Love the video format! Just got my Kickstarter (All in) in the mail yesterday. Looking forward to trying this out this weekend, hopefully painting them up soon, too. Subbed!
Great review and format. You did a brief overview of the rules and review in a well organized manner in ~6 minutes. Also your opinions, whether good or bad, have a lean towards objectivity as you effectively use comparisons to other games or mechanics to quickly convey your rationale. Finally, top marks for vocal cadence, production quality and editing-you made optimum use of your film medium by narrating your point while simultaneously cross-cutting into close-up insert shots displaying said boon or flaw. Meta-Reviewer Judgement: Subscribed!* Cheers! *MRJ subject to change since I’ve yet to play this game. Should I discover a major oversight upon gameplay, I’ll be sure to adjust accordingly.
Lol, thank you for the analysis of the format. Glad you liked it overall. And while my opinion is only my own, I still hope I gave a good feel for the best and weakest points the game has to offer!
Great job on the video! One question - you mentioned that the variety of monsters is excellent in the base game alone. Are you including the stretch goal monsters in what you consider the “base game”? Such as the monsters that come with Uncounted Horrors, Fathoms Deep, Fevered Dreams, and Expectant Terrors as listed on the KS page? Or do you mean the basic core box alone has great variety and those KS stretch goals (free expansions in some cases) only further add to it?
Excellent question! There are 8 basic enemies in the core game, so you’ll see them pretty frequently. But they have great variety among them, with spawners, debuffers, etc. Additionally, they made the cool move of including a basic form of each boss enemy, so you really have 11 enemies to play with in the base game, not 8. If you add in the expansions you discussed, it gets absurd. It’s something like 30 enemy types, and they have pretty major differences. But I’d still say you get great value with just the core set.
Nice review. I just got my order in and there's a LOT of stuff! Apparently some people are having some possible issues with card quality. Did you have any?
No, besides the art maybe being a bit dark at times. I had a few of the tiny devour tokens I needed to cut out with a utility knife to prevent tearing, but otherwise quality was fine to good.
Looks like a mixture of video games (Dead Space mostly) and Arkham Horror. A lot of rehashed mechanics. It's doesn't look better than video, nor board games, so I'd skip buying it.

Welcome to the channel! I’m enjoying this one more and more. We just did a podcast on it too, coming out this Sunday.
@@OneStopCoopShop Awesome, will check it out!
Looks cool! Nice review. Looking forward to getting this.
Thank you so much!
THANK YOU... for keeping your review clear and concise; consider me subscribed
Jason 360 thanks so much! Glad you found the format useful :)
Great review, dude! Nicely paced, well spoken, and to the point. My only gripe is the splashy and frequent transition. Keep up the good work!
Sorry about that! It’s the only way I’ve been able to actually keep these to 5 minutes :)
I love the transitions - I can fast forward to the exact spot I want! Keep up the awesome five in five reviews! My new favorite format

Great review as always! Are you gonna do a playthrough of this?
Check the channel! It’s already there ;)
And so it is... thanks 😁
Great review style!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome, I'd love to see more sci-fi dungeon crawler type games like this!
And I love that it’s underwater, and not in space!
nice and brief review👍
chris chang thanks!
what board games fighting are behind you? whats there title?
Street masters you mean? עמית שמואלביץ
@@OneStopCoopShop yeah thanks, and thanks for the review :)
Is there a campaign or is it a series of scenarios.
In the core game, the 8 scenarios tell one story, but there is no character progression.
Some expansions have more of a campaign to them

Why does Arthur Weyland look like MCU Captain America? Lol
That’s even funnier since he is clearly inspired by the evil Alien corporation.

Totally agree on the influences. Disagree that it’s a rehash and not worth a purchase.
