight Radahn.
Something that you forgot about that you could’ve used in the Mohg fight is Starlight Shards, but even then there’s only about 30 of them and that’s it, so limited tries and still not mathematically guaranteed.
I did consider this (you're right I didn't mention it though lol) but the problem wasn't mana (I mean, it was but lol) the problem would be the likely hood of not dying to Mohg in phase two while waiting for the mana to regen, doubly so if I'm trying to do it without getting hit at all
@@DoomWolfOfficial While not much, have you thought about the Frenzyflame stones? They are like warmstones in that it gives AoE health regen. They actually heal 35 hp per second (compared to warmstone's 25 hp per sec, and you can stack them for 60 hp per sec in total). The downside normally is that it builds up madness, BUT those who have been hugged by the three fingers don't get the madness buildup penalty. They are also craftable, and the materials aren't that hard to get, nor are they limited in amount.
I think the reason why Edgar invades you is because in his grief, madness took his senses, and in his mad pursuit of revenge, he tricked himself into believing that you were also responsible for his daughter's death, which if you think about it, makes a little sense, as you can imagine how you might also be blamed by someone like him as the person who left his daughter behind
I wish Madness and Deathblight had more relevance in PvE. The mod, Elden Ring Reforged, implements this idea: Madness works like Bleed when it procs and also deals a hefty amount of poise damage, and Deathblight... works how you would expect
@@DoomWolfOfficial Yep. Madness works on bosses, though some are resistant and/or outright immune. Deathblight is tricky as, expectedly, bosses have high resistances or immunities but it is possible on those susceptible.
Frenzied Burst is good if you wanna role play as Cyclops from the X-men, while Hookclaws and regen passives / spells is good for Wolverine. Just random thoughts :D (Btw really love the Madness build, too bad you didn't allow Vyke's Spear as well)
That's true, great for the cosplay! yeah, before starting it I had to decide if it was madness, or frenzied flame incantations only, I know the actual title is "MAD" but the run was incantations only so the spear was, unfortunately, off limits lol
hey, I appreciate the subtitles! sometimes I can't handle much sound when my body decides to do a migraine but I still can and want to watch stuff, and decent subtitles are a god send. I can only imagine how long it takes to do them, so I want you to know all that effort is appreciated ☺️
No problem my friend! They aren't that hard to make (though premiere has big problems understanding video game names lol), and I know some people like them, so I'm happy to make them :)
Blessdew Talisman could help you keep your health topped off for the Mohgwyn fight, it is painfully slow but it may be what helps you beat him. There are other forms of healing but there are/may be problems with them: Icon Shield: has a passive hp regen ability similar to the Blessdew Talisman, however it may clash with the challenge's rule as it's not a Frenzied Flame item. This doesn't apply to the Talisman and starting Finger Seal because that would be bullshit, but it's foggier with the shield. Beastial Vitality: literally just an incantation variant of the Talisman, but if you're not allowing Golden Vow then Beastial Vitality definitely wouldn't count Royal Remains set: has passive hp regen which stacks based on how much of it you're wearing... Up until about 30% or something. We need it at like 100% for maximum damage and the Royal Remains set just won't cut it
tbh the problem isn't healing, it's being able to stay far enough away from Mohg to hit him and then repeat that for 40 minutes lol (the blessed dew talisman would likely have helped with the small damage from bloodflame, but getting hit by anything other than that then it wouldn't matter)
@@DoomWolfOfficial yeah that makes sense, I was kinda focused on keeping the Ritual Sword Talisman effect active but when every other attack brings you to half health it would be a bit of a waste of a talisman slot. Would you bring Icon Shield tho? Again I don't know if that would break the rules of the challenge because it's not technically a Frenzied Flame item but then again you also used the fingerprint seal to cast your incantations until you got the Frenzied seal
21:50 Why not? Beast's Roar is dope af! You could call it the Skyrim/Shout Challenge. It's quite fun plus roars get buffed by the Highland Axe, the Roar Medallion, and arts Alexander's Talismans. Nice run!
