Habla Englais, por favor. You are truly an artist, and your flies are very realistic. So, what are the legs made of? What's that hollow tube that you use for the body? Most importantly, however, is how do these realistic flies hold up after a few toothy brown trout? It's difficult for see how this dry fly stone would even float. But, you are talented and they are beautiful flies. If memory serves, you influenced the tying style of Markus Hoffman? His realistic work looks similar to yours.Very nice.
Hay Ruben, ken here: say I just tied your fly and out of curiosity I wanted to see if it would float. guess what happened , it sank to the bottom of my sink.I even put floatint on it. It did stay up for about 15 sec. Once the CDC got logged it sank like a rock..
Great looking stonefly. I wonder what did you use for the legs. Are adult stonefly legs that long? I am asking sincerely because I don't know. I haven't ever had the need for an adult stonefly. The nymphs usually do the trick. All the best and thanks for sharing. Sean
Thanks for that. I can watch even if I don't understand. I miss the explanation, or maybe tips that's all. Sean I have not received any email I am aware of. Send again please.
can you show me that fly floating. because that sure is alot of material and weight to the fly..and mind you that open hole on the tubing at the bend of the hook..excellent for art work though ill give you that
It floats my friend, is not a fly for strong currents, its a fly for quiet water and selective trouts, it will give you enough time to catch a trout after sink, it have foam and the body its a silicone floatant material. Best regards
I think it's surgical tubing. I get mine at the hardware store. It's a little pricey, but I could literally tie hundreds of flies with a 25 foot spool. Helps the fly to float a bit better as well.
This is the first video of yours that I have seen, and the best I’ve ever watched. Beautiful close up details. Thank you.... I subscribed
Thanks a lot Frank, best regards buddy
Espectacular y la noventa de Behetoven de fondo no desentona para nada. Felicitaciones Ruben.
