Norman Blake has spent many years fronting and writing for Scottish indie group Teenage Fanclub. His move to Canada several years ago saw him team up with Joe Pernice, the creative mind behind Scud Mountain Boys, Chappaquiddick Skyline and The Pernice Brothers. The pair are in Australia to record an album together as The New Mendicants.