we are all mad down here lol I do plan on doing wolverine at some point (because I did it in DS1 and want to do all the themes across all the games), and Angel/sythe run could be fun
4:28 "Ah, the poor fellow... gone perfectly mad. Love... revenge... the frenzied flame melts it all away" --silent spirit facing shack in near pond. So yeah, Edgar went crazy after coming into contact with some frenzied flames. Probably due to that annoying frenzied flame tower in Liurnia? Either way, he has just gone completely mad as is also evident by the many corpses and meat clumps in his shack. He has no reason, he's just crazy. Also, there are some very credible fan theories that Irinas death was planned/staged to a degree. Not staged as in she survived, she IS dead, but staged as in, put on as a show to drive Edgar mad. Because Hyetta looks like Irina AND even has the same voice. So something probably possesed her/copied/stole her body similarly to what happens to Yura. And for the crime scene, there probably wasn't any demi human/misbegotten involved in it because why would they just leave their cleaver there in the ground? They wouldn't. It was clearly staged so that Edgar would have a wrong target. To lead him somewhere and have him go crazy, because that way we can get shabriri grapes. And Hyetta wants shabriri grapes. The only weird part is how she is disgusted and throws up when you tell her the grapes are eyes, but that could just be really good acting. Either way, something is very wrong with Hyetta, maybe she is the mimic like monster that planned this out, or maybe it was the three fingers planning this all and just using Irinas body as a puppet.
I deeply appreciate this post, for as familiar as I am with the game mechanics, lore and fan theories are something I haven't delved deep into. Thank you my friend for spelling it out for me :)
@@DoomWolfOfficial No problem, I am not deeply familiar with the lore myself, but I know the most important stuff and some of the sidestories. Especially because I am currently playing a new character where I wanted to do 100% of all quest lines using guides because you know how Souls Game quests are, you can mess everything up without any even slight hint for anything. The quests are honestly just terribly designed and require hundreds of times of trial and error(or datamining) to actually figure everything out. Anyways, because of my current character, I am also looking up all the stuff I am wondering about within the quests, and seeing that this character also is gonna be a madness PvP build, Hyettas Quest is quite important to me lol. Another fun fact you may not know that I see A LOT of people get wrong. People think Ranni just pisses off with the Elden Ring into space or smth and leaves humans alone in chaos. But in reality, Ranni wants to keep the repaired Elden Ring away from the mortal lands so that noone can ever shatter it again. Because the Elden Ring is the physical manifestation of the laws of nature. So for example, because the Rune of Death, a part of the Elden Ring, was broken in the shattering, people respawn, since death no longer works without the Rune of Death. I love how even respawning is part of the lore. Anyways, Ranni keeps a safe distance from the world where she is close enough to overlook it but far away enough so that noone can ever reach and shatter the Elden Ring again. So Rannis ending is actually the one that SOLVES the problems of these lands and brings the people a free life, not ruled by any demi-gods, with functioning laws of nature. Rannis ending surely leads to the most prospering society. While all the Elden Lord endings just either perpetuate the cycle or make it actively worse by only mending part of the Elden Ring. Ofc the worst for the world would be the Frenzied Flame, but I just often saw people describe Ranni as the coldhearted Witch that abandons the world to explore the stars. When in reality, she does what is best for the world and selflessly isolates herself from human interaction to safeguard the Elden Ring. I guess that means as her husband in that ending you two have nothing but time on your hands ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
For Mogh you could have tried after Elden beast at higher lvl and used starlight shards wich give a total of 1200 fp if you use all 10 u can carry. Also offhanding the frenzied seal still gives the buff allowing u to use a better one in main hand to cast with.
I did think about going full 99 in a few stats just to try for fun, starlight shards would have helped with mana but mana wasn't really the primary concern. As far as off handing the seal, I hadn't actually considered that, but I didn't let myself use golden vow so I am not sure if I would have let myself do that haha
4:40 THANK YOU!!! I'm glad someone else is pointing out how dumb it is that its just a Leonine Misbegotten and not a Misbegotten Crusader wielding the Grafted Black Greatsword
it would have been cool to see you use vykes spear and it could have helped with the fights you felt weren't doable. either way, loved the video ! your humor is amazing p.s. I think a vyke cosplay run where you start with dragon lighting and switch to frenzy flame would be really cool :]
I thought about using his spear, but I didn't want to accidently hit something with the weapon (during the ash of war) because then its...mostly madness only ya know haha Maybe one day I'll do a vyke playthrough!
The problem with a vyke play through is it pretty much has to use an excessive number of zips and wrongwarps to get the ancient dragon incants, or you’d have to do it on NG+. I’m doing a loose vyke run rn on NG and it’s a lot of fun but I wouldn’t limit yourself to frenzy after getting frenzied flame, much more fun to be able to use both. I also think it’s a lost opportunity to use Vyke’s dragonbolt on his spear, I know why you can’t but it would be really cool if you could.
