I counted 36 but there are two that are missing-at least. They did a cover of Bésame Mucho which would be under the Bolero classification and "I Call Your Name" had an instrumental bridge that was straight ska. The Beatles were into all sorts of styles of music and all sorts of style of music got into them as well. This is why there is no debate as to which band was greater when the Stones are compared, in vain, to the Beatles. The Stones were a Blues band that ripped off the Beatles at every turn.
amusing...in that genres are usually things made up by critics, not by musicians. Many if not most Beatles songs MIX genres--a lot of early songs have Latin beats but blues structures and chords in the verse but not in the chorus, say...

Ween and Mr. Bungle are two modern bands that also do many different genres
I love Ween but I don't like the way Mr. Bungle handle genre hopping. It sounds kinda forced sometimes and they don't really have a unique style that makes any genre they play still sound like themselves.
@@user-wx2ek3uv1i I would describe their style of genre hopping as Schizophrenic, it’s not for everyone but I love it.
@@BungleGrindClown Fair.
Many people don't know the genius of these guys
There are bands and there is The Beatles.
Simple.
Now I dare you to make the same video with Bowie, Madonna, Queen, Björk and Pink Floyd 😉
Yes!!!
Imagine them doing punk rock, oi and Noise hee hee Never recognized the surf rock that I love by Ramones and Tacocar
Just a little versatile, these boys from Liverpool
So what kind of music do you guys play ?
The Beatles : Yes.
Paul: So, what is genre of your song jenny?
John:MINE and yoko😊
Paul:BRAH.
2:25 i remember that 3d animated beatles seen on 1 dvd
The Christmas records include Christmas music (if that counts as its own genre) spoken word and comedy.
Watched to see if you got Helter Skelter! Cool video!
I always felt like I Want You (She's So Heavy) could be argued to be the first Doom Metal song
Helter Skelter in reverse is TRUE doom metal.
You also could’ve added that Paperback Writer is often considered one of if not the first Power Pop songs.
I agree
I find it hilarious that there's still some people who think that the Beatles are just a pop group.
Super Video. Deshalb liebe ich ihre Musik.
In jeder Lebenslage kann man ihre Musik hören ✌❤,,from me to you, beatles Fan Ellen, from Germany 😭yesterday And lit a fire, for Ringo that,,it's getting better all the time,,with him.🥰
Every single song on magical mystery tour is at least twice as psychedelic as Lucy in the sky with diamonds in my opinion. I don't even think of it as the most psychedelic song on Sgt. pepper's.
I am the walrus
Blue Jay Way
Fixing a Hole is mind blowing under the right circumstances
I think the peoples always put Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds because of LSD
Simply... genius !
I love how yellow submarine is in the kids music genre
I'd personally categorize I Want You (She's So Heavy) as Doom Metal, more than prog
Only the way Type O Negative did it is it anywhere near Doom Metal.
@@georgeprice4212 It's more like a progenitor of Doom Metal anyway, mind you this song came out a solid year before Sabbath did so the mood of this song inspired the tone of Doom Metal
@@bunnyleaningonasquishedbun5542 I said that because I think The Beatles Take is even closer to Heavy Metal than Helter Skelter is.
i like the versatility of beatles
Every genre queen performed now!
Agree
Yes ! Queen masters so many genres of rock
Yes please
Agree
@@nonolegal3rien297 Not only rock ;)
Also Orquestal Rock, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Proto Punk, Jangle Pop, Baroque, Baroque Rock, Gospel, Circus Music and Spoken Word.
Tomorrow never knows, early electronic trip hop
Send this to someone who thinks The Beatles made pop music and Weren’t a rock band
I mean their early albums were Pop influenced by Rock, and their later albums were Rock influenced by Pop. Regardless, they were the best at Pop music anyway, before they experimented into many genres later
@@donald60s14 I don't think pop even exists as a proper genre, really. Also rock covers a huge territory and could be considered an umbrella term more than anything. Most of Beatles' early music was Merseybeat, a 'poppy' British version of American rock and roll and rythm and blues. I guess you could call it pop-rock, or even folk-rock at times.
The term ROCK N ROLL was considered valger do you remember ALAN FREED AND THE PAYOLA SCANDEL Where paid DJs played songs and were paid for it. The BEATLES were a rock n roll and when people say that they were the first boy band I want to puke into their ears 👂
I was waiting for the waltz "baby's in black"
What about Classical in She's leaving Home ? Where would you fit Mr. Kite ?Anyway, great job!!! That's why they always be the GOATS...
The Beatles forever ❤️
Los verdaderos percursores de la música universal
Excellent! Thanks!
Revolution 9 is also Musique concrete
Hey I don’t know if you are reading this but you should do this for thin lizzy, I know they are a lesser known band but believe me when I say they have songs that have hit so many genres
Gotta remember the fact they also helped with the invention of metal with heater skeleton
Heater Skeleton 😂
Im dying of heater skeleton
@@aHardNightsDayoh fuck yeah 💀 I’ll keep it
Cry for a Shadow might be a better example of Surf.
You could argue it's instrumental surf vs. vocal surf, or surf rock and surf pop, but that's splitting hairs.
The Stones were a Blues band that ripped off the Beatles at every turn.
very cool
Excellent
All you need is love
Esse conjunto foi realmente espetacularrrrrrr.
Y todavía hay personas que dicen que era una Boy Band con suerte y con buen mercadeo. Seguro no han escuchado más de cinco canciones.
I love the Beatles
これがBeatlesが最高と言われる所以
They were a pretty talented group of fellas. That's for true.
Still the best never happen again
Loved this!!!
I would love if you could do Michael Jackson (including the stuff with his brothers) and Elvis as well!
Need some shovels
Great list. I would also add *A Day In The Life" as Art Rock or maybe Electronic Rock.
And to think there're still people that say they were overrated. Smh
"What You're Doing" is jangle pop
Very good. But you missed out Instant Karma, which I’d say is Glam Rock, or more Proto-Glam Rock.
That's not really a Beatles song though
It's John's solo work
The better example of psychodelic is I am the Walrus, of rockabilly - Honey Don't and Matchbox (woah, how Ringo loved rockabilly, I didn't know!)
Perhaps you could do something similar for David Bowie and Queen.
He did Queen
@@AHHHHHHHHHHHHl oh yeah, so he did. That was before I found that.
I'm afraid I only just came across this channel.
The Best Band in History of Music
amusing...in that genres are usually things made up by critics, not by musicians. Many if not most Beatles songs MIX genres--a lot of early songs have Latin beats but blues structures and chords in the verse but not in the chorus, say...
obviously, the musical genre is a paradigm to criticize music, not to make it
I feel like you could’ve called I want you Jazz
Beatles é o melhor😍🤘
Guitar rock... rock being a genre whose main driving force is the guitar.
Pop-rock - can't buy me love
Ballad - Something
Western - Rocky racoon
No, Rocky racoon is a country music
A ballad is not really a genre though
Ballad - The ballad of John and Yoko
Ohh, you should do a video like that about Sparks! Very influential band, they played in many genres, even invented some. I also wonder what genre do you think their Lil' Beethoven is...
Gospel and Bolero are missing (Let It Be and Til There Was You).
Is this proof that the Beatles invented music?
Not
