@@rickygamingproductions I'd rathery say they do mediocre, the matchup is still at a pretty large disadvantage, but at least it's not an auto lose unlike most other tanks

I still think the worst thing about Mauga is the sheer overstimulation of his entire kit.
His guns take up half your screen and glow bright yellow AND bright orange. On top of that, you're usually being shot at as well, so you have the armor damage screen overlay AND the regular damage overlay. Then, if you pop Overdrive you're now glowing and shimmering AND casting a ring that does the same to your team. PLUS on top of all of that you have the gun sounds blasting in your ears AND all of Mauga's shouts and screams. Not to mention the fire effects on Overrun and setting enemies on fire, and all of this being twice as worse when the enemy is ALSO Mauga.
There's too much going on visually and audibly. Balance is one thing, but even the actual experience of playing the hero is probably the worst of any in the game.
To be fair Overwatch has always been heavy handed with VFX and lighting, I'm surprised it took them so long to get to this point lol
lol don’t forget about the almost constant yellow plus signs cause you’re always getting pumped with a ton of healing
The crit markers, being healed, nanoed and damage boosted too is just a huge amount of overstimuli.
Someone in one of the OW reddits said he actually gets a headache from playing Mauga. He said Dva was the only other hero to give him problems but nowhere as close.

I really wish they'd at LEAST add some kind of light sensitivity setting. My duo and I have issues with intense flashing lights causing migraines n other stuff. So even just playing against or with a mauga is absolute hell for us. Everything about him fills up your screen with so much bright flashing lights n shit. It's hell.
Lower the brightness maybe?
Unfortunately yeah, you’re gonna have to mess with color blindness settings and other adjacent settings to even come close to being able to handle it.
Sorry about that, I know how annoying it can be. I just distance myself from the screen and keep my room lit when playing. Helps counter it.

If you are on PC, turn down or turn off the blue light. I used to get migranes after 2 or 3 hours of gaming. After messing with the blue light filter I don't have that issue.

They really do need to do something about the visuals, with more heroes coming in it's just gonna get even more crazier. The first thing they should work on is the way bullets appear on the players screen/face.
The reason bastion counters rein is because his turret form deletes his shield and rein without shield is useless. Now imagine a character that's whole gimmick is to have 2 bastions as his primary weapon
OK, but hear me out, what's Mauga's strongest ability? His shout. So if you think about it, if you shield, he doesn't do any damage so he doesn't gain any health. You see what I'm comin from? Smart.
@@iamdescendance I mean you kinda forgot theres another 4 people on your team shooting down the barrier. Rein can not do anything fighting a mauga, he can only hold his shield which completely gets rid of the majority of rein's value, that being a brawler. Mauga literally makes the game unplayable for rein and rein has to rely on his team to actually get the mauga and if I learned anything from playing overwatch is that We cant trust our team for shit

get over it, both guns combined he does half bastion's damage and as mentionned without his e he gets absolutely blasted simply because hes as big if not bigger than hog. then heres a tip, play any shield or symm becuse of a small/fast hitbox + beam tank melter and mauga is nothing. been the case since his release, out of all the tank hes literally the one i find the least annoying to verse. i get to play the game. mauga's whole kit is ''aim the tank lol'', shocks me sigma and orisa aren't hated as much while they're absolute aids
these tests of which mauga can look at the other harder are actually insane(ly dumb)

This seals it for me, every comp game I play I'll offer the enemy tank a gentlemans agreement. We both can refuse to go mauga and avoid our brains rotting. It probably won't work 9 times out of 10 but damn it it's worth a shot!
You'd be surprised, especially in the second half or if you already showed you win as mauga I've seen plenty of swaps. Course I'm also normally on DPS focusing their supports, so a swap is a good choice for them anyways
Never in history of OW, the community agrees that a hero is so bad/boring/op, that they agrees to not play Mauga. What has overwatch become.

@@Bigotsandwich1995mauaga does shockingly low dps when he’s not critting or creating fire, so unless the opposing team has a bastion or some other form of really high dps, it can actually work super well. It just requires a lot of coordination. I think the reapers actually in the right here, and flats brain was just turned off from playing too much mauga
