Peace and Good Kevin: Thanks for the video you saved my family from a cold shower. straight to the point, you earned my subscription, kudos from Boston, Massachusetts.
Thanks so much for this simple well explained tutorial. I just did this following your step by step instructions and it worked. Had to do it 3 times but it’s working. Saved myself $225 reapair/ service call from the furnace company.
Kevin this morning you saved my bacon. I woke up to a 59 degree house and my furnace blinking just like yours. In a panic I tried to reset 3 times and it would not kick on. I have never bled the fuel line before, because I'd been good about keeping our oil tank filled. I guess some air got in the line this last time I filled it. Thank you SO MUCH for this video. You're an absolute hero. A quick bleed for like, 4 seconds and 3 resets got it kicked back on!

Kevin, my first youtube comment ever... thank you so much!!! We ran out of oil. The fuel delivery came, but they didn't say the pump needed to be primed. They also didn't say that they would prime the pump as a complimentary service (very nice of them). We were out for the day. So we came home to a freezing cold house and faced a $150 emergency call out fee to have the repairman come out and restart the boiler. After watching your 6 min video, it took me 2 mins to prime and restart the boiler. You're a lifesaver!

I never run out of oil but this has happened to my furnace once already and I was charged almost $200 after already paying to top off my tank 🤦🏼♀️. We got a dog recently who is sensitive to cold and the poor thing was shaking so we knew we had to fix it ourselves and couldn’t afford to wait for someone to come fix it for us. Your video gave us the confidence to do it ourselves and we got our heat running again! Thank you for taking the time to make this video - this has helped so many people and is so important especially during this past year when people are strapped for funds. Hope you have merry holidays!

Spectacular video, Kevin - short and to the point. Like the others commenting, I had a furnace that was blowing cold air. Found out that I had run out of heating fuel. Topped it up with 10 gals then followed this step-by-step. Worked like a charm (I had A LOT OF AIR to bleed out). Thank you for making it very simple, as well as warning about the 3 button presses, as it took me 4-5 times and I had hit the button once before it attempted to bleed it.
Thank you thank you thank you! After spending so much $$$ to fill our tank you saved us the bleed fee because we did it ourselves. We didn’t do it right the first time so telling us about resetting was so helpful. 🙏
GREAT KNOWLEDGE...!!! THANK YOU.. DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID AND THE FAMILY IS BACK IN BUSINESS.. RAN OUT ON A SUNDAY!! WHICH ALSO HAPPENED TO BE THE COLDEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR.. THIS WILL HOLD US OVER UNTIL OUR MONDAY FILL UP.. APPRECIATE IT!!!!!
Thank you for this video. The detailed explanation walked me through the process and I got my furnace going again after I ran out of oil. The detail you mentioned about having to bleed and restart a few times was especially helpful as I there was a lot of air to bleed out and I would've just assumed that the filter was clogged if it the flame didn't take the first time.
Big thumbs up! I have that very same model and your method worked perfectly! I can't believe how easy that was and how much I saved by doing it myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks, Kevin from Hillsboro, NH! That really saved my butt. I knew you had to be from northern Mass from the way you talked, LOL. I'm a former Lowell resident, born and raised.
Worked exactly as you said. I believe mine was an older model. Had one single red button. Held it for about 45seconds to restart and pushed fan to manual mode
Thank you in advance saved our family of 5. I would have had to wait a week for a heating company. Very detailed and to the point 👉 again thank you from us to you
Prior to watching this great video, I had no heat for several weeks because I could not figure out what was wrong with the furnace after it had ran out of fuel. I can't tell you how great it is to have heat back.
You're the man.. I figured this out on an older Beckett furnace. I also had to do it about 9 or 10 times and was thinking something was wrong but then it started kicking in
THANKS for this friendly video, Kevin. (Yes, the first "bleed and restart" after-hours weekend emergency house call here in NJ required less than ten minutes of the plumber's time but was billed at two hours at the after-hours rate, for a total of $320, so your opening comments about saving money are "relevant," to put it mildly.) *** ONE *** comment for users of Energy Kinetics' "System 2000" computerized oil-fired hot-water boilers, which are the bright-yellow sheet-metal cabinets with a projecting "airbox" on the front side of the panel and with the red "Energy Manager" computerized control component on top of the yellow cabinet: Your video "caught my eye" because it shows a Beckett burner (Series "A" and "AF") which is similar to our Beckett "AFG" series oil-burner. Our burner is also equipped with the same Beckett "GeniSys" restart component (with the ridiculous "LED panel" restart "button" which nobody would ever recognize is intended to be pushed until they see your video or any of the other videos about this topic: the so-called "button" isn't "mechanical." It doesn't "depress" when it's pushed. It gives NO "tactile" or audible feed-back...) (The EK "airbox" detaches from the front of the boiler cabinet and pulls forward, off a bracket, to expose the burner components when stainless steel clasps are released on the sides of the "box.") The Beckett burner DOES instantly try to restart on the EK1-F boiler **** BUT ONLY IF **** the emergency power switch which is installed on the left side of the "Energy Manager" digital panel is turned *** OFF *** for ten seconds and then turned back *** ON *** BEFORE the GeniSys Restart "button" is "pushed." The EK1-F boiler is "managed" by the computerized "Energy Manager" component, and I assume it's necessary for the Energy Manager software "to clear its memory" first, in order to get out of its shut-down mode, before the manager will allow the Beckett GeniSys Restart process to work as you demonstrate. You stress that the emergency power switch should be toggled to "ON" before any attempt is made to bleed and to restart the system but, in the case of the Energy Kinetics equipment, it's *** ESSENTIAL *** that the power switch be toggled to OFF for at least ten seconds, then toggled back to ON before your guidance is followed the rest of the way. (Yes, of course, once the power is toggled off and back on for the EK1-F boiler, power should remain ON for normal operation. The brief "off / on" toggling seems only needed to clear the "Energy Manager's" memory.) We're just down the road from Energy Kinetics' Lebanon, NJ headquarters and manufacturing site, here in Hunterdon County, NJ. I've read that these unusual bright-yellow computerized boilers, with the spiral combustion chambers, are popular where winter heating is critical, such as in the northern part of the "Lower 48" in the US, in Canada, and in Alaska. The equipment works beautifully and it IS fuel efficient.