Discovered this hidden gem of a channel which has quality content and humour that's right up my alley Hell, i laughed in the first 10 seconds of this video when doomwolf jumped off the forge of giants lmaoo Subbed.
I think the frenzied flame ending really makes light of the absence of reality I crave. However putting any thought towards this absence of reality is a waste of time because we can never achieve it, but these thoughts are a good time waster. The only problem is that these thoughts fill me with a sadness of something that will never be possible because the universe and my consciousness are already linked and cannot be separated.
Why would you crave the absence of reality. I would like to see a world absent of somethings that cause pain and fatigue, that draw lines between us, but not the actual absense of reality
Sounds really nice doesn't it? Good things are nice but they are so few and far between all the pain and suffering, that it looks viable to burn it all down into nothing and be absent.
In my faith run, I found Frenzied Burst to be unironically a really good incantation for one main reason. It doesn't trigger the AI to dodge. Most spells/incantations have a flag that, when the projectile spawns in, it causes the AI to dodge, but some like the Night Sorceries and Burst don't have that trigger, meaning the AI will never try to dodge. Plus, for an incantation, it has insanely long range, making it amazing as a long range tool while you are working up to closer range to start shoving black flames up their ass. Although, the flag is "on projectile spawn", not "when it's coming after me", so stuff like the Meteor will make the AI try to dodge the summon, then just let the rocks slam into them a few seconds later because they're blind...
It's unironically a good incantation because of the sheer speed it comes out at for me lol, but yeah I love how they dodge on cast, not (near) hit, because it's funny to summon rocks and just watch them pelt the enemy
over the time I've watched so many ER challenge run videos and played the game so much that they started to become boring, but this video kept me entertained all the way through. well done!
I don't...know if this is accurate. I thought the two ways were ranni's quest as far as it could go (so up to the festival), or using the dectus lift specifically? I don't remember lol
In case you'd like to play the DLC on insane difficulty, there is a way the out of bound Mohg glitch still works, involving the Great Heal incantation, or in the spirit of true madness I imagine you could allow yourself the Blessed Blue Dew Talisman for that one fight. Anyways, I really love your videos and thank you for all the great entertainment over the years!
I'm glad you enjoy them my friend, I don't really plan on how long or short they are, it's more like how difficult it is and how much I have to say about it haha
There is a helmet that lowers incantations fp cost, the talisman that lowers your hp and the fp cost of every spell, and starlight shards (many of them around the world), that could be helpful in the Mohg fight. For healing there are some yellow stones that are more effective at healing frenzied flame characters
Yes I forgot about the headpiece, though to be fair it is incredibly ugly and I wouldn't have worn it anyway :P as far as starlight shards go, yes they exist but I have an aversion to not using limited items, though I didnt mention that honestly the issue wasn't healing, i'm fairly decent at Mohg, the problem is being locked into an animation and him flying halfway across the arena to smack me lol
Deadass who was also shocked by the appearance of the totally not eye of sauron first time discovering it I saw it off in the distance and stopped dead and my tracks like uh..... Yea ok and walked towards it Then started getting inflicted with madness and was like alright fine be that way
Unendurable Frenzy is amazing if you only use it with your Physick with Faith-knot Crystal Tear (+10 faith) and Cerulean Hidden Tear (infinite FP for 15 seconds).
I really enjoyed this video and actually done something similar before, the only tip I would suggest is to wear armor that has high focus to decrease the amount of madness you receive. Love the vid and keep up the great work💯😁
if i remember correctly, the dragon seal is actually the best one for frenzied flame incantation since both it and the spells scale mostly on faith and arcane compared to the frenzy flame seal which splits its scaling so much
Yeah the optimal way would have been the frenzied flame seal in a off hand, then a different seal to cast, but I stick a little too close to the theme I guess lol
20:33 if you wanted to increase the damage I believe that inescapable frenzy scales off the critical damage of your left handed weapon so with something like a dagger you would do more
recently many people have told me this, I wonder if I actually would have one shot him had I done it correctly. (also I thought it was supposed the right hand weapon and not left hand?
