A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ TH-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of TH-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on TH-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This TH-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

Yes! Auto tune (1997) was not invented yet when this song was recorded (1987).

“Faith” by George Michael is one of the best songs ever recorded. Upbeat, great hook, feel good song! Check it! And another personal favorite for his vocals on it is “If You We’re My Woman”

George didn’t use auto tune. His voice is perfection. His life voice is even more perfect and amazing than his recorded voice. You have to discover George’s entire catalog. The man sold over 115000,000 records in his lifetime. He was one of pop’s greatest voices. Listen to him and Aretha sing their duet. Maybe start with that and then discover the rest because you will be blown away.

Love listening to George Michael, saw him in concert in Europe a couple of times. And Tania Harcourt-Cooz Was just stunningly beautiful. The two of them together make this one of my favorite music videos of all time.

George had a long career and was the most played artist on UK radio for a period of 25 years straight. He won many prestigious awards Including six Ivor Norvelle awards for songwriting. George Michael had one of the best blues voices of the last century. As others have mentioned, his "Faith" album is legendary, and one of my top 10 favorite of all time. It's pure unadulterated passion from beginning to end. (PS: I actually looked like her in the 80's :D)

You should react to George Michael's songs Faith and Freedom 90, and you should do them back to back, and in that order. You should definitely check out Faith before Freedom 90 because there are elements from the Faith video referenced in the Freedom 90 video, it will make a lot more sense to you that way. I want Your Sex is another great song by him, too.
Anything from the 'Faith' is awesome! This might be controversial but I put 'Faith' and 'The Chronic' as 2 of the best album's at that time... Chronic came out a few years after but still they both were in a category by themselves!!!

But George is like the BeeGees. There are literally too many songs to reccomend. Truly one of the greatest talents in Pop music history and one who effortlessly transcended the racial barriers that White artists often find themselves boxed into.
I am 66 years old and when I was in my teens, we loved the guys who had their ear pierced. Then it became popular for you to have your nose pierced and the tip of your ear pierced. I came along during the flower child and hippy generation. It was cool. Chicago, Santana, Earth,Wind,and Fire, La Belle, and The Carpenters, we loved. I loved Karen Carpenter, she was the first woman drummer I had ever seen, I have named a few groups just to indicate some of which we loved though there were many. I came along during the time when the music style had significantly changed. Motown. Chicago. The Stylistic, and so on. Thought I would share a piece of my history with you.

I think auto tune was invented about a decade after this song...
The only thing close to Auto-Tune was to do multiple takes and literally cut and paste the best parts.
No auto tune. His pure unmatched vocals. I saw him in concert and his live voice was impeccable. You could even hear the little breaths that he would take in between his words which revealed how he sang everything and had an amazing range
