Chloe Chua = Ling Ling! Chloe has awesome hands (her ears work great too, of course). Great tone, great touch, perfect intonation (as much as I can tell), and bowing technique that I will never come close to. Much respct Chloe Sensei.
This episode is so well done. I was overwhelmed by the extraordinary talent of young artists introduced in this episode. Watching 9 years old Wilson Liu playing piano almost made me 😭
Love the music, Chloe!!! Yes, all thanks to parents, mentors etc and all the hard work and many years, days and hours of practices that Chloe has put in. 😊

I really hope that the day is fast approaching when Chloe will either be loaned or gifted a Guarneri del Gesu or a Strad with comparable sound to a del Gesu in the lower registers. She has been able to get limpid purity in the middle registers and diamond brilliance in the high notes out of the Guadagnini she's been using, especially in Sinfonia Concertante, and that is great for Mozart's operatic sound. When Chloe begins performing the romantic concertos which require a greater range of musical expression, such as Tchaikovsky, Beethoven or Brahms, IMHO a del Gesu or the right Strad will do better justice to her superb playing. Really wish I had the contacts or the funds to make this happen for her.
I hope it's a Guarneri. My violin teacher says it best: The Guarneris are great solo instruments, the Strads are great orchestral instruments. And before too long, she's be able to afford one on her own. Sarah Chang bought her Guarneri with the proceeds of her albums when she was 14. She still has it to this day. ..Joe
The male violinist is grimacing away and Chloe is cool, calm and collected as usual. It's just another walk in the park for her. Brava, Sensei Chloe. We love you. Chloe's been a virtuoso for years. I'm not sure why they'd be so disparaging and say she may become one. Sacrilegious.
That "male violinist" is The legendary Scott Yoo, LOL. This is the problem when all Classical music you're getting is from TwoSet and thinking your an expert lol.
@@MaverickZ007 Scott Yoo is an extremely accomplished musician, but he is not "legendary" (and Chloe has indeed been a "virtuoso" violinist for years).

They have had her, very capably, but prematurely and perhaps with a somewhat derivative interpretation, playing the big romantic concertos. Here, in Mozart, we hear a much more mature and individual artist.
Chloe's performance of Mozart #3 is not available on YT (although it will be coming out soon on CD and seems to on the PBS DVD). I agree chloe Chua needs better management. She barely performs with orchestras outside of Singapore when she should be playing with the top orchestras in the world.

There is nothing derivative about Chloe's Mendelssohn or Bruch (or Chausson)!
