Not basketball IQ, he’s just got experience and actually knows wtf he’s talking about. People hyping up wemby don’t know shit about basketball, and the rest are just riding the wave. Unfortunately the ones drafting guys like wemby have just as much ball experience as a high schooler. Same thing as the disconnect between office workers and upper management.

Most of San Antonio's past draft picks had been good to excellent in the past 20+ years. Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Murray, Leonard, derrick White, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, Cory Joseph, George Hill, Luis Scola, Kyle Anderson, Tiaggo Splitter. I mean, the Spurs really don't have the luxury to pick lottery picks in the past 20 years, and everytime they get a top 1-10 it turns out to be a star.

I think Draymond has good points on Wemby, I think at the rim on both ends and on the fastbreak is where he’s really going to stand out. If he has the discipline to know when to pull the handle out or the three, and put the ball in the guards hands, hell do just fine.

It doesn't say anything. Wemby played in a professional league last year, against real physical professional players, unlike 90% of the rest of the draft who played against college players at best. So yes, after a season in a professional environment when you are this young, you need some rest to start the next season the best way pssible.