Thank you thank you thank you! After spending so much $$$ to fill our tank you saved us the bleed fee because we did it ourselves. We didn’t do it right the first time so telling us about resetting was so helpful. 🙏

Very welcome happy to help stay warm
Thank you for this video. The detailed explanation walked me through the process and I got my furnace going again after I ran out of oil. The detail you mentioned about having to bleed and restart a few times was especially helpful as I there was a lot of air to bleed out and I would've just assumed that the filter was clogged if it the flame didn't take the first time.
Very welcome
Big thumbs up! I have that very same model and your method worked perfectly! I can't believe how easy that was and how much I saved by doing it myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Your all very welcome happy to help. Stay warm
Prior to watching this great video, I had no heat for several weeks because I could not figure out what was wrong with the furnace after it had ran out of fuel. I can't tell you how great it is to have heat back.
I happy to help stay warm and good bless
You're the man.. I figured this out on an older Beckett furnace. I also had to do it about 9 or 10 times and was thinking something was wrong but then it started kicking in
Welcome happy to help
THANKS for this friendly video, Kevin. (Yes, the first "bleed and restart" after-hours weekend emergency house call here in NJ required less than ten minutes of the plumber's time but was billed at two hours at the after-hours rate, for a total of $320, so your opening comments about saving money are "relevant," to put it mildly.)
*** ONE *** comment for users of Energy Kinetics' "System 2000" computerized oil-fired hot-water boilers, which are the bright-yellow sheet-metal cabinets with a projecting "airbox" on the front side of the panel and with the red "Energy Manager" computerized control component on top of the yellow cabinet: Your video "caught my eye" because it shows a Beckett burner (Series "A" and "AF") which is similar to our Beckett "AFG" series oil-burner. It gives NO "tactile" or audible feed-back...) (The EK "airbox" detaches from the front of the boiler cabinet and pulls forward, off a bracket, to expose the burner components when stainless steel clasps are released on the sides of the "box.")
The Beckett burner DOES instantly try to restart on the EK1-F boiler **** BUT ONLY IF **** the emergency power switch which is installed on the left side of the "Energy Manager" digital panel is turned *** OFF *** for ten seconds and then turned back *** ON *** BEFORE the GeniSys Restart "button" is "pushed."
The EK1-F boiler is "managed" by the computerized "Energy Manager" component, and I assume it's necessary for the Energy Manager software "to clear its memory" first, in order to get out of its shut-down mode, before the manager will allow the Beckett GeniSys Restart process to work as you demonstrate. The brief "off / on" toggling seems only needed to clear the "Energy Manager's" memory.)
We're just down the road from Energy Kinetics' Lebanon, NJ headquarters and manufacturing site, here in Hunterdon County, NJ. I've read that these unusual bright-yellow computerized boilers, with the spiral combustion chambers, are popular where winter heating is critical, such as in the northern part of the "Lower 48" in the US, in Canada, and in Alaska. The equipment works beautifully and it IS fuel efficient.
Very welcome
