Isn't it funny how we will all get on different kicks, but eventually, something brings us back to The Beatles. I was going through a long period where I was listening a lot to Warren Zevon, Townes Van Zandt and David Bowie. But I know now I will be going to a Beatles playlist next time I'm at work.
For those wondering, Let it Be have lyrics that say “Mother Mary” but Paul Mccartney actually meant his mother, Mary Mccartney who came to him in a dream. Let it Be is not gospel, but a beautiful story of Paul’s mother coming to him in a dream and telling him to Let it Be.
But it feels like a gospel song with the organ and the church choir, along with Paul's intentional double meaning of mother mary (i say this an an atheist)
Imagine if you added the solo discographies, Wings, Traveling Wilburys, George Martin’s soundtrack arrangements, anthology outtakes/alternates, remixes, etc. There’s a good chance you could somehow argue every major “genre” or style know throughout history (given a little leeway). Just a perfect musical collection.
The fact that you include “Here Comes the Sun” as an “Acoustic Rock” song when you have synthetic tonal music playing is insane. It was more or less a glance into synthpop
"Here Comes the Sun" does include the Moog synthesizer but not in that part they added in the video. That's an acoustic guitar with an electric guitar melody underneath. No synths there.
Some dude in the comments already mentioned great ideas for a remastered Queen video and I would love to see it, but if you're interested in making more of these with new bands here are my suggestions: Deep Purple The Beach Boys The Doors Radiohead Frank Zappa Genesis Rush The Who Yes RHCP (I'm honestly not too deep in their discography but they get suggested all the time so why not) Metallica Prince King Crimson The Velvet Underground The Grateful Dead The Rolling Stones Muse Nirvana King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizards (I'm not too deep into their discography, again, but from what I've got from their fans I know that they played a lot of different genres) Update: I listened to KGATLW's Omnium Gatherum for the first time and holy crap, they definitely belong in one of these videos
Another good one would be Grateful Dead, you could even do a list of different genres within the same songs. They played almost everything it seemed, being one of the few huge bands that could say they did some jugband numbers, as well as bluegrass, disco, English folk ballads, proto-punk, acid rock. I think there's a fair chance they may have invented a couple genres. Or at least are the gold standard (jam rock). Love seeing the King Crimson shoutout. I'm not that familiar with their catalog, but I've seen a couple vids of live shows, and they were fantastic.
@@snerdterguson you're completely right! As for King Crimson, you should definitely check out the rest of their catalogue. Even if they're best known for making prog, they have dabbled in a hell lot of different genres from heavy metal to industrial and even pop.
So true they’re so underrated bc ppl only hear like Hey Jude, Let It Be, Yesterday , yellow submarine…. 😂 yes these are all good songs but are so overplayed now they really need to listen to more of their songs before anyone can say they don’t like them 😂
although these seem pretty acurate and you have done a good job at it, for some reason I feel like i have been slapped across the face when I saw that 'Let it be' was GOSPEL! like of its kinda just like that but in the words of Jack Malik from 'Yesterday', "its the best song in the world"!
Although people like to hang labels on practically everything, from music to movies and beyond, the bottom line is clear. No other group in recorded history has created songs in so many genres. The Beatles defy categorization and as Harrison astutely observed, " The Beatles will exist without us. "
It's not just that they attempted all these styles and genres, it's that they pulled it off and most if not all were either extremely good, or actual classics.
I'm from Uruguay and the Beatles are the best band in history. We are in 2023 and they are still the best. I am indebted to England for educating me musically.
What's most interesting is that for a lot of these the Beatles didn't necessarily invent or spark off the start of a genre, but rather accidentally stumbled into them before they began
😂😂😂 the fact that I don’t think I’ve ever heard this song all the way through…😂😂😂 I’m scared tbh 😂 I do ask myself what the hell possessed them to write this 😂
"When I'm Sixty-Four" should go under Oompah Band. The reason being the way Ringo plays the drums using a flat bass drum cadence along with use of horns.
I feel like most young people who say The Beatles were overrated probably just got tired of always hearing their 3 most popular hits and just assumed that all of their songs sound like that.