Bro, frenzied burst, frenzied flame, fire damage scorpion, max health attack buff, charged spells buff and incantation buff, you just walk back and laser the enemy from away and if they have a big opening you cast the flame for insane damage and stagger. The frenzied burst has such an enormous distance that you can shoot enemies from outside of their field of vision so they literally dont know where you at and start searching
I too am a fan of the spell: Frenzied cut in the face with a big ass spear. its gotta be in my top 5 spells along with Carian Bonk and Golden Lions Claw
Fortissax needs that one move that the first ancient dragon you come up on has where he flies and slings down a red lighting glaive, or he should just shoot his fire more
I kinda forgot he has the lighting glave attack, because he didn't do it often, just right at the end of the fight (at least in this run). I wish he was a little faster so you couldn't just run away from him lol
I don't know if people know this, but for the fire giant, you don't need the Iframes when he does his first wave attack. If you dash on the horse and jump off at the right time, you avoid it and get some extra distance while you're at it
14:22 that omen looks away from the ladder permanently to get past him without fighting him all you have to do is: walk. seriously, he doesnt turn around if you dont make enough noise to make him turn around also considering how often you arent hit and are running around for long periods of time why didnt you get the blessed dew talisman? would have probably helped to finish mohg
i did made a Scott Summers/Cyclops build using nothing but the Frenzy flame that comes out of his Eyes was a fun One and it did made sense to name after an X=Man
I find it odd that the leonine doesn’t wield the grafted sword, but statistically it’s way weirder that the other leonine does weird the GO GS, because it’s the only leonine that actually uses the sword he drops, that’s not the case for either this or the ruin sword misbegotten in redmane castle
Probably some slip-up on Fromsoft model design/animation team part. Or, more likely, this: Mountaintops are one of the later gamr areas, it had much less dungeons, but every dungeon there is much more complicated than most dungeons in other areas. So Leonine Misbegotten with GO GS was fully modeled and aninated to use it, due to him being the only Leonine Misbegotten in the entirety of Mountaintops, and dues to how little dungeons are there. (Quality > Quantity scenario). Other two are copy+paste from standard Leonine Misbegotten enemies we see everywhere else (Quantity > Quality scenario). That's understandable, they had to design alot of dungeons and bosses both in Caelid and Peninsula. The Redmane Castle one is genuinely a weird fight, felt like two enemies were just slapped together to annoy players. Yes, lore-wise the Crucible Knight coming to help Misbegotten makes sense, but still.
I guess you're right, the Golden Order Greatsword one is the anomaly lol, I would never claim to be anywhere near the levels of programmers that work at From soft, but I've done game programming before and know that it wouldn't be hard to switch out the swords on their models (then just adjust the hitbox size a bit), who knows
@@DoomWolfOfficial Oh I agree it’s weird *that* they don’t all use the swords they drop of course ^^ And thanks for confirming my suspicions, I dabble in calculator levels of coding but even to me it didn’t seem like it should be that much effort to swap a model around, though to be fair for the GO GS they also gave the mob a few more moves. But like even then, the grafted sword has no oddities that’s require adding any moves, and the ruined GS only has one move that’s special and they probably could’ve just repurpose the player’s animation I gander
@@almightykars9350 Lorewise it doesn’t really make any sense that a crucible knight would come help a random misbegotten, if that was true we’d expect a lot less slave misbegotten ^^ My best attempt at a rational for this, lorewise, is that since the misbegottens used to be not crazy, as we can know thanks to edgar’ and irina’s dialogues, and since radahn was a general of the erd tree and a fan of godfrey, he probably took this crucible knight with him when he betrayed leyndell and the leonine was a misbegotten he’s admitted in his ranks because he was strong and was « on theme » for his army (not saying this consciously affected his decision to be clear, moreso it must’ve felt right to hire a leonine misbegotten when he and his idol are lion themed so much). But yeah gameplay wise it’s just a pain and not really a fight that’s worth anything :/
Started watching you after your Ditto video. Since then I've gone and watched all your Elden Ring challenge videos and they are all great! I also love how you put in CC for us hard of hearing/deaf folks. Thanks man! And keep up the great work!

@@DoomWolfOfficial There are some tips I can offer for Godfrey/Hoarah Loux in future playthroughs/challenge runs. There's the Golden Vow spell/AoW you could use if you ever run a faith-heavy build, as it's boosts offense *and* defense. Starlight Shards could also help a bunch (there's a total of 20 of them in the game).

