You actually can change the valve cover gasket in the frame. You can lift the cover by a inch or 2 were you can pull off the old one and carefully slide the new one under the cover and over the valve train. I have a buddy who done this to his 836
I have this same bike but it’s a 73 model. Not near as clean as this one tho. But it’s similar looking and it sure is a beauty. Turns a lot of heads fit sure!

I had a '75 750K in perfect condition back in the '70's. I had a Kerker 4 into 1 exhaust , a rear fat wheel and drag handle bars. I rode it to college until it was stollen. I paid only $1200 cash for it.
Damn , havin a flash back here . My Second bike was a black 74 , 750 four . My first bike was a 350 four, great bikes tough and reliable . The chain on the 750 got so loose that it through forward and smashed a hole through the crank case and i never realised until months later .
Hey Taylor !, love the build, just something I noticed, the rear brake arm really needs to be adjusted, it should be between 80-90 degrees when the rear brake is applied, other then that it looks beautiful!

I had a 92 750 nighthawk, it was a good bike just a little underpowered for me but I'm not underweight 6'4" 220#, also I went from a 900cc to a 750 so it's not surprising I noticed the reduced torque
Looks great. I'd be curious to know what he spent on all of that work, but that's a personal question. I'm not a huge fan of clip on handlebars on these old Honda's but they turned out pretty nice. Over-all a really sweet bike. Good work, Tyler.
Looks really nice. The only concern that I see is the license plate bracket. It looks like the plate will be horizontal & not really visible from behind.

Looks great! Noticed that the bike does not have a chain guard... I'm working on a similar build and was hesitant about this one - any concerns with splashing oily dirt or worse, getting whipped in the back by a torn chain 🙃?
just my personal opinion of course, but I think the wrap on the headers looks out of place. You've got the lovely polished gloss paint on the tank, headlight and side covers and a shiny muffler which all says class and care and attention - and then you've got a dull brown wrap that just says ah there's just some crap here that I can't fix, let's hide it with a half ass wrap.

Hey Taylor I wanted to ask you about your back 16 inch rim do you have a proper spacer for each side of that Rim because on my cb750 k3 I'm noticing it is too wide and there is only one spacer on one side of that rim and I need to fix this problem I'm wondering what kind of 16 inch back rim you have because I think mine came off of a freaking Harley. And can you tell me what size secondary and primary Jets you using, and is there an actual baffle that comes with that cone engineering Muffler?
what were the original jets and what did you change them to? also what air filters do you use as I'm doing the same with a cb 250 and think I will need to re jet it.
Hello Taylor I have a question for you brother I have the exact same exhaust setup on my CB750 with the Mac 4 into 1 header and a cone engineering shorty Muffler but the muffler diameter is a little bit bigger than the diameter of the actual Mac pipe, what did you do to overcome that brother did you find an exhaust gasket or did you just wrap enough of the exhaust wrap and use that as a gasket?
How much would you charge for a carb soda blast ? I already cleaned them dipped them and installed new o rings, jets, float valves and valve seats. I just want the finish to look clean on the outside.
New to bikes and such but very familiar with mechanics, thinking about getting a project bike to do. One question I had is why do you wrap the exhaust, are there any benefits? Is the exhaust cooler to the touch? Etc thanks
Not really, more for style purposes. In cars (especially race and turbocharged cars), you do have a significant advantage with less heat being distributed in the engine bay, thus guarding plastic and rubber bits in the perimeter of the exhaust and or downpipe. There is also the benefit of the heat being kept in the exhaust manifold, therefore creating more pressure as the exhaust fumes obviously expand with higher temperature and pushing themselves out quicker. This helps in creating a more free flowing exhaust. On bikes, where the manifold and exhaust pipes are almost always exposed to the air its doesnt make a huge difference. I did it on my Scrambler though so i saves my calve from being burned if i drop the bike. You can actually touch the wrapped axhaust for a couple of seconds before being burned, so thats my huge advantage next to the looks. hope this helped

Actually I'd like to know where he got his SOHC finned alt cover. Very nice and I'll add that the black paint on the tank is superb. Black is hard to get right.
Myles Lawrence True , once you pointed it out it did become somewhat more amateurish I noticed that finned cover as well and the gauges and guards/tail light and seat weren’t original either . I think they still make parts or you can still get new old stock but a lot of these younger guys prefer to modify a little and give them a cafe style , personally im old school and stock is the best way to go but all in all its a nice bike . Its is nice to reminisce and good to see the interest coming back for the classic honda’s they deserve it .
@@apollo5458 It was actually at a different shop that had sent the parts out for paint and put them back on the bike like that. The same one that attempted to do the rear hoop as mentioned in the video. Not Taylor's fault and something we both didn't even notice right away. Right when paint was done it was a matter of getting the bike shipped out with the rest of the parts. The bike didn't look anything like stock when I purchased it.
Are those the stock forks? They look shorter than factory 750 forks. I have a 76 CB750F and have been trying to figure how to approach getting the right stance. Some people say to just lower the triple trees on the forks. Others say that is dangerous and i shouldn't do that. Others say i should swap over to R6 sportbike forks which is kind of costly for where i am at on the bike right now. Can you give any insight on what can be done with the stock forks and the right way to go about getting the true cafe stance out of these 750s? @classic Octane Thanks!
they look stock just slightly lowered. I don't think lowering the fork is any more dangerous than riding a motorcycle... lowered mine full 2" no problems. Personally not a fan of R6/gxsr swaps
I actually have a 1973 CB750 k3 that I picked up for an unbelievable $600, not running of course and I rebuild the carburetors myself and of course an oil filter and oil change, and a factory spec valve adjustment and spark timing, I did have to take out the spark advance weight mechanism because it was completely gummed up and not working right, so just went ahead and clean that up very very good and now she is running perfect with the first kick every time, but I still do have to do a few tune-up things like change out the carburetor intake boots, and rebuild a master cylinder, and rebuild my electric starter because my electric start doesn't work at the moment, but considering it starts every single time with a single kick I really don't need it, and I did look into the registration and it's going to cost me just under nine hundred to get registered so that kind of sucks

Slick looking build. Not too crazy, but really clean and simple, leaving no doubt it’s a Honda 750. Engine and carbs nice with the blast.
