For this being the first big map in Ancient Aliens, I personally did not enjoy this one. The archvile placement totally ruined it for me, exclusively in places that are too unforgiving, especially for blind playthroughs like what I did. Mostly at 18:12, it REALLY looks like there aren't any stairs there with how steep they are. I thought I was dropping into a pit on my first playthrough and there were just three archviles I couldn't hide from. I tried to run away, but then there were REVENANTS blocking the lift! I also didn't like the part at 25:06 much, but I can forgive that. Then the archvile at the end of the level is just obnoxious to kill as it resurrects the hell knights. Not that this is a bad map, but rather I felt it wasn't very blind friendly. More than likely though, it's probably because I'm very hard to please. 28:43 Also, did you know that because the common revenant fires two missiles instead of one, you'd think Hege would nerf the already high damage, but nope. Revenants can now do 160 damage at once if they want to. Stronger than green rev, and probably stronger than blue rev maybe.
I can't remember my first impression of this map, it was some years ago, but now I really like it. Big exploration maps that are not too rough is my favourite kinda of map to play with CH. But I can agree that those three archies popping out of the floor like that is a bit cheap haha, but it's not too bad on vanilla. And yes, I'm well versed on the double missile revenants, I have eaten more of those than I would like to haha. But at least they fire it slower.
