    Start under 10% of your body weight . I'm a bodybuilder and 6'5" at 260 lbs so I bought the heaviest ones they sell 28 lbs each and I only jogged 2 miles in it today and my shoulders hurt so bad it's insane . Start light or you will regret it . I'm strong as fuck and that was too much it's not just strength all that weight is on your shoulders pulling . It was also difficult too breath with that heavy plate on my chest

    • @MilitaryFitness
      @MilitaryFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You’re bang on there mate. You have to give your body time to build up to load bearing, start light and don’t rush to increase the weight

    One question. When you do the weighted workout, do the calories burned reflect the work you do at the weight your device thinks are? Should while using the weighted vest you change your current weight on your device to reflect the weight that the vest adds?

  • @micahweedman
    @micahweedman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    But how many calories would you have burned unweighted if you worked out for 22:43? All this basically proves is that you if you work out for less time, you burn less calories.

    • @micahweedman
      @micahweedman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Actually, if you go by time/calories, you can calculate: unweighted is 10.1 calories/min; weighted is 10.7 cal/min. All other things being equal, if you had worked out unweighted for 22:43, you would have burned 229 calories.

      Depending on a couple factors. I have osteoarthritis in both knees. I did body weight squats then I started using a vest. My strength in my legs grew exponentially and the knee pain slowly started to fade. I'm not telling you it was easy or painless but strengthening my quads hamstrings and calves has helped tremendously.

But I’m not sure how I should build endurance in the most effective way, do you have any advice or do you have any video about this topic.