The way you said “Edgar’s main concern was that the sword wouldn’t get into the hands of a misbegotten… which it did” was pretty funny
well it was and it did lol thanks
IDK if they buffed it after that, but it generally had lower scaling than other seals, and i was going off of a very nice video by a youtuber named Chrightt, which i will link here
th-cam.com/video/Gem_oDETZ74/w-d-xo.html
Keep in mind that this is an older video, but the basic idea is that, at any given faith level, there is one seal that deals the highest damage, unless you have high arcane, or high int, as the dragon communion seal, or the golden order seal can get even higher with their split-scaling, idk about claw mark or frenzy flame though, and the best general use one that i've seen was the god-slayer up until 69 faith, at which point the erdtree seal becomes better.
anyone else think it was cool how they included the very small detail of the red wolf getting the orange flame in his eyes specifically due to dying to a madness incantation
honestly, never even noticed lol
I was sad that the rematch with Roundtable knight Vyke didn't happen but I remembered that this Vyke doesn't use any frenzy attacks so it's fine

My chaos take the world!
I'd like to mention: In an early build of the game, the leonine misbegotten actually wielded the grafted sword and would even use its Ash of War to buff his damage, but for some reason they changed that in later patches.
Interesting, they should have left it because it gives more character, I wonder why it was changed
Just discovered your channel, and you are criminally underrated. Very interesting, unique runs and builds along with some of the most hilarious one liners and bits. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, I'm glad you like the videos :) I'll keep doing my best!
Yeah a couple other people mentioned that, the more you know!
Edgar makes sense, hes been overcome by hatred, madness and despair, that's why he has the madness eyes, he will attack anything and anyone now
ya know what, put like that he does
Nice bro, thx!!!
Glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank he’s amazing
Thanks my friend, I'm glad I can make people laugh :)
me? thanks haha
You didn't have to head to Altus to get Radahn in. Ranni's questline brings him in too.
I did not know this, you and someone else mentioned it and you're absolutely right, thanks for the tip!
Him falling to madness makes perfect sense actually
You could've gotten such a massive damage boost from unendurable frenzy if you aimed it at the ground like the basic flame of frenzy
Yeah I didn't use it long enough to think about that lol
You deserve so much more than what you get on these videos truly love your stuff
Thanks my friend, just glad people enjoy the videos :)
I wish Madness and Deathblight had more relevance in PvE. The mod, Elden Ring Reforged, implements this idea: Madness works like Bleed when it procs and also deals a hefty amount of poise damage, and Deathblight... works how you would expect
does...does it work on bosses? because holy shit lol
@@DoomWolfOfficial Yep. Madness works on bosses, though some are resistant and/or outright immune. Deathblight is tricky as, expectedly, bosses have high resistances or immunities but it is possible on those susceptible.
@@Ouroboros619 this makes me want to install the mod and do a deathblight only run lol
Always liked the story of the frenzied flame so always nice to see it
It was nice to see a different ending screen for once lol

A little more forward and my character would agree lmao
Frenzied Burst is good if you wanna role play as Cyclops from the X-men, while Hookclaws and regen passives / spells is good for Wolverine. Just random thoughts :D
(Btw really love the Madness build, too bad you didn't allow Vyke's Spear as well)
That's true, great for the cosplay!
yeah, before starting it I had to decide if it was madness, or frenzied flame incantations only, I know the actual title is "MAD" but the run was incantations only so the spear was, unfortunately, off limits lol
hey, I appreciate the subtitles! sometimes I can't handle much sound when my body decides to do a migraine but I still can and want to watch stuff, and decent subtitles are a god send.

There are other forms of healing but there are/may be problems with them:
Icon Shield: has a passive hp regen ability similar to the Blessdew Talisman, however it may clash with the challenge's rule as it's not a Frenzied Flame item. This doesn't apply to the Talisman and starting Finger Seal because that would be bullshit, but it's foggier with the shield.
Beastial Vitality: literally just an incantation variant of the Talisman, but if you're not allowing Golden Vow then Beastial Vitality definitely wouldn't count
Royal Remains set: has passive hp regen which stacks based on how much of it you're wearing...
I’m surprised he didn’t go mad after this run…
Bad pun? I know- I’ll see myself out…

"Ah, the poor fellow... gone perfectly mad. Love... revenge... the frenzied flame melts it all away" --silent spirit facing shack in near pond.
