Considering the box artwork problems and that blue wagon, I wonder if people were sacked over these mistakes. It's visually a stunning play set which needs a little bit more thought and clever design to be a true winner.
Anyway I think they used that blue plastic wagon because it's cheaper. It's just a solid plastic one color piece which would be much cheaper to produce. (I don't do reviews on this channel but I have another one set up to do reviews when i get money for thomas stuff, I can message you that if I win)
my 4 year old has been watching your reviews for ages. he finds them himself and watches them over and over. And is not bugging me for a shark set lol. He loves your reviews keep it up. :)
We have owned this Thomas Shark Exhibit set and for almost 2 years and it was _completely_ ignored. After watching your video here, my kids now think it's the best set ever and have played with it for days. Maybe they were just didn't know what to do with it (something I pondered as well after buying it so long ago). YEARS it sat in the toy box untouched. Thank you for helping me get some of my money's worth out of this toy!
Katherine Berlier In my home my son really never keyed into this playset, I spoke about this is another video. I think the playsets which are based on more realistic aspects of Sodor work best, but every child is different. Sadly sometimes the toys which look impressive in shop don't play out that well. This set was awkward and had some strange box artwork going on. I'm still waiting for my son to play with this again, but I think at 5 he may be a bit old for the take N plays now.
My son without a doubt watches your channel as much as he can he absolutely loves it he's 2 and a half he comes screeching out across the hall when he hears the fail bit I personally can't stand Thomas lol Iits all he talks about but thank you foraging something my son adores :-)
Those who have glowing reviews also tend to be strongly connected to sites selling toys, in essence they are producing ad's and not reviews. Do you see this set as having zero problems?
The funny part about Flynn is if he was made just a little bit smaller he would start to work on many play sets, the ladder on the back is the main part which gets caught up. But he's also an awkward model on tight track curves as well. It's like whoever drew him up over sized him by 10%, but hey it's only a toy and kids can't complain.

This playset has some strange problems, yet why is it left to me to speak the truth. I'm pretty sure a huge majority of my audience enjoy the nitty gritty and sometimes awkward details I dig for in a review. An inferior review on youtube has no balance. That is a very good point about the wagon. VERY good point. Cost cutting for the sheer hell of it? Why not - as you say - just use an existing wagon tooling than making a new plastic one?
Hi there The blue truck must have been a cost cutting item so they didn't have spend alot of money, time and resources on building a new exclusive truck for it. Maybe the set should have come with Cranky the Crane (or just a simple crane) as it would give a better reason for Thomas (or his friends) a reason to be up there and not just magically appear... This Take n Play set is, in my opinion, a fail playset. No relation to the TV show what so ever and no wheels on the truck??? What??? Lol. When I first saw this in Target I was really surprised at that truck. I still don't understand the whole idea of that blue wagon. I think I'd use that $50 to buy the other much better Take n Play items. :)
Good idea their trackmaster standard gauge and take 'n' play narrow gauge I like it. I see you have yet to kill that bird maybe see how well it glides from a height.

9:35 yo I had that set too, I believe it was based on “Thomas and the Great Discovery” (a movie that gave me nightmares cuz of those Thomas in the cave on the water scenes that were so freaking dark and spoopy) I still have the rolling stock and Thomas, but the set itself has disappeared, then again, I guess that’s for the best because my sister painted my truck’s face with permanent marker and now he looks like a diesel serial killer

Just on the gopro3 black and the freeze out glitches problems it has, did I ever go back to those channels which had glowing reviews of the product...no. I just blew over $400 on a dog camera. After some digging around about gopro3 I'm certainly not alone. Yet the rushed to youtube review to be first still has huge appeal, too bad to all those who made a decision because of that suck up review. Maybe I should do a review on that camera to get some real facts out there.

I used to have this set when i was a kid!
Because it's a playset with some issues that makes for an interesting review. The shark eye candy here is sadly not matched with overall play appeal.
It's so small and short there would barely be any difference, look where Hank is or Hoot and Toot...thats the danger zone, right under the teeth.

That little blue truck is smaller than the old Take-Along truck. And Thomas looks like a front loader because he's careing the truck on his back end.
