I think Towel Guy comes from a culture that based itself on the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy (so he must always have a towel) BUT he's also a Nudist (by his own choosing) so that towel is as effective as a complete star fleet uniform. He's got a comm badge as a clasp under his hand probably.

2 things I noticed. The giant white object that you liken to the Kelvan crystals? That's a d20 and I THINK the table that gets knocked over has Klingon letting on it, so it might be more of the Klingon-themed rpg Bat'leths & BiHnuchs. Also, the Boimler in the First Contact uniform has GOT to be Boimler's duplicate who got inducted into Section 31! That's a loose thread they couldn't just leave hanging knowing this might still be for sure their last season. (Tho I keep hoping they'll pull off a Prodigy, or at least get a movie or three!)
The furry guy skiing with Boimler makes me think of the Yeti monster in the really old game SkiFree for some reason.

Been hearing good things about lower decks for ages, but not watched. But now that Garret Wang will be there as Harry Kim, I WILL WATCH!!!!! He's my fave.
Noted lighting effects: Kirk's classic eyelight highlight falling across Boimler's face, and the wormhole rainbow effect from TMP.
We've seen the axolotls before in season 1 Much Ado About Boimler. They are Khwopians. Mariner and Ramsey meet them when they are cleaning out the water filtration system.
My one complaint about season 4, is we never got closure on Mariner & Jennifer, for better or worse. So very glad to see the show is giving us more of it!
Okay, fun story. I looked up the pips to see if Harry finally got promoted. The first list I found had all the ranks with the pips next to them except the single pip didn't have ensign next to it. The single pip was labeled Harry Kim.

As for the First Contact era uniform Boimler, it’s obviously transporter clone “William” Boimler who we last saw being brought back from the dead and being recruited by Section 31. Soooo looking forward to this season.
Its good to see Harry back. At the same time, im wondering how Harry finally got that second pip. (For example: Did Janeway run out of excuses on why she shouldn't promote him? )
When they got back from the delta quadrant, she was no longer the top of the command chain. She could no longer actively sabotage his career like she had been.

@@QBCPerdition It ultimately depends on when in the timeline season 5 takes place. According to Star Trek Progeny in 2384 he was a Lieutenant serving as tactical officer aboard the USS Dauntless. We can assume that after previously spending 7 years as an Ensign, with over a year of that also involving command experience, he was promoted from Ensign shortly after Voyager returned to Earth in 2378. As there are technically 2 ranks between Ensign and Lt. Commander (Lt. Junior Grade and standard Lt.) it's not out of the question for him to still be a Lieutenant, though he's likely due soon for a promotion.

The multiple Harrys Kim brings up the wonderful puzzle of just how many Harrys Kim are there. I think throughout Voyager there is a moment where there are technically 3 Harrys Kim existing simultaneously.

I saw a very good catch from Jörg Hillebrand on Mastodon about the tubes instrument T'Lyn is playing, they were originally from the TNG episode "We'll Always Have Paris", being played in the Café des Artistes.
"Too Many Kims" an episode. 😉 I think the large part of the horn of the tuba was collecting the energy and the small part was sending it all back.
Looks like Barnes might be turning into the hairy creature on the padd the command crew is high-fiving over. Which raises more questions... Can't wait!
And can Amazon or someone maybe do us a solid and save Lower Decks for at least 2 more seasons? Give the show the full "7 Seasons (and a movie)" treatment. Lower Decks deserves a place along side that pantheon of properties and it would be kinda poetic to see it also get 7 seasons like TNG, DS9, and Voy.
7:05 @Trekculture I think the hypo spray is more likely the toxic fumes from season 3 that Tendi is immune to but made Boimler and Mariner high. Their eyes did the same thing Boimler’s doing here.

That beam coming from the Cerritos' deflector dish looked an awful lot like the tachyon beam from "All Good Things..."
The two Ceritos one firing a beam from the deflector makes me think of the All Good Things temporal anomaly.

I'm not the biggest Star Trek connoisseur. Most of it I hear get referenced often on The Big Bang Theory. I started watching this show, cause' I was curious and because Final Space got cancelled. Now that I've gone through the 4 seasons, I can't deny I love it. Boimler is my favorite character. I love how he is nerdy but capable in his job. He started out a bit of an anxious suck up and stickler for the rules, but developed to be more confident and competent on his skills. I love Mariner, Tendi, T'Lynn and Rutherford as well. These five are such an underrated friend group. I love that Ransom while a meathead sometimes shows his compassion and capabilities giving him more depth.
Definitely excited for season 5. So happy this show got a lot of seasons.☄️🌌👽🛸🚀
You need to do a Citation Observations for the trailer. The Kim's look to be in a Defiant Class quarters based on the bunks and door.

Watched the trailer then came here. Thanks to the still shots I missed the "guerilla" in a uniform. I did notice that when Barnes if firing the phaser in the frame she's got a unibrow going on. And in the trailer she's got a more exaggerated brow. I think the TNG Barclay devolution virus is returning.
That alien that Boimler literally runs into on the ski slope remind me of the muppet character Animal.

Elaborating upon the final harry kim scene - it looks like the scene behind is the bunks in a defiant-class ship. This personally reminds me of the scene a long time ago of William boimler coming back from the dead as a section 31 officer in a defiant class ship. Could these be linked?
