For my use (professional luthier) this is one of the top picks. Dust collector coming from above, leds, the precision, quietness, overall features. Way better imo than a festool.

would this outfit be powerful enough to use on a sled to thickness a few mm off timber and resin. The timber and resin area would only be about 320mm x 200mm. and if so what would be the best planing bit to use

I own 4 different routers. For small and medium jobs I would choose always Dewalt. I'm very happy with it.

On the front of the plunge base, what are the two smaller diameter holes made for (7mm)?
