When Pg said he deflects on his turnovers I instantly thought about him passing it to the refs against the lakers then looked at luke like he was wrong 😂😂
PG and Tyrese get along so well. So cool to see the different perspectives from them both. Tyrese now being the man in Indiana, talking with PG who literally owned Indiana 10 years ago.
Crazy part is it’s probably only bad in his eyes but elite to everyone else. A professionals idea of being good at something is completely different than ours
Thank you for taking the time to admit this stuff. People think when its played at a pro level theres absolutely no space for error. I always thought taking off on a layup the same way with the same gather was hindering my game. Appreciate the honesty
Paul George is so likeable, I love how he turned around those douchebags who freely called him Pandemic P and shit like that, while he’s been one of greatest wing players from this generation.
@@cortezttd6225no he hasn’t. Lol. No one questioned if he was good or not. He just is either hurt or inconsistent in the postseason. When he son he’s on but it’s just not frequent enough. And the jokes at that point were justified cause he was terrible that series.

Great back cutters from what I’ve seen are players who aren’t great shooters as the defender isn’t too worried about them and the others are the ones who have susceptible dribbles in tight spaces.. but those guys need to have great feel for the game to even obtain that skill.. Steph, Klay and Wiggins are the exception and theyre in a system that focuses on how to cut well
Lol every team in the league knows established players weaknesses. They know all teams plays and calls. In the NBA it's all about who can execute and who can improvise.

@@TheIcemanthomas it’s cuz he plays off a lot so ofc he would be use to it but someone like cp3 who use to having the ball play making and initiating it’s hard
back cutting is the art of reading body language. it's not just when he looks away, but when he's ball watching. a good defender has his head on a swivel; you gotta wait until he's mesmerized. maybe play it off like you're just there for the kickout 3 so he stops paying attention to you. or wait until the action is coming his way so he gets distracted.
It’s crazy that professionals can have such big flaws. Same with Jaylen Brown apparently. Really goes to show that great and attentive coaches are everything. Still all amazing players though.
I'm pretty sure it's hard for PG13 to be get free off of cuts because well he is a super star. If you give up multiple cuts to PG for easy dunks, you gonna get yourself cut lol. You better have 100% focus on superstars at all times. PG clearly done his homework on learning how to cut but the top defenders that are guarding him aren't gonna get caught napping.
@@_ripVanWinkle_ I would agree but PG has the ball a lot anyway. He’s been in the league for 13 years. I don’t think it matters much especially if he’s coming on here saying it. 😂
I feel you on the pump fake. I don't get it. Easier under the basket, but around the perimeter I can't feel the rhythm to make a move off a pump fake. Some people pump fake with one hand on the ball. HTF?
Cutting is the most difficult fundamental to learn. Because kids mostly see highlight. And when you play pick up games. Even if you can cut. But your teammate cant see or get you the ball? You stop cutting.
I think PG has a good pump fake, in OKC he got Gobert up which was no called horrible reffing and I think he got an and1 on butler.. he got a nice pump one dribble to the side jumper
There’s a whole lot of wings today that don’t know how to cut to save their lives and it’s sad to see. That’s how I came up learning to play the two. I grew up when you expected ur guards and wings to move offball. Very few of them do it today. The traditional off guard position is few and far between cause coaches just don’t teach it anymore unless ur a shooter like klay, curry, etc.
One of my best friends can’t make a simple pass to a man in scoring position. He has to do something to muck it up. He is 50% at best passing to an open man for a layup. He would be a perfect guard if he could do that. Another of my friends can’t jump stop correctly. He would take two steps and just jumps with the ball. And would be ready to fight at the call. Luckily he gave it up
This is the rare case, with PG, he’s that unfortunate dude who tries to do a backdoor cut, and gets sniffed out immediately even though teams shouldn’t be concerned about the backdoor cut. Then a team with one or two very prominent backdoor cutters, and those mfers get away with it every time even though teams should be extra weary of it 😂

Literally.