@@riverw4721 No, it's 'Avant Garde' and one of the most important of its genre but not really psychedelic. Experimental too.
This video explains why The Beatles is a great legend
I'm just amazed how you managed to find and make some of these genres for this video
Wow, I haven't heard about a third of these genres. Now I have something to dive into 😃
The fact that you include “Here Comes the Sun” as an “Acoustic Rock” song when you have synthetic tonal music playing is insane. It was more or less a glance into synthpop
"Here Comes the Sun" does include the Moog synthesizer but not in that part they added in the video. That's an acoustic guitar with an electric guitar melody underneath. No synths there.
Here Comes The Sun is basically folk rock
your best video, the beatles are awesome!
The White Album my personal favorite album by them for the variety alone.
Some dude in the comments already mentioned great ideas for a remastered Queen video and I would love to see it, but if you're interested in making more of these with new bands here are my suggestions:
Deep Purple
The Beach Boys
The Doors
Radiohead
Frank Zappa
Genesis
Rush
The Who
Yes
RHCP (I'm honestly not too deep in their discography but they get suggested all the time so why not)
Metallica
Prince
King Crimson
The Velvet Underground
The Grateful Dead
The Rolling Stones
Muse
Nirvana
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizards (I'm not too deep into their discography, again, but from what I've got from their fans I know that they played a lot of different genres)
Update: I listened to KGATLW's Omnium Gatherum for the first time and holy crap, they definitely belong in one of these videos
I'd add Genesis and David Bowie to that list
I'm adding your suggestions!
Brh , Where's the Pink Floyd?
One overlooked genre is Granny Music.
That's why they were and are incomparables!
The best, The Most, Super, Hiper, Archi, Ultra, Non-Plus, The One and Only Beatles ❤❤❤❤
Couldn't agree more.
muitas músicas versáteis, mas todas conseguem ser únicas
I love the Beatles ❤
Wow, great video. Thank you for the information.
This is very well thought out !!
Just incredible. It's a level of creative variety that borders on psychosis.
3:26 is funny because they were basically just mocking the beach boys
Yet another proof that they are the greatest band of all time
How is this proof...just because you like them doesn't. Ean other people do or that they are good
@@stevens5541 They are the greatest. You'll accept it one day... when you grow a brain.

Very nice! I really enjoyed this! Thank you.

With everything ever said and written about the Beatles, I still don't think they get enough credit.
So true they’re so underrated bc ppl only hear like Hey Jude, Let It Be, Yesterday , yellow submarine…. 😂 yes these are all good songs but are so overplayed now they really need to listen to more of their songs before anyone can say they don’t like them 😂
They had not a music genre, they ARE a music genre
Wild Honey Pie has got to be the worst introduction to Lo-Fi lmao
Amazing compilation.
Revolution 9 is also musique concrete
thank you for thid seriously i love it
Wild honey pie is Lo-Fi?, THATS WILD
“So what music do you guys want to make today?”
“Yes”
YESSS, THESE ARE MY BOYS! Just can`t stop surprising, how brave and magnificent they were.
OMG.........The Beatles.............The Beatles..........For ever......
Maybe, "Polythene Pam" for Punk.
Great vid. They were so good and so innovative that they were on their own planet.
Il più grande gruppo mai esistito ❤❤
In 2023 they are still the best!
😎😎😎😎🎸🥁🎶🎵🎶
although these seem pretty acurate and you have done a good job at it, for some reason I feel like i have been slapped across the face when I saw that 'Let it be' was GOSPEL! like of its kinda just like that but in the words of Jack Malik from 'Yesterday', "its the best song in the world"!
Although people like to hang labels on practically everything, from music to movies and beyond, the bottom line is clear. No other group in recorded history has created songs in so many genres. The Beatles defy categorization and as Harrison astutely observed, " The Beatles will exist without us. "
Greatest band of all time
producer: How much overdrive do you want on Come Together?
Beatles: *yes*
Wait how is Wild Honey Pie lofi?
Low Fidelity music is meaning to music with imperfect and sometimes crude quality usually of artistic intent
Lo-fi is the McCartney album
Love Me Do still hits today and i never even knew that genre of music was a thing
Bro imagine if they were still active in 1980’s, I bet they would have made a rap song
3:55 hol' up
😂😂😂 the fact that I don’t think I’ve ever heard this song all the way through…😂😂😂 I’m scared tbh 😂 I do ask myself what the hell possessed them to write this 😂
classic 😊
Do Every Genre Gentle Giant Performed
Rhythm and blues 🔥
The best band ever❤
Amazing ❤❤❤❤
4:15 Music Hall | When im sixty four
4:27 Ragtime | Rocky Raccoon
So great band!
"When I'm Sixty-Four" should go under Oompah Band. The reason being the way Ringo plays the drums using a flat bass drum cadence along with use of horns.
When you run out of genres to do, so you invent a few more
Exactly. Ascribing all of those Beatles songs in those genres is stretching it a bit.
i read once in an article about the first rap song was supposed to be Come Together by The Beatles
You should do one of these for Michael Jackson and Gorillaz, it would be pretty cool!
But wouldn't be as good
@@stephenbowden2929 why tho
@@stephenbowden2929 Michael Jacksons would be better because Michael is the best ever
Nice collection
‘Swamp rock’ !! 😂
I feel like most young people who say The Beatles were overrated probably just got tired of always hearing their 3 most popular hits and just assumed that all of their songs sound like that.
Мораль
Битлз повлияли на все жанры мира
You forgot that one time they went proto-brutal death metal.
Elaborate
I feel like the Beatles invented the genre, Cryptopsy has paid homage to them as their biggest influence too
Aka Helter Skelter?
this is fantastic
This is one of the silliest videos on the internet. Some people just have too much time on their hands.
This is what makes the beatles great and unique...