@@DoomWolfOfficial
No problem, I am not deeply familiar with the lore myself, but I know the most important stuff and some of the sidestories.
I thought I was going mad watching this run can’t imagine the madness you had going through it
yeah it was def one of the most maddening runs, pun intended lol

For Mogh you could have tried after Elden beast at higher lvl and used starlight shards wich give a total of 1200 fp if you use all 10 u can carry. Also offhanding the frenzied seal still gives the buff allowing u to use a better one in main hand to cast with.
I did think about going full 99 in a few stats just to try for fun, starlight shards would have helped with mana but mana wasn't really the primary concern. As far as off handing the seal, I hadn't actually considered that, but I didn't let myself use golden vow so I am not sure if I would have let myself do that haha
14:33 your just tickling him? This reminds me of the phrase you used during the whip run. "That'll cost him extra". Sorry for cracking up laughing.
lol there was a hint of that joke in there, because lets face it I would be doing more damage by just throwing slight damp tissue paper at him
Wonder is they'll ever buff Madness for PvE? Maybe add a couple more spells? Idk, I just like it thematically
That would be cool, idk how they would balance it, having full madness proc on bosses would be kinda broken, but maybe similar to the sleep stagger?
4:40 THANK YOU!!! I'm glad someone else is pointing out how dumb it is that its just a Leonine Misbegotten and not a Misbegotten Crusader wielding the Grafted Black Greatsword
it really is strange, I wonder why they did that
it would have been cool to see you use vykes spear and it could have helped with the fights you felt weren't doable. either way, loved the video ! your humor is amazing
p.s. I think a vyke cosplay run where you start with dragon lighting and switch to frenzy flame would be really cool :]
I thought about using his spear, but I didn't want to accidently hit something with the weapon (during the ash of war) because then its...mostly madness only ya know haha
Maybe one day I'll do a vyke playthrough!

There is a helmet that lowers incantations fp cost, the talisman that lowers your hp and the fp cost of every spell, and starlight shards (many of them around the world), that could be helpful in the Mohg fight. For healing there are some yellow stones that are more effective at healing frenzied flame characters

Or, more likely, this:
Mountaintops are one of the later gamr areas, it had much less dungeons, but every dungeon there is much more complicated than most dungeons in other areas.
@@DoomWolfOfficial Oh I agree it’s weird *that* they don’t all use the swords they drop of course ^^
And thanks for confirming my suspicions, I dabble in calculator levels of coding but even to me it didn’t seem like it should be that much effort to swap a model around, though to be fair for the GO GS they also gave the mob a few more moves. But like even then, the grafted sword has no oddities that’s require adding any moves, and the ruined GS only has one move that’s special and they probably could’ve just repurpose the player’s animation I gander
@@almightykars9350 Lorewise it doesn’t really make any sense that a crucible knight would come help a random misbegotten, if that was true we’d expect a lot less slave misbegotten ^^
My best attempt at a rational for this, lorewise, is that since the misbegottens used to be not crazy, as we can know thanks to edgar’ and irina’s dialogues, and since radahn was a general of the erd tree and a fan of godfrey, he probably took this crucible knight with him when he betrayed leyndell and the leonine was a misbegotten he’s admitted in his ranks because he was strong and was « on theme » for his army (not saying this consciously affected his decision to be clear, moreso it must’ve felt right to hire a leonine misbegotten when he and his idol are lion themed so much).
But yeah gameplay wise it’s just a pain and not really a fight that’s worth anything :/
Did anyone else see Renala getting weird animation when hit at 11:07 ? is she getting effected by Frenzy buildup?
I don't...know what that is. I don't think she can be affected by frenzy even only a stagger, so I'm not sure what it is
Started watching you after your Ditto video. Since then I've gone and watched all your Elden Ring challenge videos and they are all great!
I also love how you put in CC for us hard of hearing/deaf folks. Thanks man! And keep up the great work!
Thanks! Glad you like the videos :)
No problem, It isn't that much extra work to make them and I know some people like them and other people need them (the amount of times Premiere thinks "Radagon is something like 'rattigan'" is crazy though lol)
The frenzy flame incarnations are actually really good, idk what you're talking about. One is a sniper rifle, two of the others break bosses poise fairly easily.
me, who used them exclusively and hardly saw any poise breaks (and if I did didn't have a follow up) "guess I was playing wrong" lol
@@DoomWolfOfficial Im pretty sure you were, I exclusively only has these spells.
