I love this so much! I always buy jars like this and spend hours looking at every single bead. I love making them into new bracelets and such. I can't believe you were able to look through it so quickly.

If you separate all the small findings and then run a magnet over them you might find more scrap gold and silver.

You have a skilled hand and trained eye. I like that you think outside of the box and definitely know the value of the beads. Great video I like these unboxing ones. Good idea for Blue Bus Dave’s eBay store. I just can’t say enough about your knowledge and skills and your good heart. Keep being Dave✌️

I recognize that barrel of jewelry as a jewelry makers findings along with new beads and old jewelry for the parts. I have 2 storage crates full of a lot of the same type of stuff. I didn't buy any acrylic or plastic beads tho. I have had most of it since the early 2000's, when I started making jewelry. Back then you could actually buy silver and gold findings and wire at the craft stores. Not any more. Beads have gone up in price quite a lot since then. Even some of the kits, from Target, had sterling ear wires and wire along with natural and semi-precious stones, back then. I also used to go to a salvage store, Dirt Cheap, and buy their jewelry, which would be all tangled up in a huge 'jewelry ball', for 20-30.00. They won't sell it like that anymore. I even got some 10k and semi-precious and pearl jewelry, like that. It would take me months to untangle it. I liked to do it, it was relaxing. I even still have a small wad that I could never untangle. There were 1000's of pieces of jewelry in them, some broken, but mostly unbroken. Necklaces, earrings, pins, and bracelets. I bought vintage at garage sales for the findings.

Teena Pittman you can still buy gold and silver earring hooks, clasps, etc. at stores like Michael’s and AC Moore for like 15 dollars or so...

Fun video! I've bought some lots like this and you never know what treasures you'll find. I make fashion type jewelry and am a crafter as a hobby, and there were lots of great items in there. I need to go buy another lot now. Lol. Thank you. 👍😊

When I have had plastic jewellery stuff that's really of no value... I chuck them onto my white pebble stone path, the sun catches them and reflects them back. Lots of colours and looks amazing. I always try to recycle. Everything has a use.

I would estimate that your initial outlay will be easily gained by gabbi on her jewelry table at the flea market. I saw loads of individual pieces that will have fallen off the pins and brooches missing small items. Well done dave, another fascinating video with you teaching us what to look for on beads and earrings etc.

One time several years ago I bought a huge lot of donated costume jewelry and there were some strung ugly looking round silver color beads. They were fairly large and it looked like they had very serious dirt or mold between the beads. I put them in a sonic jewelry cleaner and let them sit. The next day I discover that the ugly silver beads had disintegrated and what was left were cut glass beads. Every bead was a little bit different but the same cut. It looked to me like someone was maybe learning to cut glass beads? They were defiantly cut the beads were a clear dark ruby color but when you held them up and looked into the hole where the beading thread I cut went through you could clearly see that part was clear just i very tiny clear circle that could only be seen when held up to the light. The rest was cut dark ruby in color with out any bubbles. Have you ever seen any beads like that? Do you have any idea why some one would cover these beautiful beads up with a ugly mottled silver coating? I wish I still had one or a picture. It was such a surprising find.
