Crazy how Beatlemania, a term coined to describe the mass exodus of people from their homes to the feet of the Beatles 4, is topped. Only the Beatles, man, God. Love those guys.
The Beatles will always be my favorite band and important to me. But I feel their only revolutionary albums were Rubber Soul and Revolver. Those later albums were the best but the times were changing so fast, what they were doing on The White Album and Abbey Road wasn’t much groundbreaking to what was going on in the rest of the music world compared to when they released Rubber Soul and Revolver. I worked as an Au Pair in Bavaria for 2021. I always played Beatles music eith the kids bc the parrnts were fine with it, it made the time more enjoyable, and even with songs that have meanings unsuited for little kids the innuendos that hide them are pretty effective. I remember being the age of the kids I watched and not understanding some of the songs until much later. All that to say it put me in the top .005% of Beatles listeners in my Spotify Wrapped but the thing is I enjoyed every minute of it. I flipped between TH-cam and Spotify a bit so I got to hear so much of the Beatles catalog but still not everything. I also cant always place the names to songs despite having heard them what feels like a million times. I heard them mostly with the kids, so I wasn't checking my phone every second to see. This video is actually pretty handy for me in learning more about my own listening history! I also love "Her Majesty" as a diddy, it's a shame the melody was never used for an extended song, at least something more than 25ish seconds. Ugh the Beatles carried me through that year.
I think all the Past Masters songs are so low because they are harder to find on Spotify. They aren't under the album list I believe, you have to find it under compilations literally at the bottom of the list. Sad because there are some gems on there
*Fantastic list, in the sense that it can be studied and analyzed and it will certainly be... Because it inevitably says a lot on many levels about the Beatles' young current listeners, it is a fascinating and extremely interesting subject of study. The fact for instance that it is a Harrison's composition and not a Lennon/McCartney that tops it all, or that "Blackbird" is in the Top 15 could in themselves become great articles and analysis... And what immediately struck me personally is the fact that there's a gap of about 300 bloody millions (!!!) between the N°2 and the N1 !... Probably the most interesting and informative list I've seen in a long time.*
I personally prefer mid to late period Beatles but there seemed to be quite a strong showing for early Beatles in these rankings. I wouldn't have expected Twist and Shout to make the Top 10.

It's interesting to me how the popularity of the songs I value most seems to change over time. I guess because I am older, I remember when these songs came out, and I assume that a lot of people who listened to The Beatles here, are younger--and have their own fine tastes and their associations with The Beatles' music. As Long As Someone Is Listening To Them, I say! The world needs The Beatles. The more, the merrier. I'm amazed that the Money-Movers haven't figured this out, yet.

I agree. A lot of people dismiss it but it's always been my favourite on the album.
In my top 15 at least
Thank You girl is one of their best... Same with I'll Get You... I'll get you is in my top 10 favs
I like I'll get you more than Thank you girl
I love how their second lowest count still has 1.5 million. Most musicians would be lucky to get that for their most popular song.
It's interesting to see what people actually listen to. The biggest surprises for me were Rain and Old Brown Shoe. Both great songs that seem to have been overlooked by a lot of listeners.
Just because its on Past Masters. If you search for a beatles song, the big albums are listed first. Who knows Past Masters, I mean it's not really an album. If this was in the 60s, the singles would have been more worth
It’s amazing the most played Beatles song on Spotify is one of George’s! I LOVE IT!
past masters has SUCH bangers, why are they all so underrated??!
idk, Bad Boy is to low on the list, I thought it was at higher fame level
Probably because people are less likely to listen to it as an album since it's a collection of singles whereas they will listen to the studio albums in their entirety
Because most people are dumb and only listen to the big hits and famous songs they know.
The B-sides, they are classics, This Boy, Old Brown Shoe, You Know My Name, Yes It Is, She's A Woman, Don't Let Me Down.

Thanks for making this list.
I'm truly flabbergasted at the sheer number of singles from past masters on the bottom on this list
My guess is that people don't really think of it as a Beatles album, so probably forget about it.
Sad because there are some gems on there
Best band I've ever heard.
Rain is one of the best beatles songs. The Inner Light is also criminally underrated.
Amazing spread across the greatest catalog
Here Comes The Sun probably has over a billion listens this year by now (or Very Close)....Amazing.
Probably the most interesting and informative list I've seen in a long time.*
so sorry for those 54 songs outperformed by revolution 9
Revolution no 9 is probably their only bad song
In my opinion, all of their stuff from 1962-1966 is as catchy as hell.
They weren’t the best band ever yet ;)
@@enzocarranza how? The Beatles were the best band during 1962 - 1966 though. I don’t think anyone until Zeppelin touched them after they broke up.
@@XD-zt4if i get it, but i meant 66-69 beatles were WAY more superlative and that one is (for me) the best band ever
I personally like early 60s beatles stuff more than late 60s during tensions
I personally prefer mid to late period Beatles but there seemed to be quite a strong showing for early Beatles in these rankings. I wouldn't have expected Twist and Shout to make the Top 10.
loving everything you've done so far. would love to see either a Queen one or an Oasis one 😀
thank you man !!
queen ive added to the list and oasis will be uploaded in a couple weeks :)
@@imakevideosonyoutube what about Zeppelin and The Stones? I think Elton would be good to but I’m too scared to have see Cold Heart at number 1

