Thank you for explaining how to determine how many wedges/petals are needed for the various Dresden Plates. I am currently trying to make a Dresden quilt for my first Grandbaby and wanted to use 16, instead of 20 petals.

The quilting in the Dresden quilt on the wall is there some sort of template for that and can it be done on your home machine?

That was done on a long arm quilting machine with a computerized pattern. You can do something similar on your home machine either free motion or using one of those free motion templates such as what Angela Walters has or Westalee. Hope this helps.
