    Great review! I just bought this one in the UK from Halfords, it was £420 but I think it worth it. Great dash cam!

    Hello, I live in Germany and bought a SIM card from Vodafone in Germany. Is this compatible with the 770X 2ch Lte, if so how do I connect this SIM card to the dashcam?

    I just bought the Nexar Pro Dash Cam for my daughter, but I soon discovered that in order to have the camera automatically start when you start the car you had to have a Blue Tooth connection to the iPhone. My daughter uses Blue Tooth for listening to her songs on her cell phone on the car radio, so the Nexar Pro isn't going to work for her. Tell me if this DR750-2ch LTE requires any connection to a cell phone in order to have it start recording when the driver starts the engine (turns on the ignition). I don't want my daughter to have to do ANYTHING to start recording when she gets in her car to go somewhere.

      Any of the blackvue models that have LTE in the model name have built in cellular connection. But you do need to get a simcard with a data plan. I personally use t-mobile, they offer a 2gb plan for $10 a month. So this would allow you to receive notifications each time the car starts or shuts off. If you have it hardwired for parking mode you can even have it send notifications if it detects an impact, and will send you a screenshot of the video with a link to watch the saved clip over the cloud.

    Did you ever figure out the street fighting culprit that dented your suv outside the bar?

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, but I took the insurance check and bought decked drawers for the truck. The dent lives on.

    So, the LTE version has not the PM built in , but the X series has, without LTE ? Is it correct ?

    Thanks for the review. Is there a compatible cpl filter for this model?

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not seen any available yet or any announcement. in the past it was only 3rd party CPL filters so it might take a bit before one hits the market.

      Yes, I highly recommend Blackvue (or Thinkware) for their buffered motion detection mode. This means if it senses motion, it saves the 10-15 seconds of prebuffered footage leading up to the motion, assuring you capture a person approaching your vehicle too. I recall a video on youtube of someone keying a car getting caught by a blackvue cam. The footage was good enough to identify him.

    Can you connect this camera to the onboard diagnostics port for power?

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blackvue use to sell a OBD II power cable but it was discontinued for some reason. There use to be 3rd party options also but I don't see any available anymore. I had tested a 3rd party one and it did not power the camera in parking mode properly.

    Hi, im looking to upgrade. I’m concerned about how quick will it notify my phone if it sense motions? apparently, I wanted to catch the live event happening when it send notifications. Will it send you a notification just after few minutes of event recorded, or it’s instant? Many thanks.

      From my testing it's anywhere from seconds to 15 seconds. Sometimes it depends on network conditions. I will suggest, don't buy this model now tho, a new 750x-2ch LTE Plus model is coming out this year. I currently have an early release version and the review will be posted in the near future.

      @@integralcam Hi. Great review. Can you give me a time frame for the LTE 750 Plus model? Because I am looking into this one and wanted to buy it now. Since today I sadly have to park on the street am wanted to get myself a dashcam with parking mode and two channels. The LTE capabilities of this one are something I definitely want.

    Mine keeps saying please insert a simcard it’s not reading the Tmobile one I have.

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is odd, have you tried the tmobile card in another device? Since I posted this review I have switched to using a tmobile card and it works ok. I assume you activated the simcard as it would be telling you to activate it instead of inserting one. If you test the card in another device such as a phone or tablet it could be the camera.

    Hi! Please tell me whether the LTE module will work in other countries? For example, in Russia. Thank you in advance!

    • @integralcam

      I am not familiar with the cellular networks in Russia, I would contact Blackvue directly or check their website.

    Can I use my iPhone as a hotspot instead of using a SIM card?

    • @integralcam
      @integralcam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you could, but if you want cloud features while in parking mode you would have to leave your phone in the car and make sure it stays powered on.

      I mention that in this video, it seems to be turned off by default. i recommend checking just incase, but if its turned off its no less safe then any cellphone or laptop camera.