Hell of a playlist!!
And this is why the are the greatest band. Ever.
Their least played songs are better than almost all music today.
Her Majesty listeners represent 🙌
oh we do😎
It'll have a lot more if it was 6 seconds longer
If I see the word underrated once more I'm gonna die.
Such an underrated comment
This is insane list to me. The bottom 20 or so are some of my favorite and most listened to Beatles tracks. I've always been a fan of their weirder stuff, but i didn't realize that my taste was so obscure.
on the bottom there are also many songs from their first third of artistic life that I love
Wooooowowwwwowowwwww!!! SOOOOO OBSCURE!!!!!
The bottom twenty is more or less just some of their earlier B-sides and George Martin's Yellow Submarine instrumentals
@@dimwitted-fool Everyone and their mom are into black midi these days
I love how The Beatles had like 30+ guest singers on all their albums. Surely the person who sang “Fool on The Hill” isn’t the same person who sang “Lady Madonna” or “Helter Skelter” or “Hey Jude” or “What You’re Doing” or “I’m Down” or “Why Don’t We Do it in the Road” or “Here There and Everywhere” or “You Never Give Me Your Money” or “Oh Darling”…. man they must have had a ton of people lining up to sing with them!!
In all seriousness, “Martha My Dear” not being in the top fifty breaks my heart. It’s been my favorite Beatles song for 30 years ♥️
@@thesilvershining It really is a fantastic and unique song.
What are you on about? The Beatles did not have guest singers. Paul McCartney sang all the songs you list.
@@44oblong I know he did, it’s a joke. I’m being ironic 😂
@@thesilvershining How was your comment ironic? (Don't answer, that's a rhetorical question). I don't think you know what a joke is either.
I feel that many of the most underrated songs deserve to stand in the section of the most popular Beatles songs
HOW IS OLD BROWN SHOE SO LOW! (Side note the amount of times I had this reaction to songs just says how amazing this band is)
It's interesting to me how the popularity of the songs I value most seems to change over time.
I Call Your Name is criminally underrated. Probably my favorite early Beatles song. Definitely my favorite early John song.
In the end George won the recognition he wanted!❤
The best band in the history
is Queen

Interesting stuff (& great work) -- surprised so much of Beatles For Sale (or Beatles '65 as we knew it back in the day) was at the bottom of the list -- a gem of an album.
Honestly the whole Let it be album is criminally underrated. I could bei influenced by the documentary... but I generally think it's one of their best albums
I love The Beatles
The fact that Love Me Do and Obladi Oblada have more streams than Strawberry Fields Forever makes me feel sad :(
And I Want To Hold Your Hand

Tell me why is such an underrated song
Fantastic song.
Wow! That's way more songs than I imagined they had as a lifelong fan and I know most of them. Hard to believe any band could be that prolific.
best thing about this video is there’s definitely a few songs i’d never heard in the first chunk and i really like the sounds of them. gotta start diggin around in the deep cuts. sad only a northern song is so overlooked, that’s one of my all time faves
I'm tempted to ADD THEM ALL UP to see the FINAL TOTAL!
Hello Beatles fam🥰 hope you're having an amazing life!✌️❤
why, I love her majesty so much😢
The George Harrison-penned compositions are seriously so underplayed. Needs more love.
How are you going to say that when two of his songs are in the top 5 most popular songs by the band
@@bentownsend4017I did overlook that when originally making the comment.
What I would’ve meant, if I phrased it correctly is that his ‘lesser-known’ Beatles material needed more love.
@@Joelster-og4pf 🙏have a good day
astonished by the position of some of those!
I love "The Inner Light." Can't believe it was ranked that low. Definitely a Top 50 for me.
01:15 - _You know my name (Look up the number)_ - criminally neglected!
DAMN!!!!! almost a billion plays for Here comes the sun!!!
When I get home at #191 is crazy.
The entire orchestral section of the Yellow Submarine album is criminally under-appreciated, George Martin’s compositions are beautiful and paint a clear feeling of whatever’s happening in the story.
Should totally do this with Elvis too one day. Great collection of videos nice job
Great vid! When some of your favourite songs are well below 100 it really shows the consistent quality of the Beatles catalogue.
By the way, you missed a couple songs released outside the main discography like Free as a Bird on anthology which has 11 million plays
ahh i completely forgot about anthology, sorry about that!
@@imakevideosonyoutube The anthology definitely shouldn't count. Including side two of Yellow Submarine is questionable enough, but outtakes, remixes, live/BBC recordings, "reunion" recordings built around vault tapes of deceased members, basically anything first released after The Beatles officially broke up doesn't belong on any ranking of their official "cannon" recordings.
@@briangonigal3974 Free as a bird and Real Love definitely qualify as canon, they were singles and featured all 4 of them
@@briangonigal3974 nah, i think free as a bird and real love count. (and side 2 of yellow sub most definitely counts, it was on a main studio album!)
I would've added One after 909 (anthology version), Cry for a shadow, Shout, You know what to do, Leave my kitten alone, I love them all
Mr Moonlight is such an underrated song. My absolute favorite Beatles song!
I Don't Want to Spoil the Party and Baby's in Black being so low, continues to blow my mind... they are both absolute bangers
