    Solid examination, Bairnt. Thanks for that. There is a lot to unpack. As I stated with the Setup video, there are so many components and little mechanics to this game that AP is looming on the horizon. However, I must say that the biggest hurdle, the Domains, were explained very well by you and it helped clarify a lot. I still see a problem with players forgetting many of the effects that all the different monsters, locations, and side effects have and also to devise any kind of working strategy through the chaos of events occurring. But maybe that's part of the game's charm; allowing players to get a little confused and panicked as they change tactics every round just to survive.
    I'm still undecided so I'll stick around to see how combat goes and the moving around locations (on Emily's inner mind board as well). I trust that Diemension Games will clear up the iconography and perhaps up the font and graphic design a bit, but the main concern I still have is: will I get brain burn from all the bookkeeping or can I just 'wing it' and enjoy the story? To be continued...

      This is a great comment and covers many topics of this game. Your right many mechanics, trying to remember everything, and still enjoying the game . It will interesting how much changes, if anything, during production. This game has so many neat things going for it. Story, coop, interesting skill check mechanic, and combat has its own differences from more games. Also yes I will demo that conscious realm board I the next video.     Thanks for the video. I am excited about this also. It looks a little daunting with all the components and footprint...but I am backing it at “All In” regardless. I am hoping that the gameplay reaches an intuitive flow because the theme is really a huge draw for me.

      Thanks for the great comment. I agree the theme is a big draw. It may look daunting but after a turn or two just following the the mental trackers the enemy AI is quite straight forward and then you can enjoy the story as it unfolds. The wild cards Iv noticed are the malformations they sure are interesting. I’m all in as well. This game is going to be sweet. Thanks for watching 😃😃👍

    My main problem with this game is what you already experienced. The symbols... On the cards it's really hard to distinguish them.

      I agree the symbols are hard to make out sometimes. This may be addressed as the game progresses through development. I am planing on discussing this topic with the designer. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍

      They just boned up Celestial. They think this will be done in a few months, but they are STILL developing parts of the story.

    So between this and tainted grail what’s your take on the one to back as far as story and solo play ?

      That’s a tough question. Mainly because one is out and available and the other is going through major changes to make it more streamlined. Dawn of madness will be far darker then tainted grail. Not sure if any of this helps but thats my thoughts. I have tainted grail and am looking forward to doing a playthough if it, and when dawn of madness avives I will be doing a playthrough of that as well. Dawn of madness will not be shipping anytime soon though still in production. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍

    A shame that there isn't more showing how coop works in this game. I'm struggling to understand how the outsider Wanderers contribute to the gameplay with multiple players.

    The use of domain, sentience and color in this game is extremely confusing and the poorly defined symbols on the board and dice do not help in the slightest. Having so many ways to test, and modify testing, does not make for a better game - it just makes it more likely the player will infringe on the rules or simply do things wrong. Using multiple, badly printed, icons on the cards means players will spend more time working out what the cards mean rather than playing the game. Mechanically this game is confusing, overly complex and physically fiddly.

      totally agree. I pledged the first day one buck with a plan to potentially go all in, as I truly liked the topic and the minnies. however, after watching the second video of setup and basic game components, I have second thoughts.. overcomplex gamepley does not lead to immersion with the story. but, i will wait for some more playthroughs to make my final decision. after all, by the time PM opens I am sure there will be more videos such as this which will allow me to decide whether this is my cup of tea.

      I can totally understand what you mean. Those are all valid points. I’m hoping as the game gets produced that’s more of these concerns will be addressed. There is a great idea behind this game with some cool mechanics but they can be confusing at this point in production. Thanks for watching. 😃😃👍

      A good game can have complex mechanics, but after a few plays they must become natural and intuitive so the game becomes enjoyable. When the mechanics have a lot of upkeep and unnecessary complexity they just get in the way and make for frustrating game play. Games like Arkham Horror LCG does this very well, with thematic testing, storying and complex mechanics that blend into the background as you learn them.
